Wheneva I read a theory I just feel really grateful to the theorists...how did they think about all these things!!like we common people never literally never think deep about this things like y this happening..y this has been doing in this way..but the theorists always discussed about all these things..without them really society or a country could never be progressed..be it polity sociology science or wateva..theories are ❤️❤️❤️

Parsons is difficult for those who try to study it's grand theories instead of UPSC syllabus ( only two topics and only two concept of parsons. ..and upsc ask same two questions interchangeably. ...some time applied ) ...Thx for the video ..I hope socio will complete by March end ...Thx sleepy classes✔

arjun chalise "Sick role" is Parsons theory towards the sickness (illness)... He said that the sickness is also a functional and structural aspect. It plays a function to the whole structure. If a people get sick then that fellow is withdrawn from the normal social role. Thus giving a break to a person and giving chance to regain strength. But he also said that if too much people act to be sick then society will become dysfunctional. Thus there is a need for the chanelization of the sickness condition. Thus he gave two essential aspect of sickness role i.e. (a) rights (b) duties. A) rights....I)to be free from social role... II) to be treated properly B) duties....I) to accept the sickness... III) to get professional help III) to stick to professional advices. Thus if this sick role is played properly then society will be systematic and functional.... I hope this will help you😊😊
