I really wish that was the cutoff for LEL now. 700. Any higher than that and it’s just boring until it’s proper high elo. 700 and lower and there’s just fun stuff happening because no one knows better

@@serban031 i disagree, i think 700-1000 is the sweetspot. Any lower and the players just dont know basics, and its more frustrating then entertaining. we end up sitting there talking about non-aoe stuff while watching people bad eco and people lose their armies to TCs for 40 minutes.

@@nathanfranks1476 to each there own. I love 700 and below for those exact reasons you just stated, I laugh a lot! But I also learn the most from 700-1000. I find them both to be entertaining

So this fight boiled down to a variety army vs a blacksmith techless army, the two low elo unit compositions.

I love the LEL mindset as far as getting in to the spirit of the game, realistic looking bases, large armies, really diverse in every age...It feels like experiencing the game the way it was meant to be. Also, I'm just going to say it, I prefer regular trees. Not to sacrifice the competition but I want the immersion too. Anyone else?

I’m cool with small trees, but totally agree on the rest!!! =) I absolutely love high level play and will watch entire tournaments, but watching LELs is definitely a cool experience too.

I really like small trees...The original trees are just too immersive for 2d game - hard to build anything near treelines and covering lot of view.

Yup this is pretty much how the devs envisioned AoEII to be played as. Looking at all their old trailers, the army comp was very similar to this.

That is also how historical armies looked like. You needed a bit of everything to counter their own everything. And even if you wanted to specialize, you were dependant on what your reinforcement were proficient at.

Funny story about Gatorland. Apparently when I was a young child, our family went to visit Gatorland for vacation. I don’t know if they sell gator nuggets or other foods made from gators, but apparently I got a bit too enthusiastic with my meal and ended up severely biting my finger. No appendages were lost, but I still have a small scar.

Low Eco legends

I research heated shot because it's a button and I have to press it. Gotta get that research count up for the end game screen. I don't do it because it's useful. Also I'm pretty sure it used to affect camels back when they shared an armour type with ships.

yes, it used to affect camels because ships and camels used to share an armor class. They changed that a long time ago though.

I went to Gatorland in 2016 and I watched the gator show. One of the wranglers slipped fell into the water where they had corralled more than two dozen gators for the show. There was one other wrangler who then proceeded to throw all of the chicken he had into the water hoping to catch the attention of the gators, so there wouldn’t be a casualty that day at Gatorland. The wrangler who had fallen in quickly pulled himself out and the look on his face was priceless. Go to Gatorland.

I love gator land, its right near my house and no they dont get steroids 😂 Gators and crocs actually grow in proportion to the habitat they live in as well as the prey they can munch on which is why salt water crocs are so massive being that they literally inhabit the open sea amongst coastal rivers and wetlands.

So when are we getting a tournament to determine the ultimate low ELO legend?

this game reminds me of a game I had as teutons where I didnt know what I was doing but ended up harvesting all of the wood within the enemies sight so he resigned, I was 100% the worse player and lost many engagements but I expanded like red did and we both had to sell wood for everything

Blues reaction time is 2x slower then mine when I’m stoned out of my mind smh 😂😂😂

I'm from Orlando, that intro had my sides in orbit. Gatorland is pretty cool and once you live here long enough you forget that it's weird until someone points it out to you lmao

This was actually a good game, lots of military from both red and blue, the variety from Red was so good. Also attacking at multiple points at same time, blacksmith upgrades, and overall macro was good. Gatorade story of T90 was funny too. gg wp LEL!

Steroid Gator sounds like a natural sequel to Cocaine Bear.

i started out brand new on this game and went on a massive loosing streak then once i got the basics down, thanks to you, i climbed to 800 rating so maybe that's whats going on here

This truly is the most entertaining elo. Pro play is so resident sleeper compared to these bangers.

I lived next to gator land in college. Couldn’t tell if it was gator heaven or gator hell, but the place was a meme for sure 😂

Now I can imagine an AoE2 mod that has "ziplines" or warp gate kind of deal that has travels between two set points on the map, though there's a limit to how many units can go through at a time.

I dont think ive ever seen a lel battle between a "turtle up my starting area" and a "slowly expand across the map" where the turtle won.

Gatorland mentioned! That was the best part of my trip to Florida as a 10 year old from the UK. What a place.

I love playing as Byzantines cause it's the same response every time. Halbs vs Cav Skirms vs Archers/Ranged Light Cav vs Siege & Priests (It's cause they are cheap) Cataphracts to hit that opening and nuke the TC. Siege for buildings. Then just use the Imperial guard Strat from 40K. Build unit producing buildings (Barracks & Archer Range) close to front line and then spam.

I wish you had a separate series for sub-500 ELO. I always enjoy watching people that don't know how to play try to figure it out. 500 elo is full of people that know hotkeys and build orders these days.

There needs to be some low ELO legends game where a player refuses to resign and makes the other player kill every single one of their units and buildings and chase them around the map.

I like low ELO legends, too, but I wish T90 would use a better small trees mod for streaming.

I think the one thing T90 isn't stating and might not think of very often, is that if they are this elo, they might not have learned about game decorum and they might not watch games on twitch or KZread. They might just play randomly, and none of their opponents have talked to them through the games and explained it.

Rare for me to comment, but here I have to! 1) Greenday is great and that album is a masterpiece 2) Weird Al is a genuis 3) I learned today that he covered "American Idiot" and had to pause the video to check it out :D

I really like the part of the video where you missed a battle for the castle, went back to watch said battle, but then panned over to rewatch the battle that you already watched which caused you to miss the battle for the castle in the first place..................

This was a good game, red won the game but blue won my heart

I play similarly to how blue plays My best civ is celts And my elo is 977

I was quite frustrated by red's clueless military play. Attacking an enemy who has almost no archers with an army of skirmishers, putting the siege in front of the main attack force, attacking castles with infantry, cavalry with scorpions... However, the multi-pronged attacks were sick and the eco and map control won him the game. If he learns how to create an effective army, he will become a dangerous player.

Blue could've won the game multiple times, but staying on defense the whole game was the thing that made him lose at the end.

Jesus it just hurts when they go in and like all units die for nothing... I get that they are low ELO and I probably would suck too, but goddamn you build a castle, see that the opponent has a ton of trebs there and you do nothing about it, so it means you wasted 600+ stone for nothing and like 20 units also for nothing, why?
