@@NecrosVideos Me too. Most of the super mario ragdolls are completely gone. I believe they are the ones SMG4 uses too. Someone described it as a troll that Steam refuses to bother. But, a troll can be funny. This is just disrespectful.

PROS: Gmod finally has the Portal NPCs! The crosshair thing is pretty neat. The server tab’s pretty useful. CONS: Lots of addons got broken. It may be one con, but it’s a pretty huge one. If anyone has any other pros or cons, please let me know.

its because your cache isin't clear, it will register them in offline mode aswell

When I first noticed it I thought it was just something about a map I was playing on then I guess I must've just gaslit myself in to thinking it was always like that and forgot about the original one.

hello! one of addon devs here. Main branch (default) is a mess in many ways, due to many changes that are not well tested on beta branches. I'm using x64 branch since its well optimized and coding is more rich. However... Many updates broke A LOTTTT stuff there, biggest issue were path followers (system that Nextbots uses to navigate and move around map), some basic functions were broken and unusable, some code functions were broken and caused a lot of issues in addons.

I experienced this with an addon myself and had to switch back to normal GMOD for an NPC addon I was subscribed to work

​@@SATOTEHDOOD unless you have a server or a gamemode that relies on a specific addon (which for a gamemode, you should more code things yourself than rely only on addons), it's recommended to disable all addons/mods when a game updates. This is literally common for ALL games.

ive been having some of the same issues, when i did the update all my addons had been uninstalled (all 602 of them), but after verifying the game file integrity, also the pause menu is gone for me

Yeah, after the update though, literally ALL of my addons were disabled. Buy, they did work when I enabled them but I’ve been getting crappy errors ever since. GMods code NEEDS that backwards compatible. (For workshop stuff obviously)

I don't think that's possible, only possible way would be to allow users to switch to previous versions of Gmod kinda like dev-branches

Hopping back onto GMOD after doing a fresh install and thought it was just windows 11 causing it. Didn’t realize the update broke so many things.

The update made my game completely break, everytime i try to use a weapon, custom playermodel or try to spawn an npc, it just crashes my game with some vertex buffer size error message

Nah, i didn't pirate it, it's an error that shows up when the model of a certain addon has more vertexes than the limit i'm guessing@@Bandit74100

This is just great. I hope no old discontinued Addons are broken.

There's some more sad stuff going on with this update that I noticed: Portal turret NPCs don't actually work. They don't attack neither friendly nor enemy NPCs and they just.. Act kinda like props. They don't react even when you knock them over. Moreover, the targeting laser for rocket turret is kinda not there? You know, the blue beam thing that it targets you with in actual Portal whenever you meet it. I dunno if any of the addons I have installed could possibly affect this but it is honestly just a little bit sad.

@@aynersolderingworks7009I will just attempt full reinstall of both Gmod and Portal first before trying to look through which of my 253 addons might be of issue. You gotta do what you gotta do but I appreciate any words of help like that.

Gmod is not a bad game. The only problem is when a new update comes out and many add-ons disappear because they don't match.

The WORKSHOP has also being tweaking a bit recently some addons have lost their portraits and screenshots god dammit, i hope i don't need to fix my addons.

I had a weird problem after the update, idk which addon is causing it but when my playermodel ragdolls or die, the ragdoll stays in the same place and i cant remove it with the undo button or the clean everything, i had too manually remove it by clicking it on it, and some arc weapons attachment and blood mods broke too

Oh, thats why my gmod is so glitchy. Noticed a lot of material and texture addons being the error texture and weird invisibility problems when I die. Hope they patch these problems soon...

Check under utilities on the toolgun tab of the spawnmenu and look under the admin options. All of the options in the keep corpses, ignore players, etc menu are in there.

it's like they can't just not touch anything related to addons to not break erything for once. It's so annoying. They're killing the game because a lot of good addons without support will just be forever broken

every single one of my addons do not work anymore not even my playermodels ever since the game updated a few days ago and they won't work so pretty much i have the plain base game without anything working

Some maps (like gm_mallparking) are broken too. Though, mallparking is admittedly just some texture glitches, small collision breaks, and lag spikes when looking in certain directions.

1:40 if you are having these kind of issues and you dont want to keep opening and closing gmod just to see what addons you lost, theres a small "solution" for that while someone finds a real way to fix that: go to the workshop, in suscribed articles, and theres must be a button in the right that let you save all your addons into a collection, then it will let you select between to a new collection or one that is already made, select one of those buttons (i suggest to make a new one since is more easy) and when is already created or the addons already added, just click in "suscribe all" and "only add" and then launch the game. and when opening the game it will start like normal whit all your addons.

It's got to do with how everything ages, like games, they can become unplayable as updates are rolled out.

I've check to see if my addons were there and they are there so I'm good. No addon hasn't been unsubscribed and no errors ether. Also years ago in February 2016 I had a problem with that one update where I can here the sounds of my crowbar and guns shooting but it's been fix since I installed Counter Strike Source and the sounds are back.

ive also experienced the random un-installing

The laggy effect for your screen in the effect screen section turns off your menu and doesn’t appear until you remove the effect

one of the worst issues with this update i have is that some addons put a message in chat saying something like “Addon Name is available on this server” and it’s SO annoying. Can’t do anything either

I remember back in the old days when it was common for updates to break addons. Pre-Garry's Mod 13 you needed to also keep most bigger addons up to date separately too. Sometimes they'd survive and update, but it was best practice to use the SVN releases all the time.

most of those old toybox stuff got ported over anyways, also love your old models and stuff man, been using your addons since i was a teenager most other games still operate in this manner, GTA V is a MESS when a update hits, gta iv and some other games were pretty brutal on mods, im glad gmod 13 has been kept consistent for a while though

I've had a non working main menu for months and months. I use some like, lua replacement menu that's actually kinda nice, though. I think it has something to do with the chromium stuff I dunno. I think it worked for a while longer in the 32 bit version but it broke there too. All the ingame menus work at least though.

my mods like when I close it and open it well my mods reinstall but only the ending part but it fixes itself but still happens everytime i close out gmod

GMOD is very different, those other games don't rely on mods entirely like gmod does (games like zomboid, minecraft, teardown)

i dont think ive had issues so far

It took me about 1 minute to crash GMOD into a wall. The Framerate slider was the cause.

I mean like this Update made my friend see black text when we typed un chat and i thought it was a mod but like 10 Problems and like it was so werid

Hey, I was wondering if anyone knows a mod that completes weapon textures? Basically I like playing in vr, but since gmod is so old, it uses an old trick that only renders the part of the gun you can see on normal gmod. So in vr... guns just look cut in half. If anyone knows a mod to remedy that issue it would be greatly appreciated! (I've searched on the steam workshop but didn't find anything.)

it's impossible. It's not just the textures that are missing, it's the entire chunk of the model. Best you can do is install some model replacements and hope that they don't do this

A lot of the problems that I have is it one I won't stop dying two a lot of my characters have spaghetti legs and three why the hell is my screen go black sometimes

If you die in noclip mode then even in not noclipping state your character gets broken and you noclip anyways but cant fly just slightly its annoying I cant even move because of it Or atleast for me this happened, maybe its just me

I have bought gmod. But i use cracked version with no more updates. Its because of the mods. I have like 80+ addons and many are connected so one error and its messed up.

For me the addons are not straight up unsubscribed, but in the problems menu sometimes I might find a message saying there are unused GMA files and I need to click on the quick fix button and reopen G-Mod.

The spray was “sus” becuase HENTAI 💀🔫
