Torpedos usually aren’t a problem for me, it’s getting wrecked by higher tier BB’s. Even angled they can score multiple penetrations per salvo

True, Especially when you were lowered tier

my dispersion is so bad that i fired a full salvo just 8km away the cruiser was full broadside and it scored 1 hit 1 over pen for 1k damage

I think of N.M. as a Low Tier Montana. My setup had her as a mid to point-blank fighter.

I moved from the german battleship line to New Mexico. I fucking love this ship. Having 12 guns vs Eight and not having to deal with troll dispersion...this is what a battleship should feel like. I wish I was playing german battleships back when secondary builds were still viable. Because I love the playstyle of charging in and being a berserker and fucking things up but you cant do that these days with all the HE spam and the underwhelming secondary captain abilities / lack of true survivability. Been getting citadels left and right with this baby. I feel like Rock Lee when he took off the weights.

German bb did die when the captain rework happened, but I wish the NM was faster. Sometimes I can’t react/reach the other side to support fast enough

@@ShadowReady Its not too bad since you dont get matched above tier 7 often. Holy hell i feel it with the COlorado though. Getting matched with tier 9's is such a pain when you barely go 19 knots holy shit

This ship is very american. It’s fat, slow, and has a lot of guns.

Good video, just got back into the game. It’s both coincidence and ironic that in the same match, as I’m watching this in the background, I accidentally ram another ship on my team with the New Mexico. And then was spammed with HE by the time I finally made it to the battle.. lol

I like her, then again, I don't have too much of a problem with slow ships, she's actually the 3rd best ship I have (behind Mass and Wooster) Honestly, I don't mind the speed, then again, I haven't played her in a while, also then again, I actually got my first Kraken in the Colorado and my second in NM, but NM has always been very consistent for me, and especially in ops, she works a dream.

@@ShadowReady Ahh, I saw a video of the tier 10 Japanese DD where the guy was throwing torps at 20 Km. That was actually the reason I downloaded the game. It only took me two or three games to realize that I have no idea how to torp. Battleships much easier to understand.

@@ShadowReady Gneisenau Secondary is quite Brutal and his Secondary did more damage than his Main Guns

I recently got her, and in my eyes shes better for Operations then Co-Op. For Some reason in Co-Op, Destroyers and Cruisers constantly Overtake me and Kill-Steal. NM does do damage though.

Also during the kamikaze attack, the British advisor to General MacArthur died which was technically the most senior death for the British in the whole war. Luckily for me my grandad literally boarded as they were repairing it from the attack

Idk, been playing 5 days and have the ship already.

I used to hate this ship in my opinion it has a steep learning curve to play effectively but wow she is my favorite tier 6 battleship. Can out brawl anything at tier 6 except the Bayern, really good turning circle although she has slow speed, once you master positioning this ship is actually fun to play

Well I’m going through the hating phase rn because every single time I lose I can’t really count on this ship, I usually do better with the USS New York, every time I just keep getting targeted and killed, and then soon enough my entire team loses… New York is my favorite ship for now I don’t really like how the New Mexico is rn though, before buying it I thought it would be a better battleship and make winning easier, though it turns out to make it harder, I don’t know what will happen in the future, but for now I absolutely just struggle with this ship (Edit: ok now reading other comments from this video and others I feel like an absolute noob 💀 and just like one guy I found he bought it a few hours ago and he’s able to do a decent job while I bought it a few hours ago and I suck at using this ship 💀I just fire at enemy battleships then all of a sudden a sneaky destroyer or cruiser just comes in and maybe launches a few torpedoes then they shoot their guns and then I have to focus on them but when the enemy battleship is alive again they fire back and I die every single time this ship is bad for me in my opinion, and when I still try to slow down and not go deep in the wide open area where I’m in the most danger I still lose, and the armor isn’t as good as in the video, I just have bad luck

can you shoot the guns at ounce like I play in a PS4 and when I fire it fires one gun at a time can you fire it all at ounce 0-0 (sry if it doesn't make sense)

One thing, you cannot tank. You are not a German or soviet ship and you have thin armor everywhere. In this meta currently in this game, nothing can tank. Even my Kremlin. I had games where I just got HE spammed to death in the Kremlin which arguably the best ship to tank. But overall good video.

I agree, but I feel like you can take more hits than other bbs at this tier. And if you properly use your heal, then you can “tank”

Just got her. first battle went afk for half the game came back i guess a ship rammed me and died i didn't finished a cruiser and healed up and finished alive and sunk another battle ship for the last kill

So most Navy men would joke by saying that their ship would be the only lady that they would be seeing for years. And this is why most people refer the ships as a she, instead of it.

Absolutely hate this piece of crap. And the problem with it isn`t the speed, but the gun range. It`s literally the worst in tier, even some cruisers outrange it. And if you try to push - you get burnt down into oblivion. Good armor doesn`t matter when you are HE spammed. The only good thing about this ship is torpedo protection, especially when angled, you don`t suffer much from them.
