This show was so gloriously over the top and fantastic. It really was some kind of weird mashup of soap opera, Shakespearean play and gritty biker story. It's just so great.

What I really love about the show is the way it depicts the battle of each character and their inner demons. The actors did one hell of a job cause they make you love them or hate them. At least from the main cast - not a lot leave you feeling indifferent.

You gotta love how the musical choices more times than not had a double meaning due to the singer's accent. In this case "Tell me who's that WRITING" is also "Tell me who's that RIDING", in reference of him being a member of the club. Also, with "The house of the rising Sun" which also can be heard as "The house of the rising son", which is deliberately played while Jax's spot at the top of the food chain is solified. It was the chapter of the rising son.

Not only is John’s ghost at the funeral but the woman in the cemetery that Jackson gives the blanket to is the ghost of the woman killed when John wrecks his bike . She appears to both Jacks and Gimma throughout the series and you meet her husband and daughter in season 7 when the daughter throws a brick into the Ice cream shop. Sitter was good at placing things right in the open that you over look. Super show.

Probably the ONLY tv show I will never get over going off the air. I personally would've liked to have seen the series go 10 seasons, but I know that successful shows start getting too expensive to produce after 7 seasons. It's unfortunate that SOA does not get the mention when speaking of the some of the greatest TV dramas of all time. I will say that if it weren't for Sutter's crazy/over the top moments in the show (I didn't mind them, I liked them), it would have won awards all day long - instead, it got snubbed, especially by the Emmys over and over despite being one of the best critically acclaimed shows of it's day. I'm not a fan of many tv series' - there are just too many sub-par shows, but SOA was exceptionally incredible...a show that created such an incredible ensemble cast - very powerful characters, where you damn near "cared" about all of them...that's tremendously gifted writing. I watch Mayans MC now and will continue to, but that show just lacks something, it actually lacks a lot if we're comparing it to SOA - it really has no strong female character - Gemma was as much the star of SOA as Jax was. Anyway, top 10 drama series of all time, maybe top 5. We still need to see the Prequel, but the one I'm counting on is the 4th installment of the SOA universe - Mayans is solid, The First 9 will be great, but I want to see the sequel that shows Thomas and Abel all grown up - me personally, I would call that show "Sons". One last thing...tell me this show didn't give us some of the BEST MUSIC EVER!

My theory: this is the episode where the homeless woman reveals herself to be the ghost of John Teller. The rift between Jax and Clay is beginning to deepen because Jax has discovered John Teller's writings and Jax believes Clay is responsible for Donna's death. Clay and Jax fight; Jax gets drunk. Jax has slept in and awakens in the doorway of a mausoleum with the name PATMOS above it. Biblical scholars believe the island of Patmos is where the biblical John wrote the Book of Revelations. (Jax is reading is father John's Book of Revelations in the form of the SAMCRO book). Jax encounters the homeless woman for the first time. She's wearing Jax's jacket and she gives Jax the blanket that he later uses to cover himself before he kills August Marks in the final episode (the protection from his father). The homeless woman tells Jax where to find water to clean himself. The scene where Jax washes his hands is almost like he is baptizing himself; similar to how in some religions the hands and face is cleansed before prayer. The name of the episode is "The Revelator". Jax has not only seen his father John "revealed" through his writings , but also John Teller's spirit is "revealed" to Jax in the form of the homeless woman. Just a thought. Anyway, SOA is one of my favorite TV shows of all time, along with The Shield and Breaking Bad. I can't rate one higher than the other---they ALL are my favorites AND the best shows ever televised!!!

wonderfully analysis, only one thing wrong, the creator of the series already said that the woman is Jesus, or something like that. I like to think the actor who played John later season was already John teller in the funeral, gives another perspective because he is behind Clay and Tig, sorry for the bad English I'm from Brazil

It's Brooke Putner's deceased mother Emily. In one scene Jax looks at her photo when he visits Brooke's father's home after she smashed their bikes. I believe Jax even mentioned that she looked familiar. That's because he had been seeing her as a homeless woman. She was an apparition..

19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift? 20 Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon. 21 And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein. 22 And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon. 23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. 24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. 25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. 26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. 27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. 28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. 29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, 30 and say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. 31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. 32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. 33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? 34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: 35 that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. 36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. 37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. 39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. Thank you God and yes it is changing the world one moment and one person at a time until it spreads like wild fire and feed into the fire for those tgat share the same passion and once ya find that you start to find harmony and bring hope to lost souls and bring light into the darkness and lift others up from feeling like giving up one moment there are times in life tgat are lessons often hard to see some fight battles from things ni one knows unless ya know there story and truly no one can fully ever leave the game. Cuz it doesn't matter if ta win or lose ya can play it perfectly and stol pose and all so why bother play games at all just knlw God gives some chances to be born again and wash many things all away and show us. That the law of life one must pay more for remaining the same. And time for change and open ya Minds and knlw tgat we are nlt defiled by what goes into our body but by what comes from the heart iron sharpens iron so a friend sharpens a friend and just true leaders need to speak truth and hear truth in order to remain equally yoked on all sides and if can't hear or speak truth then can't build they selfs up and inspire others that to hear or follow them trust loyalty and family regardless of blood should be real brotherhood sisterhood even g and elders and kings and queens and all should stil just remain to old school way with new brand new twists and no one should have to fight alone and soldiers are slwqys out front and on guard ready to die for others regardless if they want them to or not we are the children of one's youth and they we can't destroy what some of us have encountered and the screams and cruel and the oain of things that no one nlt all know or vision. Will ever understand the pain and the reason that is life's of many that have lost there smiles and we feel with our heart it more feeling than hearing ya can hear it snd stil nlt truly know it or hears it feel me so we all have lives that are in the balance that we have be voices andcall for yjevones that are scared or don't have a voice or Ines that just suffer from injustice of betrayly and lies places upon ones that isn't there's tovown either own ya own faults mistakes and try to just live ya family and all you can and don't deceive others cause in the end nothing is ever hidden all things come to light and. Just stand for what ya believe in and never forger or sit down on things and ones from wgat already came from or knew a true Shepard nlt only looks out for tje sheep of the fold but ones that have left and ones not of the fold it about taking mcare of thr whole team regardless of what area ya claim amd all I walk amongst many breathers and sisters and. Soldiers and bosses but in tje end we all the same we all a father a mother a brother a sister a son. A daughter and cousins and even if nlt related blood doesn't akways make ya family feel loyalty makes ya family and. Ride for mine and go to war with the ones that trust it is earned not given so just. Love life abd be stand by to not what's to gain but what gives ys peace abd filks know tgst we all work together fir the better of all things light abd dark see nlt goid or evil opposite sides same coin value is equal to some things unless it is abusing or lies and abuse or damn. Hurt a child other as that there is no mercy I'm my eyes if go against the fam in sny aspect and all then God fo his job and he'll some places are not as bad as. We're the damn soul of those that will get taken to he'll but no tree can fully grow towards heaven unless it roots reach down to he'll God bless snd this sbd nany ones and alm gabe blessed tk gave them help me I my darkest tomes abd and those lil moments is what fills peace within abd gives me the fight to keep going as gard as times get abd all theboain abdvdarkness that is whst I live yet allvthe light is that have is gabe out to others and all cuz lives are saved and hearts are filled and reason for it all is the smiles upon the faces of the children that once never had shown one in so long thanks abd God bless to all and let's keep fighting for what we need to it's is time for change and it is slowly united we stand together we rebuild all things
