Favorite breakfast food: frosted flakes! Nice! But seriously, awesome cover, excellent analysis, breakdown and explanation. Marwan adding additional information and insight about techniques used makes it even more enjoyable to listen to again. Can not wait for the next song and your reaction and analysis. And see, some people do watch the whole thing, intro and outro included. And if you keep breaking, Mason will need a raise for still making you look good!

I am loving this series with the arrangers on these new Bass Gang releases. :) The back and forth between the two of you is great- so many details that I never would have noticed. Keep up the great work!

The technique that Jonathon uses is throatbass, which is created via the vibration of both the vocal cords and the false vocals, and the false vocals naturally vibrate at a frequency an octave below, creating the "subharmonic-ish" sound.

I love it. This is an amazing cover, and I'm so happy to see your reaction to it, Mortius. And thank you Marwan for joining in for it! One thing I have to say, Mortius, is that you desperately need more Jonathan Young in your life. Like, no joke. I've been following him for YEARS now, and I love his work so much. His covers are, of course, amazing (as much as he's described them openly as just clickbait to get views), but I also really love his original work. I'm so sad that he took down one of his old original songs (The Beat), but I do really love his recent work. I'm particularly partial to his song Land of the Living. But, some of his covers that I recommend would be Misty Mountains, In the Dark of the Night, and Toxic Love (Yes, Anastasia and Fern Gully @_@ but trust me). Heck, his cover of For the Dancing and the Dreaming from How to Train Your Dragon 2 just... wrecks me every time!

I'm glad he took you back to listen to that whistle. I swear there's only 1 or 2 people I've watched who actually gave it the attention it deserved.
