It's ok to be civil and to have a good relationship with an ex, but NOT to literally hang out with them and their family whilst you're dating someone else. That's what he's doing wrong and also bringing up Tiff all the time in front of Zara.

People need to STOP with this "insecure" bashing of Zara. Ex boyfriends had me feeling needy and paranoid and as soon as i got out of those relationships and got some perspective i realised i was absolutely right to feel paranoid!!! They were useless. Not once has my husband made me feel that way. He lifts me up and respects the hell out of me. Its not Zara, its the relationship. Period.

Sam is not a protector AT ALL and lacks serious loyalty; almost to the point that I would question his integrity. Why's would he apologise for not going? All that does is inadvertently throw Zara under the bus. 😑 All he needed to do was thank Tiff for the invite, say that it wouldn't be appropriate, and then leave with his Mrs. That's it.

1. Tiff is pretty manipulative and sneaky, asking Sam out for brunch with her family is kind of a slap in the face to Zara, and she only did it to prove that she still has a hold over Sam. That she's "special" to him or something. 2. Sam is desperate to be portrayed as the good guy in Tiff's eyes, and is willing to go out of his way to maintain his image and ego at the expense of Zara's feelings. Selfish and complacent, causing awkwardness and tension and then leaving Zara to pick up the pieces. 3. Zara is failing to realise that Sam needs to take responsibility and detach from his ex. The only reason Tiff is comfortable asking Sam out, is because he allows and encourages it. Right now, Sam is to blame.

Buscuit Bear obviously. But take a show like house hunters, all very staged, but one of those houses, they actually bought (albeit, before filming). What I’m saying is, I’m curious if some of this issue with tiff has a foundation rooted in reality. Zara seems extra bothered and I can’t help but feel bad for her if some of this, any of it, took place in their real lives.

Why would Zara even feel insecure over Tiff?? She’s in a completely different league to her.

Controlling- telling someone that they can’t be friends with someone, isn’t on the checklist for abusive behaviour? Yep. Let’s not forget about the times she’s complained about Sam going out or hanging out with other friends. Manipulation - crying not through general upset but in an effort to either seek control or because you feel a loss of control isn’t on a checklist for emotional behaviour? Yep it is. Also forcing yourself into a living situation with a partner is one of the big red flags of abusive partners. Not to mention her constant berating & claims that he doesn’t care if he doesn’t agree with her. If the sexes were reversed in this situation everyone would say Sam was controlling & abusive.

Elle Cee It is emotional abuse to continually hurt your new partner by making them jealous. You do realise emotional abuse comes in many forms??! Especially doing things that are “borderline” where they can try & wriggle out of it.

I'm surprised Sam and Tiff actually managed to get on good terms when their relationship was a whole ass rollercoaster of cheating on each other

Couple of years back we had to watch Tiff ugly-crying on a beach begging sam not to break up with her because she wanted to marry him and have kids. Few years later she's wondering why his current girlfriend thinks it's weird they hang out. Riiiiiiiight sis. Tiff and Myton have THE WORST dating history ever and yet are dishing out dating advice.

I was friends with an ex for 8 years after a 3 month relationship, though I appreciate most would just call that dating. Either way, he was one of my best friends for years. We didn't have enough in common to have a serious relationship, but we had enough in common to be close friends. It is possible. However, there's more going on here. Sam genuinely seems obsessed with Tiff and should be putting Zara's needs first - if he wants a future with her. As soon as my ex met someone (it took 8 years), our friendship ended. It worried her (I assumed), so he cast me aside without a word (which was really the worst part about it). Being ghosted by my best friend was tough. I was going through a rather traumatic and prolonged experience. In addition, several friends had entered into relationships and disappeared off the face of the earth. However, I had to accept that it was because he was thoughtful. He wanted a future with her and our 8 year old friendship wasn't compatible with that because it made her unhappy. In the end, I deleted him off Facebook because I knew we'd never speak again. Ultimately, her needs were more important than mine and he was being respectful to his partner. 🤷‍♀️ The funny thing is, I only found out she'd been insecure when she messaged me two months ago to invite me to his 30th birthday party. I had to tell her we hadn't spoken in years! 🤦‍♀️

@@uok6216 I didn't go because, despite accepting what he did, I wouldn't call him a friend anymore and it would have been wrong to pretend otherwise. I also don't know him anymore and we've drifted apart, so I wouldn't have a clue what to say. His girlfriend just wanted it to be the best birthday party ever so he invited everyone who'd been his friend. From what I've heard, that's just what they do: they go out of their way to make birthdays and Christmases really special. :) She told me she'd been anxious, but they're married now and have been together for a while, so I suppose she felt it was ok. I also don't think she ever knew we were close friends because she never saw us being close friends. 🤷‍♀️

@@ellies1095 I'm so sorry to hear that. :( It is a truly difficult experience and made me lose confidence in friendships because they can disappear at any time. Has your friend started to ignore you or do they still want to talk to you? I don't know how old you are or how serious your friend's relationship is. My ex's relationship became serious quite quickly. We were in our mid/late 20s and they were so well suited, I knew they'd last. At first, I wanted to remain friends (after all, we'd dated for 3 months only and been friends for 8 years), so I invited them both out for a drink with myself and my partner at the time - and spent the entire evening having a lovely conversation with her. He asked her if they could leave after 45 minutes. 🤷‍♀️ However, I wouldn't have done this had we dated recently or been together for a long time. I do think it's best to cut ties with exes if things were serious. If you and your ex weren't together for very long and dated some time ago, you could offer to meet up in a four (if you're not currently in a relationship, you could ask what they would feel most comfortable with - meeting you alone, meeting you with a female friend or meeting you with a male friend). However, let them decide whether or not they'd like to meet as a couple. Give them time to discuss it privately and let your friend know that whilst you'd like to meet, you realise they (don't blame the new girlfriend) might not want to. Ask them to give you their decision as a couple so that he doesn't feel he's throwing his girlfriend under the bus, so to speak, by blaming her if it's a no. If you were serious or dated recently, it's probably best to cut ties with him instead. Meeting up probably won't be appropriate - especially if the girlfriend is worried. I understand it's difficult and it might even feel unfair, but imagine being the new girlfriend (like Zara is in this video). Cutting ties was certainly the best thing for my emotional wellbeing. It would have been whether they'd lasted or not. In the end, they did last, but even if they hadn't, it's difficult to be friends with someone who just ghosts you.

Thank you so much Judy , such a thorough reply and for that I am so grateful! 🌻 The hard thing is me and my ( blocked) best friend were exes as well as best friends , we dated for about a year but we both agreed we should have stayed friends , We both moved on and I got a new boyfriend and we ghosted eachother and my boyfriend is so lovely but he said ( understandably ) that he can’t be accepting of us ever being friends again because of our past and he said I shouldn’t have him on Facebook so I blocked him and I never got chance to explain why . Although I know I why my boyfriend wanted me to block him, I’m still in pain about it and I have been for around 4 years , I feel like the worst person in the world , because although we ghosted eachother I ultimately blocked him , and it hurts me so much that I never explained why , and I miss him x just the friendship though , nothing about the relationship x I still hurt about it until this day and I always wonder if he’s hurt too as I never want to hurt anyone x I just wish we could all be friends but I know that’s not the case , just finding it really hard , like a loss ❤️

1000% agree! See how he tried to tell Sam to go and meet Tiff and her dad without telling Zara. And then later he gave up. All he does is stir up drama and tries to give bad advice to his friends that he knows full well isn’t the right thing to do. I don’t see how other people don’t see he’s so conniving but tries to play it off as just a dumb friend with bad advice.

Tiff used to get jealous when Sam mentioned other girl's names (like when Liv first came on the scene) so she definitely can't say that Zara is being insecure about something so inappropriate 😂

Zara and others told Tiff that she was feeling a bit anxious about having her around. So if Tiff wanted to be friends with Sam again she should have been more thoughtful about that and invited both of them to something so they could all hopefully break the ice more. For a first reach out, trying to build a friendship, inviting him to meet only her and her Dad wasn't a good choice. Sam of course is being an unsupportive, disloyal asshole. *Of course* Zara is insecure when Sam acts this way.

Anybody who watched Sam on celebs go dating (both times), would know that he is not boyfriend material.

He didn't have the balls to tell them until they got to the holiday abroad. Also, he just acts like a little boy, he's super super childish, I mean there's childish and then there's Sam. He literally behaved like a 10 year old on all of his dates, he never knows when to shut up and he was cringey as hell. Not a man quite yet, very much still a little boy in a man's body. Agreed. I watched him on celebs go dating. He is 27 now and I think he is one of those guys that will only grow up and get serious in his 30s. Which sucks for the girls who are serious about him. But he will still need at least 5 years to grow up and be a good partner in a relationship.

Tiff knows what she’s doing. She wouldn’t have invited sam for lunch with her dad if she had a boyfriend, which makes it wrong.

Yoooo anyone sticking up for tiff, I feel they ain't been in love or dealt with a proper relationship. That shit is hella inappropriate and not normal. No one would be cool with their partner chilling with their ex and their exs family. Nothing to do with being secure....just general respect. it's not about different standards, it's about different BOUNDARIES. there is a difference and zara should clearly communicate to sam her boundaries within a relationship (and within his relationship with his ex/and family) and how that makes her feel.

Sorry is an ex a ex for a reason, like that they EXIT out of your life like..... for good, I couldn’t rekindle with my ex and be “just friends” like there is so much history there and that’s too painful, my ex said if we ever did break up he would stay in contact with my dad and sometimes my dad would text him to play darts and he dosent because it’s too painful

This reminds me of the argument they had in Ibiza where Tiff was just manipulating everything Sam was saying and it took Julius to get involved and stand up for Sam and shut Tiff down and expose how manipulative she is
