The cavalcade of survivors came across Murdoch, Emily, Toad and a train full of workers. Duck asked Toad where Oliver was put Toad just burst into tears, Murdoch gave a deep sad sight and told them his story. Murdoch had been coming home from the mainland with a goods train, he was unaware of the explosion and went straight to Brendam Docks, once he got there he found the shell of Salty the dockside diesel, Murdoch had a very bad feeling in his smoke box. Oliver and Toad were there too and both looked frightened. There were a large group of men there two. Bill and Ben ,who had been horribly mutated, were hiding from the men approached Murdoch for help, when Murdoch saw them he screamed, the heard this and charged towards the twins, Murdoch realised his mistake and told the twins to run, they did so but there mutations made them go at crawl, the men quickly caught up with them. Murdoch shut his eyes as the two were butchered. Oliver’s driver ran up and tightened his safety valve, Oliver screamed in pain and shouted at Murdoch to take Toad and get out of there. Murdoch didn’t wanna leave Oliver but he knew he didn’t have much choice, Murdoch rushed over to Toad and coupled him up to his train. Oliver’s steam pressure was too high and it happened. Oliver’s boiler exploded with bits of him flying everywhere, Murdoch raced out of the docks tears falling from his eyes with toad and his train in tow. Murdoch made his way done the main line, Toad was still crying over Oliver’s death, Murdoch tried to comfort him. The two then heard a faint sobbing in the distance, they soon found a mutated Emily, derailed and sobbing uncontrollably, Murdoch knew he had to help her but Emily begged him to just leave her there to die, but Murdoch outright refused, he had already lost enough friends and he not wanna stand by and lose another one. Being the mighty engine he was he pulled Emily back onto the track, he coupled her up to the train and they set off down the main line. To be continued………..

Ok, recap. Murdoch came back from the mainland, unknowingly going into the contaminated area, sees the mutated Bill and Ben, Oliver explodes…and discovers that Emily is still alive…wow.
