TLDR Druid Still Bad. Longer explanation: Are these changes some nice quality of life? Sure. Will they drastically bump up Druid in pit clear tiers? definitely not. Druid is behind in terms of top pit pushing builds but most of the top top builds right now are benefitting from bugged damage interactions. I don’t think the game should be balanced around those though. It really sucks that they took away blurred beast but left all the other classes double dip mults in tact (shatter, victimize, berserk ripping etc.) they aren’t gonna add a random double dip mult to Druid mid season. Uncapped earthen devastation is an easy buff imo. However it would make the most sense if they got rid of one double dip mult to get rid of all of them. The game shouldn’t be balanced around pit 150. Does the druid need buffs? yes and it deserves better than the ones we got here, but without some ridiculous change its not going to go from doing millions to billions and that just doesn't seem like a realistic spot to expect balance to be. Just my opinion.

Everyone is saying un cap this or that... cool but what will the other builds do? We need a universal buff like old Grizzly Rage aspect or something similar. Something every druid build can use is the goal. These all eggs into 1 basket builds will be the downfall of every class. IE flame shield will def be nerfd next szn. Then what's sorc got? If they nerf Vuln rogues fkd.... if they nerf bleeds again barbs fkd... yea we need 2 builds minimum per class that competes at endgame level. And we def don't got it so... season 6 everyone will be Spirit Born. 💯

Why not say all this in the video then? You and other youtubers are making this out to be great changes all around. Who cares about an extra 5% crit chance or 5% attack speed when you can get that easily now with masterworks and GAs.. The base problem is the few builds druids have that can do some Dmg ie. storm/wolf builds lack survivability. The builds that have survivability have no dmg. Druid as a whole needs rework on Dmg scaling, Unique's, aspects, paragon everything. I get it as a content creator your gonna make content and titles that are gonna get people to watch and interact with your videos. But as a build guide maker for Druids on one of the largest D4 build guide websites you shouldn't be praising these changes like they are amazing when they aren't. You should have called them out in the video and not just in an edited post 2 Hrs after video post when you realized nobody in the comments thought of the "buffs" as good as you did. just my opinion

Goblin Inc said it best for Druid: 0x0=0 1000 useless changes are less than 1 viable noteworthy change. 25% boost to dog water rabies damage is still dookie central. Someone who plays Druid needs to be in charge of the changes because it’s funny at this stage.

Nah I agree. I’ve now played a barb and rogue this season and it’s night and day difference in how easy it is for those classes to push into pit with hardly any gear. The top top builds are doing so with multi dip damage shenanigans. Realistically they aren’t just gonna add a new bugged multiplier for Druid mid season. We had that with blurred but it got completely removed. A lot of these other classes damage dip mults have existed for a long time but they never got addressed. Shatter on sorc was meta for AoZ, low and behold it’s nuts for high pit now. I’m curious if they will address these things for next season (shatter, victimize, berserk ripping etc).

These changes aren’t going to make the Druid feel really any different. The Druid is still going to suck. It was like the devs decided to increase numbers without doing any testing to see how these changes are actually going to feel. Big L for the Druid.

I appreciate your smiling and enthusiasm while trying to polish this turd. This patch and Druid balance in general is absurd. This patch is quite clearly a product of a spreadsheet and someone who doesn't play the class.

Sorry, but Druid still needs a lot more than just a pulverize buff. Even its' best builds, tornado and wind shear are 20+ levels behind the other classes in the pit. If anything, they nerfed the druid by removing the Shepard's bug.

@@jumpjack15 I'm not so sure. Wind shear doesn't scale much from skill levels. The andariels rogue build relies on it entirely and is currently around t120. The +dmg affix is double dipping, counting as both +dot dmg and +dmg. This synergizes beautifully with wind shear. Add in the 50% andy buff and druid tankiness. idk i'll try it out next week =P

Really everyone Run Pit 120? I did with my druid Pit 103 Hurricane build.

The reason they buffed WW Dust Devil aspect and not the others, is that the others create TWO dust devils each proc, while WW only spawns ONE tornado. So, this is actually good, as we get half as many tornadoes from this aspect (say, compared to the 2 tornadoes from the devilish aspect or the double swing DD aspect), but now they do 2x more damage, giving this aspect -- FINALLY -- parity/equality with the other DD aspects. This is a little-known fact that the WW DD aspect only generates ONE tornado baseline (unless your chance to cast twice temper procs). The WW Dust Devil aspect tooltip would be MORE ACCURATE *IF* they changed it to say "Whirlwind spawns A dust devil" or "1 dust devil" -- because right now the wording just says "Whirlwind spawns dust devils" which uses plural language, making the reader THINK it must spawn multiple. But no. It only spawns one per tick of WW, not two like the other DD aspects (the shout aspect spawns THREE lol). WW DD Aspect needed some love. Now it's equal with the others.

Started as a druid because i like the class fantasy but after leveling a barb it's really hard to go back at the moment...Hope the next season will be better for druids

Druid needs uncapped earthen deviation and for them to make earthbreaker work for both on and off bar cases of landslide. Boulder needs some love and to do knock down instead of knock back

Pulverize build next?? My pure bear build is insane at one shotting entire screens of elites, it just needs some kind of pit boss killing strat

Don't think they scale with the paragonboard glyph. Wolfs if you use the ledendary imprint which switch them to Wearwolfs should benefit from envenom i guess

I might have to make another druid just to play pulverize on but been having a lot of fun on wind shear and don't want to have to reset my build or farm different gear

My buddy got andario's like week two and put it on his druid and he was royaling a poison trample and it was pretty nut just running around just as a bear just tramping over shit.

Dust devil 100%. Yes, it was pretty good, but still B tier. Glad to see lots of buffs for the classes and specs that were falling behind and not just nerfing others to bring them down!

Anyone else feel like overpower is glitched for druid ? I'm on my hurricane build and when I stack that skill to overpower after 12 seconds it's not over powering much. It's much less after this update.

I'm just trying to keep my new Doggo from feeling inadequate while surrounded by four hulking werewolves. Feels like a meme is about to happen, lol.

I really think about a rabies/claw poison Druid with the new Andy. I think the rabies spread procing Andy all the way could be working

Sadly these buffs really do nothing for the underperforming builds. Some got a tiny bit better, but this patch was really almost a nothing burger lol.

Pit feels much easier , using druid Hurricane build and I love it, the Wind Sheer was fun for a bit and did damage but it was so boring. Looking forward to an update druid tier list especially if pulverizer can have more potential.

They just gotta completely axe Shepherd's in terms of boosting core/wrath skills. Just like its name Shepherd make it so it only affects Companions by a huge amount and either buff the core/wrath skills a crap ton or rework different aspects. Also buff the fuck outta earth in some way would be cool to be an earth bender that doesn't feel clunky or is meh.

Glad good ole Pulverize got buffed because it was under powered compared to previous seasons.

I feel like blizzard’s thoughts for Druid changes here were: How can we make the majority of the Druid players (which are players who don’t do pit as anyone who does high tier pits don’t play Druids) happy with the least amount of effort? Buff pulverize!! Yes pulv feels amazing lvling and even up to teir 80 pit or so, so players may feel as if they are strong… what they don’t realise is that while these buffs are significant for pulv they will do nothing to actually push past t100… these Druid buffs are very lacking man.. they are telling Druids that if you like to push pit. Don’t play Druid

@@93Tommatthews Like Moxsy mentioned though, it's not that you couldn't clear trash easily, it was when you got into boss fights that it really struggles to compete. I will hold out hope though. My first two builds for season 4 were Sorc and Druid, both are fun, but underperforming in comparison to the other three classes. Druid looks like it got some buffs to help, but Sorc looks like it got left in the dust which kinda sucks

It will be 76% stronger, considering Druids are 2 or 3 orders of magnitude behind the others classes in terms of damage, that buff will not move the needle much.

Its very clear that they dont play druid and have zero idea how it works and by spreading bunch of % numbers on some skills somehow they think its gonna resolve the issues. These devs clearly have no idea. This whole patch is useless.

Nothing but damage for the Barb, and what does the druid get? Oh woooow more rabies damage. Oh woooow, 5% increase to skills that no one uses bc it would take a 1000x increase to be viable. These spirit boons do nothing for what druid needs most....damage. if we dont get damage then move speed, attack speed, 5% more crit chance still does not get our damage anywhere close to the top classes. Its honestly insulting. Earth based/overpower builds are still not going to be viable since we cant force overpower. Its a timer. And earth builds cannot dip into thunderstruck. Pulverize is still going to suck man. Compared to the damage of bard, rogue, and necro.

Visage is buffed??!! It’s already pretty strong on my rogue. This could be one of the better builds in the game now.. would love to see it incorporated into Druid though.

@@Moxsy By my calculations an aspect that gives +500%[x] unconditional damage might be enough to bring us in line with the worst Bash Barb out there. Jokes aside (hopefully, most people will realize the obvious /s) boosting the boons is fine, but we probably need to x4-5 the effects of the boons to have them even remotely matter. Some skills have tempers that are just a trolling attempt from Blizzard. That damage boost to Pulverize is fine and all, but the f**k am I going to do with a size increase temper? Shepherd? Just remove it and boost some other aspects by 50-60% to compensate. They can't really do awful lot of mechanical changes for a mid-season patch, but they for sure can bump up those numbers by a lot more than +6%[x] life...

@@Moxsy Don’t get me wrong, the game feels a lot better with loot reborn but druid Is being pigeon hold at the moment, forced to run Shepard’s aspect to do any meaningful damage. All the buffs are welcomed but it’s nowhere near what druids needs to even get close pit 130 maybe wind shear has a chance now maybe. Druid has no real flexibility when it comes to aspects at the moment. Example: you want bear to be earth why not make an aspect that says pulverize and trample is now earth skill. Make a unique for late game then you can swap out 2 aspects for 1 unique. lol I don’t know anymore I’m just rambling now.😅 Pulverize is awesome at levelling but we all know it lacks single target damage needed in the pit. Overpower was nerfed and is not consistent at the moment. They could give back some over power damage in the paragon board, not sure where on the board though. I mean they gave barbs last season a 900% straight damage buff to charge. I’m not even asking for that; I mean look at rabies it needs at least 75% to 100% buff. I don’t want to go on for ever but sigh😭, we will see come patch day maybe we are surprised and druid feels good to play again. I only play druid and I love druid just makes me sad that I can’t also run top pits that all.🙃
