I finally saw it! So hilariously bad haha, just utter garbage. But still infinitely more enjoyable than this crap being shoved down our throats nowadays. It's like they've forgotten that the story is supposed to come first, followed by entertainment. These people are so obsessed with pushing messaging we've all grown so tired of over the past decade that they've forgotten how to actually tell a story, much less how to genuinely entertain the audience.

5 out of 10 is very generous. Just like gentlemen used to remove their gloves to gently slap another gentleman’s face when a Hulk Smash fist to the face is more appropriate.

I also watched the first two episodes and I was done, I just couldn’t keep watching. And that’s a lot coming from me as a huge SW fan who grew up watching the original movies in the 80s

CPO is one of R2's counterparts. (R2 also gets so familiar with Luke's X-wing that they achieve counterpart status as well.) But all that means is that they simply communicate faster and more clearly with each other than they do with other droids and computers.

R2 and the xwing computer developed an encryption which allowed for faster communication, this was done by R2 using the xwings systems. The only examples of this I'm familiar with in Star Wars cannon involve a droid and a non sentient computer R2 and c3po never got into each others OS

A true Star Wars fan would know that the people of the Galactic Republic did not see the Jedi as aggressive and militant. They viewed the Jedi as corrupt (which was true to a point) and gradually developed more animosity towards them as the Clone War continued. These people are not familiar with the established lore and clearly do not care about it; or they are ignoring it because it doesn't fit their ideology.

Well when your director comes out and says the worst part about making her star wars show is having to make it a star wars show because the interferes with the queer melodrama she actually wants to make....you know you're in for a good time

I bunked off school to see the original Star Wars & immediately became a fan. I gave up on the franchise a while ago when tgey started prioritising woje over story - I couldn't even name the various films/series now.

C-3PO is a droid, he doesn't have any relation to being a male or female, because he doesn't have gender. He doesn't need it, because he serves an important role for our heroes and to us as an audience. R2 literally is our storyteller, ask George Lucas. They are relatable because they are who the audience is, first Star Wars movie what is “the” very first characters. Oh right, the droids, they are our introduction to the world, they go around and we learn from them, and then we get to Luke who we follow with our guides and him getting to where he needs to be. The audience is telling Luke he must go off the planet, and let’s explore the galaxy and what it can offer. That is the entire point of the characters. They move the plot for the main character, we are watching through their eyes.

I personally really like the Acolyte so far. Yes, it came be cheesy at times but the characters are great imop, there are significant plot twists and I would love a second season!
