@@beyondoutsiders9581 I agree and disagree at the same time. Sometimes the harsh truths of society need to be shown and taught rather than being swept under the rug. As a Korean American in Korea, I notice Koreans tend to avoid conflict and keep their mouths closed. It's a good thing to save someone from hurt but sometimes, if you have to deal with the pain and hurt right away . I would've rather seen the women show the note, explain how it isn't right and then to ignore the ignorance. Nonetheless, great video and channel! You will grow.

I think what made some people not help may have been the fear of the foreigner not speaking any Korean and not being confident in their own English so they probably hoped someone with better English to approach instead. It isn't always a malicious reason behind things like this.

By all means don't go to Korea, but to say with confidence that you will judge a country by a short KZread video that wasn't done in any scientific manner is very unfortunate. There were no controls in place and they didn't check anyone who passed by to get an idea of why they didn't stop to help. Reasons could include anything ranging from not seeing, to social anxiety. Just because it can appear that they watched it and ignored, that can't be confirmed. Again, it is your right to not visit, but I hope you don't reason this way in everyday life. So many people visit South Korea and always go on and on about how kind the locals were, but instead of listening to first hand reports, you prefer to judge a nation based on a short KZread video?

the text was kinda small, and most people wouldnt bother to go up and read them, so its not really a fair experiment.

And also what were people expecting watching this video? An instant hyper-fast response from dozens of people walking by, tripping over themselves to grab the paper. I doubt that would've happened in any country. lol

Yes, younger people, no, older people. Korea is changing as more and more Kpop idols, accept, speak up and changing old prejudices. Racism exist everywhere, we don’t realize it, but it is systematic since childhood. We have to catch ourselves and do better. I am very open minded, anti racist, freedom lover, and caught myself just yesterday, of thinking as certain demographic people seems appear in rows in my town. A demographic I am not very fond of for no real reason what so ever. I had to look into a mirror and recognize the ugly inside of me. But that is how we can kill those uglies inside of ourselves, which is taught by society. Ask ourselves, why, those people just want a better life, like I did a long time ago. Why they should not get the same treatment as I did. If we catch ourselves of this, then there is hope, that one day this world can become the free Federation, where everyone is equal, fed, homed, happy, fearless and free. Thank you for listening.

I think that racism is still very common in Korea. I can't help but remember a guy from the Philippines who rode in a public transpo and an old lady thrown a cabbage on his face saying that the public transpo was only for Koreans and not for foreigners. He was very humiliated at that time and no one from the inside of the bus helped him. Very disappointing. 😢

My ex was Korean. Whenever she got a bit tanned her parents would say, "You look like a Filipino" as an insult. Korea is the country where the highest percentage of people polled "would not like to live next to a foreigner." Sometimes I was not allowed in some night clubs, as a foreigner. I'm not black, but cabs would pass black guys all the time, to the point that we would sit on their hoods so they were forced to pick up a black guy. They wouldn't provide them service even though they had been waiting.

Korean uncles are legit nice and kind. Most of the people who kinda helped me when I was traveling in Korea were either uncles or young women. Racism is bad and some Koreans are racist, but there are really good apples from the bad ones.

a lot of youtuber have been doing this type of experiment already, so people probably thought you guys are just doing social experiment thats why they just ignored

I've never come across those thing in India. Because in here We love foreigners and in our culture we believe that Tourists and foreigners are like God. We know 5 fingers are not alike. But still we as a diverse cultures, we have common feelings

@@sam.....1 yes you are right. Few years ago i saw a bouncer refusing access to dark skin people in a café in Pondy. And white tourists even poor ones were treated like kings. I asked the waiter " what is going on ?" ; he said " decent people only" .So sad....

Hi i am from England and I would like to go to Korea. Since starting Korean TV shows and films since discovering squid game I am kind of hooked. I currently have just finished connect series 1 and now started revenge of others series 1.i am finding Korean ppl as well as several Asian countries labelled as safe places and good people. Here in England not the same lol. The social experiments done on the channel treeman which is in China i dont see them working in uk. UK ppl are the reason I want to leave, whether it be crime, abundance of UK males messing around in jobs or in general and UK females not good. I always has a thing for foreigners since long time. And having watched many prank videos in Korea everyone enjoys it. Usa pranks I seen completely different and are done to annoy or anger ppl which not good as usa already to me seems bad place. I waz also very impressed to see and read about Japan honour system where many shops don't have ppl running them and your trusted to pay the right money with the money left on table for you to pay and collect change without supervision. That idea is amazing and would like to see that but as said this would never work in uk along with several other things, as uk seems angry and want to fight. Good interesting video, and one cool video in Korea was this as experiment. 2 people one Korean one American in it, American say he lost and shows map, his Korean actor friend listens in says in Korean if you can't speak Korean get out. This was very interesting to watch as each Korean who helped did not like the Korean actor telling the American to leave as well as throwing his map. I do think that with the huge amount of Koreans there they will rub off on the foreigners so the foreigners understand that crime or bad things is a no. Thanks for reading.

Korea seems like most busiest country than other countries in the world. That is why mostly did not care to help others. I always love old and elderly who are very kind to help.

Why why why would they have trouble with even fellow asians who look like them?! I get that if you're a racist, you'd be it against black people because they look very different or Muslims because you don't like how many of them are bringing their extreme beliefs to your country (which is still no excuse to bully someone or treat them badly btw) but these girls didn't look THAT much different from other East Asians nor do they have any sign of believing in religions Koreans disaggree with so what excuse could they possibely have to dislike them?

Could you please do the same experiment with people wearing Hijab? I am a Muslim and I really wish to come to Korea but I have heard Koreans have a lot of misunderstanding about Islam. Even in Daegu construction of a mosque was prevented by the locals.... So just wanted to know how many are willing to help Muslims?

I wonder what would happen if it's someone of color or Latin Americans

honestly i think the reactions might've been different if you were not asian. i feel koreans tolerate asian foreigners more than they tolerate black or white foreigners.
