Im not saying the old windtraces aren't fun, but this new one feels better imo way more action for both parties instead of staying in a place waiting for the time to go out, as a rebel you actually has to play now. i love deceiving the hunter pinging the machines back and forth

This is aight, but the original hiding one felt more thrilling to me. Absolute nerves while watching all sides to make sure you weren't found. They should just make two modes if they want to keep this version: hide and seek, and tower defense.

As much as I want the primos, I'm honestly not a big fan of Windtrace. Usually I love Prop Hunt based modes, but for some reason this one just isn't fun to me.

Same! I love the co-op events, especially the “olympics” one and the recent lantern rite one, but this one really is a downer. 😩 it’s so long and most of the time you’re just sitting there. Or the hunter goes afk on purpose

-maps need to be bigger to effectively suit this game mode. -Hunter needs to be penalized for camping At least. It’s stupidly easy to win as Hunter. It seems that their attempt to balance the roles actually made it worse.

i think the map size is ok, its just about teamwork and strategy as a hunter you either play as a manace rushing into rebels and capturing them or controlling a general area to make things difficult for the rebels and as rebels you always want to deceive the hunter attention and if possible break the hunter control area if played right is a guaranteed win in both situations

What? Is actually more easy as a rebel, I win every single time as a rebel and as a hunter sometimes, being a hunter is difficult with good rebels and being a good rebel is really easy

Most of my matches it’s usually either me and maybe one other person that’s doing something other than running around aimlessly or hiding. I’ve played against good rebels and I’ve never lost as a hunter. It’s way too easy.

@@Zhongligeoarchon honestly I also always am the only one doing something, but we still win because the hunter sucks at finding people and the others at least know how to not get caught. It doesn't matter if you are the only one doing something, you can still win if you try hard, the time is what stresses out in that situation but just talk in the chat for rebels while hiding, if someone distracts the hunter, you can win easily, rebels have it easy, they just don't use the tools they have to their advantage, it's a strategy game, not just hide and seek, the hunter has zero advantage in this game, it's just that people don't realize how many things they can do to win easily

For me this event kinda unfair Hunter has skill and buff that can cc prey. I play hunter once and ez game

Nah, that's just the rebels being inexperienced then. Because this version is more balanced than the older one which you can just abuse some hiding spots and basically wait until the timer ends, which is also boring.

@@Kuma_kuma_bae Remember the object that can be used as disguise. At the start, rebels spawn far or on the opposite side of the hunter, so pay attention to the furthest devices. You have unlimited stamina so you have to buy time as much as possible, remember to win the favor also (I prefer using Imprisoning). It's better to use tall or short male chars as they can run/bhop faster respectively. Avoid sprinting, simply dash with an interval (most people dash 2x in a row which is slower than if you dash every e.g. 0.7s). Don't always chase in a straight line, cut their path if possible. Choosing the suitable abilities helps. The only hard part being the hunter is that you can't break the device reparation progress.

I prefer original version of windtrace than this one. I was so excited when i heard that we will be getting windtrace, but this version kinda ruins it for me. The older version used to be hide and seek concept, reliving childhood memories but the new one feels kinda forced? Anyway not a fan.

I dont like this mode at all i hope they will let us pick the mode we want in the next windtrace rerun

ive played dead by daylight, the game this mode is based on, and this version i think is more balanced. the normal game mode is naturally inclined towards rebels, bc multiple gens to take care of + being able to see where the hunter is + being able to hide or disappear for a bit is very rebel beneficial things. however, hunters also get the benefit of being able to patrol a 3 gen situation (in dbd it means guarding three close gens closely so rebels cant ever get to them), getting the most beneficial favor (being able to see where all survivors are) and being able to see directly what gens are being worked on. so even tho it feels unbalanced, i think its actually well balanced for now--just needs tweaking to make the gameplay more intuitive

i feel like its hard to be rebel now, but idk I have to play it, but it seems really unfair now

It kinda is...because as a hunter you can just hog the machines to keep the rebels from fixing it and easy win. Heck once as a rebel I hid and was the only one left because the Hubter couldn't find me. We lost even though the hunter couldn't find me. It's heavily unfair

i won in 45 seconds on my first match as a hunter. it was easy since they were all grouped together at one of the devices.

I had a lucky guess and captured all of the rebels within the time limit when I had 10 seconds left, they were done with 3 machines but overall I think it's pretty hard as a rebel to have progress on the machines

I honestly hate forced co-op events. One of the best parts of Genshin is i do not have to compete with anyone but myself. Forcing people to co-op for rewards just opens the door to players abusing other players.

I love co-op events. There is barely any co-op content and it’s not something that happens a lot. There is a lot of solo events too so I don’t think it’s a big deal. It seems like you expect the worst by the abuse statement. Bad experiences are bound to happen and if someone is rude just leave. I play co-op a lot and this has only happened a few times most are nice or just quiet

@@r_.i_.nThe reason they did that was so people don’t just grind coins off of friends. They want you to play the event they played, not just afk grind the whole thing. :D

I love this windtrace more than the previous versions. It is a easy win being a rebel with good teammates.

This event is so fun to play, I wish Hoyo can keep it forever.

This one's really hard for rebels unless the rebels communicate and decide to work on the same tower for faster repairing.

This is my first windtrace… I hope it will go well

played around 7 games, never lost. 1 time hunter, 6 being rebel. it was fun.

I won all hunter round so far, just one the rebels almost win but the devices left are close together so the rebels can't win easily since I camp there. As a rebel you just need team mate who doesn't just hide. I was hiding at the first game and thought I would win by not getting capture. But after few games playing rebels are quite fun when you actually have good team mate and won.

for the liyue temple area as hunter I use the top of temple to watch everyone, as hunter I always use high places so I could exactly see where the rebels are going and even will always check if anyone is also trying to fix the middle one. and when i see a rebel moving somewhere I WILL GLIDE TO THEM from the top of the temple and I DO NOT GIVE ANY MERCY.

I wish they made a map for sumeru and fontaine

I like both old and new version, but more like the new one a bit. In the old version, it's hard to became hunter. In this version, hunter has many advantages but rebels still has a big chance to win, too. So, it's more fair.

I disagree. Once I got used to it, my win rate for Hunter in the old Windtrace was 95% and felt like I deserved it for my efforts. This new one is so easy that I feel like I'm cheating.

I actually like the rebel version this time coz it feels like a team effort, as long as your paired with good team mates that does multiple trigger at the same time, great! But if your team mates are too afraid to do repair you guys pretty much screwed haha

My most satisfying match as the hunter was when I caught all of the rebels and won the match while joking with them in the chat too lmao

Idk if it's my ping or something but I can't catch the rebels even if I spam clicked the skill even tho they're right in front of me 😭 It's so frustrating

I played as hunter 3 times and never won even once💀. The rebels were scattered throughout the map. They're tampering with 3 devices all at once.

I already wasn't a fan of windtrace and after seeing what it's like now I'll probably just afk all the way to get rewards and forget about it

As hunter, just spam bhop for faster run, must get favor but use as last resources so you can have fun As rebel: one of us need to be bait to play tag with hunter while other could take 2-3 and you take the rest when hunter is frustrated to follow you, and again have fun😮

Imo I honestly prefer this new windtrace since it depends on how good the hunter will "hunt" and how rebels will prioritize the machine thing. Previous windtrace has become boring and dull for me as it became too easy for the rebels to hide or clip through things in the environment. At least hunters has more chance to win this time compared to before since it was easier to win as rebels

I have experienced as both Hunter and Rebel. In the version, I'd say being Hunter here is definitely far easier to win while I have a harder time winning as Rebels. I usually lost as rebel because I was unable to fix all devices in time while the rest of my team was eliminated.

Simply said, for the hunter, you need to get used to watch the new terrain and rebels movements While Rebels, need teamwork and coordinated to confuse the hunter

This gamemode is so buggy af esp on rebels. I did have my fun but theres a lack of additional incentive in the rebels side. They got rid off the ghosts can mess with the hunter thing or whatever.

Tbh I dont think its hard for the rebels to win. Sometimes in a split second 3/4 signaling things can be done fast without the hunter knowing so its more fair.

There seems to be a lot of people commenting who dislike the event, but I actually really like it! Yes, I've found that it is much easier for the hunter to win, but I've won a few times as a rebel too. You just need decent teammates, and a hunter who doesn't know every object in the map. Tips for the rebels: - The maps are just big enough that, if the rebels are spread out, it can be difficult for the hunter to run from place to place. If you fix one of the machines while the hunter is on the other side of the map, you have a decent amount of time before he can get to you. - Watch the minimap for the hunter's location and flee BEFORE he arrives. It can be difficult to lose a hunter who has already seen you. Use invisibility to get a short distance away and then transform into an object. If the hunter doesn't happen to know the layout of the map super well, you will be very difficult to find this way. I've found the bushes around the Dawn Winery map to be especially helpful for hiding in, particularly since you can transform into small chairs or lanterns. - Get the favour if you can. Chances are, it will spawn closer to a rebel than the hunter. For myself, considering I'm new to Windtrace and I don't know the maps very well, playing the hunter against unskilled rebels is a walk in the park. Playing against skilled rebels is actually pretty challenging.

Actually, you know what, now that I've been playing more and the rebels have just won four times in a row, I'm reconsidering if it really is easier to win as a hunter. I think, if it is a case of bad hunter vs bad rebels, the hunter has the advantage. If it is a skilled hunter against skilled rebels, the rebels have the advantage.

As a veteran Windtrace player, I've found that it's not too hard to win as a rebel with proper teammates, hiding strategy, and depending on the map. I find that the dawn winery is the hardest because the devices are all on flat ground, while the other two maps, the devices are on higher ground.

​@@ayasinx8797 Interesting, I found dawn winery to be a reasonably easy map to win as a rebel because of its large size. I would say it's maybe 2nd or 3rd easiest out of the four, the hilichurl camp being the easiest. The ruins is by far the hardest map, in my opinion. It just feels so tiny!

The new windtrace event is not even hide and seek anymore. The hunter is just overly powerfull and has no stamina limit. Literally EFFORTLESS winning as hunter, any game. In the OLD version the game would ACTUALLY challegenge the players seeking & hiding skills against themselves.

Honestly, I dislike this event lol. I didn't like it last time and with the new changes it just became worse lol. Like, I did not think it was possible for me to dislike an event more than I already did. The primogems are the only draw but otherwise I find this event tiresome and anxiety inducing in every way. I would rather chip away at a giant boss or something than this lol.

Worst windtracer of all time my goodness this one sucks.

I already hated regular windtrace but I feel like this one is so much worse. It's such a small map and all the machines are out in the open so rebels are easily seen as soon as they start repairing one and it also notifies the hunter. It's impossible to win as a rebel if there's is only one person left because the hunter can easily use their skill to find them and you can't win as a rebel unless all the machines are repaired. If they want to keep this concept they should atleast increase the amount of players allowed per round or remove all the power ups the hunter can get. It's already extremely easy for them to win without them

You need to relocate when you see that hunter is aproaching you (when the mechanism notifies the hunter), and at least 2 rebels should do it at the together at different mechanisms. Its actually much easier to win as rebel
