How is it going? I am still creating mine, doing a financial planner based on my journey; simple but cute and helpful.

This video really helped me so much. I am trying to start my journal business and keep going back and forth with either making them myself or using a manufacture. I have been doing so much research and I believe I found what I am going to do. I hope to share this with you during the kick-off call this week.

About a year ago, my smart phone all of the sudden decided to just stop working. The screen went black, after it emitted a high pitched screeching noise... and then just died completely. It wouldn't come back on at all, even with trying the steps recommended to me by tech support. I learned that day that I should have been backing up all of my information on my phone into a notebook, planner, address book, etc. I have always been a lifelong lover of all things stationery, but I'll admit, my smart phone had made things so easy for me to stay organized. That said I now have a paper planner, I'm transferring things from my phones address book into my paper address book, etc. I'm digitally decluttering, getting back to the basics, mailing letters and cards again, writing in my paper journal, etc. Technology isn't always our friend, so paper products are a must.

Where and what companies print my planner

Which adobe software do you use?

You are so stylish!! Thanks for your time & tips !! Found a great company to print my planners, that includes covers, inside pages, binding, etc. I recently requested a quote and they replied that each planner would cost $20!! So if I wanted to order 100, I would pay $2000 just to get them printed. What is my benefit then? Should I list my planners on my website but for more than $20, is that how’s it’s done? Selling my planners has been a dream of mine and I really hope to hear feedback and advices are highly appreciated!!

You would definitely want to make them more that $20 so that you can start making a profit off of your investment. The cost will depend on your ideal customer and what they are willing to pay. You want to have a solid launch strategy to get people interested in what you are offering well before launch day. Also, you could do a pre-order to get an idea of how many people order first and use that money towards the cost of the printing depending on how long it takes for them to be made.

Glad it's helpful! I honestly used both for mine because my inkjet had a better color quality but the laser printed things quickly.

This was a great video, I am in the process of making prayer journals! But I have a question do I need to copy write my journal? Or cite my journal? I’m a newbie and I have no idea the legal side to making my own journals

I sure wouldnt buy 1 each month ! Maybe birth signs will be better ! But make the book for 1 year !!! So for example a book with leo on it ! Rather than july ! If i see your july book n its july 20 why would i buy it? Half rhe month is gone ! Hope that helps n i also hope u started

My planner goes to a friend and whoever wants a planner.

How to you go about copyrighting your planner line and the stationary things with ones business? I’m having a hard time getting info on what to do before I launch. I don’t want my work to be copied by no one.

You can definitely copyright it if you feel more comfortable. Best thing to do is check out copyright.gov

Possibly look into getting your product created through Canva. They have printing set up right in the program and you wouldn't have to worry about getting any equipment right now.

Yes, I has wanted to buy overseas as well...The quantity that they want you to buy is crazy especially when you just started out. I am thinking about making them on my own then later down the line when the revenue comes in then I will look into it more. This is my 2nd planner and I can see what I did wrong with my first one. I just dont know what pt chipboad do I need to buy so it can be sturdy..any suggestions

It's hard to say because every project is so different! The best thing I'd suggest is to get on Amazon for book board and get a few options and see what you like the best.

Hey that’s really hard to say because it depends on sooo many factors. The best thing id say is to reach out to a company on there giving them an idea of what you’re looking for and get a quote.
