Exactly! And it's not like they have a massive team of contractors working for them, it's mostly just themselves and some family and friends!

What I so enjoy watching your progress is how much you encourage each other. You seem proud of what each other’s accomplishment. You may have no idea how much you give light to our day.

Faux finishes were the norm in many historic houses of your vintage. Things take time to think through so take a breath and ponder before you labor. Coffered ceilings add wonderful detail to ceilings as well. Your efforts are all so spectacular and I am sure your work is appreciated by the locals. Wishing you a day overflowing with praise.

Ash, you’re a terrific tour guide. I almost feel like I’ve been there. I love the painted wood grain. As someone who used to do that for a living and used to teach my apprentices how to do it, you have excellent skills equal to any professional. The awnings will get done when they get done just like every other unfinished piece. You’re all doing excellent work. I always look forward to seeing more.

I love the salon you haven't started on yet...cosy old plaster walls, dusty-pink furniture & curtains, coupled with old style shutters with greenery peeking through , that really has original charm.

I watch this show in part, because i am also very interested and dabble in interior design and personally believe Terry is somewhat of a GIFTED MASTER. To me the rusty awning frames are a testament to how far you’ve come to fully restoring this beautiful property.

It would be interesting to do dendro dating on the removed beams to see when the trees were cut down.
