If 60 minutes did not do that story, the Social Security Administration would have continued their brutal ways. 60 minutes, you have helped a lot of people struggling to live!

No payback should be forced. If it happened to me, there is no way I could afford anything to be taken out of my monthly SS check. Poverty sucks, and it shouldn't be made worse by our government's incompetence.

no, they messed up. they forgot to tax you as a borrower instead of a potential lender. it should be factored in and the repayment should be taken from other parts of the bills they created to control your money

Well to make matters worse the government is giving away billions of tax payers money to foreign countries while Americans are hungry , jobless, have to pay hefty tips to huge mega corps like Starbucks , they are hungry did I mention that ? They can't even afford to eat food everyday and here we are sending billions to different countries

When is he going to do something about all the denied disability claims that weren't even looked at, just denied, because of the overwhelming caseloads they have per employees, which they can't seem to keep. Actually have heard this directly from an employee!! It shouldn't take years & years to receive an automatic denial, since this is the intent to begin with. With all the issues in the world & government, whose ever heard a president address this & actually follow thru AFTER there in office? NONE... IF IF one is truly disabled & HAS WORKED their ENTIRE LIFE, & PAID INTO SS, then this IS THEIR MONEY!!!! NOT the governments, I think they've spent everyone's hard earned money & don't have it readily available. But then they must, when they allocate billions of money for many other things. THIS IS A CRIME, to hold back, cut the money and or deny the people there own money they've paid in. WHY DONT 60 MINUTES DO A SEGMENT ON THIS ANOTHER MAJOR SEGMENT SHOULD ALSO BE THE VETERANS DENIALS OF BENEFITS AND ANOTHER STUDENT LOAN DEFRAUDING, schools that WERE charged in defrauding students yet students still have to pay for an education they didn't receive!??

Holding back 10%!!! The IRS are the folks who calculate the amount of your social security they will pay you each month. They're the ones making the mistake, they should be fined and that fine should go to each senior citizen they miscalculated. Arithmetic isn't hard, but I guess for the IRS it is.... 👎

That is total bs. When gov takes loans from the ss big unatended purse rarely do they pay it back. And if they do its with our own money. We the people refuse to give more of our hard earned money. It gets taxed when we get paid it gets taxed at the bank. Then it gets taxed again when we spend it. And if have extra money saved for a rainy day it always gets taxed regardless

This is an all over the world mistake, i am aware of two females who lives in the Uk that suffer greatly, anxiety from this blunder sending them letters that the very overpaid by the benefits governments systems, it's cause such one's great distress, when will they get it right and stopped causing low paid females such distress. All these females that suffered such deeply distress of a overpayment which is no fault of thier own , should be given back that monies, poor females have enough as it stand, some of them not even have the help of a male to provide a child or children maintenance. 💯

I'm considering suing social security administration, I'll be half of someone I love, they wanted marriage certificate during the pandemic when they were hospitalized, I couldn't get it, they wouldn't update Social Security to the spouse, then randomly without telling us a year and change later, they just updated it and gave it but meanwhile this person is out thousands of dollars because they forced her to do a marriage difficult that they reneged on later.

God loves you and takes care of you so that this message reaches you. God is the one who created this great universe and has complete control over it. And the greatest loss that a person loses in this life is that he lives while he does not know God who created him, knowing the Messenger of Muhammad, the last of the messengers, and the Islamic religion, the last of the heavenly religions. The great intelligence, before you believe in something or not, is to read it, study it, and understand it well, and then you have the choice to believe in it or not. I advise you on this now before you do not have time to do that.
