A look at the Xbot Blink Focos sports gimbal after using it to record soccer for a few weekends. Also a look at the soccer cameras we don't have - Hudl Flex Focus and Reeplayer
We used the Xbot Blink Focos camera to record 11v11, 9v9, and 3v3 soccer games. It seemed to work the best on smaller fields. The best experience was having it right on the sideline and not having it up too high with a tripod.
If other teams were warming up on the sideline then the camera tracking would get distracted so putting it right next to the field, rather than back behind the spectators, seemed to work better.
Also, having the tripod low enough so you could reach the smart gimbal was a good idea. If the soccer tracking got off then you could adjust it with the knob on the back. Would be nice if it had a remote so you could raise the tripod higher and control the gimbal from below.

We got to check out the Flex Focus at the United Soccer Coaches convention and now are just waiting for the chance to order one. We'll let you know how they turn out.
