Social Impacts - Expectations of others, school and friendships

As part of a project led by University of Sheffield medical students, members of our community have co-created this series of video resources, openly documenting their experiences of navigating long term and late effects in the months and years following their primary bone cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Each video explores a different aspect of survivorship through the lived experiences of Alice, Dave and Sophie, primary bone cancer survivors and advocates for the primary bone cancer community.
These resources raise awareness of the enduring physical, psychological and social impacts of primary bone cancer felt by patients, survivors and families, aiming to offer support through shared experience.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Alice, Dave and Sophie, for so openly sharing their experiences, and to medical students Manraj and Gee-na, for their time and dedication to this project.
