Well, life of a doctor is not much like how it's shown in med but it is similar in some ways. The journey to become a doctor is slightly difficult but That feeling when you see a person sitting with his family and you know he's here because you saved his life is worth all the hard work.

@Meladrii
4 жыл бұрын
Mugdha Johri chronic pain patients are statistically the least likely demographic to be addicted to pain medication. If you use to many opioids, they stop working and that’s the last thing someone with chronic pain wants. This war on opioids isn’t affecting the addicts at all because they’re not in pain and there are always other ways to get high. Legitimate pain patients on the other hand, are suffering, a lot of us are even dying. The news doesn’t like to report that though. 😢

@@Meladrii this needs to fought before police, in the hospitals by limiting opioid prescriptions given after surgery. Give a weeks worth of not the strongest stuff and then move to NSAIDs and the like. The reason this is an American problem more than anything is Doctor over prescribing due to pharmaceutical pressure, patients demanding stuff with medicine seen like any other servive where the customer is always right and because most employers dont provide paid sick leave to allow recovery time so pain pills are needed to get back to work
@downhomesunset
Жыл бұрын
@@Meladrii I know that some chronic pain patients are taking the risks of getting their cut off pain medication on the streets-which just seems so cruel. Many have died from the effects of getting a poisoned pill. Others who don’t take that risk take their own lives because they cannot stand the pain. The “war on drugs” has failed miserably and it’s time to stop it and to decriminalize or even legalize these drugs…….

“parents aren’t supposed to have favourite” ...all parents have favourites. You can LOVE your children equally but they’re still there own people who make there own choices, and everybody likes and gets on with some people (shared interests, hobbies etc.) better than others. ‘Loving’ and ‘liking’ are two different things and with decent parents favouritism only falls under the ‘liking’ category.

What is with the croaky voices? Not just this show. Singers do it. Actors do it as well. People who do interviews do the exact same thing.

By croaky voices I'm assuming that you talking about Sargent Voight, forgive me if I'm wrong. The actor who plays him has damaged vocal chords from a car accident in 1999, so he has no control over the sound. It works for the character though 😂

It’s scary how easy it is. When I was 9/10 we were taught the recovery position in school and basic first aid, and I’ve learnt a few more things from outside of school. Everyone says the same thing though: It’s so different actually being in the situation that doing practice CPR on a dummy. You could know everything about first aid but if your emotions and panic get the better of you in the situation, you’re about as useless as the dummy you learnt it on

Same with the new “foolproof” OxyContin. You can’t chew, cut or put it in water without rendering it useless. So snorting it would be like snorting baking soda; pointless. Also in an area where there are a lot of ODs, wouldn’t the cops be carrying Narcan?
