Oh wow, this is such a treat to see all of your gorgeous babies! I LOVE them all so much! I cannot believe you've had your Morgan Lilly for that long already! Lol! Time really flies by when you have CT babies and I feel like we simply never tire of them! She truly is spectacular! Every time I see her I am in awe of her! I'm soooooo in love! Just when I think Claire can't surprise us with anything new, she always does! She really is such a pioneer as an artist! She's just so talented and innovative with every doll she creates! Oh, great question.......Linda Webb OOAK babies started it all for me! There was such a level of realism even back when I started out in this hobby in 1999 and stumbled upon her website and it was instant infatuation for seeking out and bringing home one of her dolls or anything I could find like it! Unfortunately the waiting list for one if her dolls was so long that she retired before she even got to my name on that list! Hahaha! Now that's one looooong list! Lol! I did manage to get my hands on a good handful of her dolls off the secondary market and eventually brought home Aimee Webb, the one and only exact baby that started it all for me! I still have her and she's safely tucked away and brought out on occasion to enjoy from time to time. That doll set the standard for me all those years ago and I have continued to seek out the most ultra realistic doll that I can find and I think I have achieved that in Monroe and with Claire Taylor's artistry! I am still pinching myself that I have Monroe and get to enjoy her every day! I have never followed the crowd with my doll choices over the years, I definitely seem to pick the more unusual ones filled with a bit more character which is definitely not everyone's cup of tea for sure but they suit me and all of my choices over the years are what eventually brought me to Monroe who I think is the perfect baby for me! I guess the “collector story” is unique to each one of us.. thank you for sharing your own inspirations along the way.. and sharing all your historical videos with us to watch over and over.. massive hugs to you and your amazing collection of current realistic baby dolls, bought after experiencing some truly outstanding artists work.. and settling on what for you IS the best of the best 🙏😘🙏😘🙏
