Chiiiiiillle ....the last sooooong baby!!!!🙌🏾 2020 was a really rough year. Welcomed my son into this world, and a week after being home had to go back was told in the ER if I left and went home I wouldn't make it through the night😳🥺 4 day coma, 3 week hospital stay 11 procedures, got out for my grandad to pass the next day. I sho nuff didn't think I'd make it. I'm still here. Even after I thought I'd healed it still brings tears to my eyes.🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 I know who was praying for me and because of that I was kept.

There is only one Dorinda Clark-Cole. I have always said she is the secret weapon of the Clark Sisters. Her selflessness and anointing to yield the right of away to the flow of the holy ghost and then get to her speech and recognize the other honorees. She owes no one an explanation with the amount of hard work she has put in for over 40-50 years in the industry. I was glad to see her recognized individually. Each of the sisters are individual legends and I’ve felt it often gets drowned by recognizing TCS as a whole. Great job SOAR Awards!

Me too! And I love how she ALWAYS honors her sisters, especially Twinkie. I have NEVER seen her forget to honor Twinkie while they are all together or apart. And she’s equally saying and honoring the 1st Lady KCS! And I love how she and Jackie keep everybody happy in the group. I’m not going to comment on how pretty she is, and has always been!

Dorinda’s so anointed and in tune with the Holy Spirit that she rode the wave of praise when they called her to receive her award before she gave her speech! Such a woman of god! Congratulations Rose! ❤️

Dr. Cole was graceful the entire time. This show is an example of why you still need rehearsals no matter how "famous" you get. They are all super talents regardless.

@@KHerronCOMS i get that, I really do. But after barely getting getting the whole show I was left absolutely disgusted. I'm just gonna paste paste my response to another comment here because it perfectly encapsulates my feelings (warning: strong language ahead) I physically cant believe people are praising it... I could barely watch the whole thing. Even the best Vocalists (in my honest opinion) weren't all that. The guy that sang 'my redeemer liveth' had an amazing voice but it felt more like he was bigging himself up than paying homage to dorinda. He messed up his timings so often it hurt to watch. I'm no longer Christian but even I can recognise the the of self gratification... The woman that sang 'Take it back' was horrendous, absolutely fucking horrendous (forgive the language but I was damn near flabbergasted). She barely knew the song, her voice was just.....lemme not start because I won't shut up. She looked like she didn't wanna be there. Nah I'm actually mad thinking about it The audio throughout was a mess, presenters couldn't properly be heard on the mic Honestly the 2 best performances were 'He Brought Me' (my fave of the whole thing) and 'I'm still here' (contrary to what everyone else says, I didn't like it anywhere near as much as people seemed to. Crystal's voice was just too....idk, scratchy and whiny for my taste and just didn't suit the song, but when placed among the steaming pile of dung that was this show, it was alright. Im aware I'm being overly critical but I'm sorry, that was my genuine reaction. The whole thing made me so fucking mad. I've been listening to Dorinda for almost a decade, I've loved watching her sermons online (when I used to be Christian) and I know her catalogue inside and out. The woman is a HARD WORKER! So many ventures, so much effort put into everything she does and THIS IS THE SHIT SHE GETS AS A TRIBUTE? Jesus christ, the more i think about it, the more this pisses me off tbh Rant over 😅

I understand your frustration - it was not put together well, at all. Nonetheless, she was the force that she always is when she hit that stage!

First off, I loveee Dorinda Clark Cole sooo much. She is by far my favorite artist that has walked this earth. With that being said, she deserved a muchhh more better tribute than what she got. They need to reconsider honoring her again next year and have things more organized and better performances because this was not it at all and she deserved so much better.

All of the songs weren't the best pick for the singers. And the technical issues were embarrassing. I've seen better execution at midnight musicals. I hate to go in like this, but I hate that we present half-baked stuff, post it all over the internet, and expect high praise. It wasn't as polished as it could have been, especially for a legend such as Dorinda

AMEN! They looked nice back in the 80s, but they weren’t enhancing their natural beauty like they do now. They’ve even got Twinkie on board, because she thought her best days were gone, but the other 3 ladies make sure she’s dolled up too.
