So I Watched Spy X Family Code White For The First Time
Ойын-сауық
I got to see my favourite found family on the big screen and it made me do a smile. Immediately after the screening I went to get lunch and the donut I bought ended up being the freshest batch out the oven. That was a good afternoon.
The description is feeling a little barer than normal with nothing to link to so here's my Letterboxd if you wanna see more of my bad film takes letterboxd.com/Biff_W/

Wish I was one of the moms who had to watch this, zero subtitles, for an AMC special screening
I’m honestly really glad the whole “Wife thinks their husband might be cheating plot was resolved early on since it could’ve become insufferable if dragged out.
Me and my dad were going to this Monday mystery movie thing in regal. I tried to get him into the show before hand but he never watched it but I knew this moving was coming soon. The Monday mystery movie turned out to be this and it got him into the show.
This is one of the few movies I saw in theaters by myself and it was really fun. Your media thread tweet did not prepare me for the lipstick scene holy shit

I saw it by myself in theatres as well. Normally I’d just go see stuff with friends but it was nice to just treat myself to a day out on my own for once. The lipstick scene was peak yeah
I love Spy X Family and I can’t get enough of it. And the movie really enhances my love for the series, which says quite a lot for me since I’m not into anime that much. One of the reasons is because it’s a perfect blend of wholesome, comedy, and action while not being saturated with the several tropes that hinders my enjoyment (Bland self-insert male mc, excessive fan service, etc). Another are the characters and I love them all so far as they all have their quirks and charms in the humor and narrative, especially the central family. My personal favorite is Twilight. He’s by far the most complex and complicated character in the show with his development being the most significant. His morally gray character grants him nuance considering the time period he’s in. And his background, noble motives, and unknowing growing fondness to the family makes him such a sympathetic character. Plus, despite being coolest and the most serious character in the show, I like how he isn’t exempt from the series’ humor. It and his secret soft spot really elevates his endearment. Anyway, great video! I’m really glad you enjoyed the movie and the series too!
I'm interested to see you're covering anime like this. A friend of mine is particularly fond of Spy x Family, and I intend to properly watch it sometime. Side note, if you're a fan of SxF, then I highly recommend that new Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again anime. It might not have any of the over the top action or wacky hijinks that SxF has, but it's a really wholesome and heartwarming slice of anime series that doesn't fall into too many trope traps because the couple has been with each other for decades so any "jealousy" is played for laughs than being from a lack of communication (which I agree with you is a infuriating trope).
I keep telling myself that I should check out Spy x Family but I just keep never getting around to it. Maybe this video will finally get me to actually watch it
This movie will mean a lot to me because it's the first ever anime movie I seen on the big screen. The movie isn't perfect sure but the experience made me a Spy X Family fan and made me want to see more anime movies on the big screen alone. Yor Forger is the best character for me
I was going to watch this movie on a Sunday and it ended up getting cancelled cause my movie theater got continuos blackouts and I thought I was gonna miss it Thankfully my brother and I went to watch it at 11 pm, I’m so happy I got to manage to watch it on the Big Screen it was a great time
this movie is gonna hold a very close place in my heart due to how i ended up seeing it, as i went there with a friend i met in group therapy, the theather we went to being full of other people (which surprised me since i lived with no real other people interested in stuff like anime for the longest time), and even getting pictures taken with two cosplayers that were there (they were cosplaying yor and anya and it was really good) anyways yor can 100% beat goku
Never watched it at all, but I am interested in seeing what you think.
Didn’t know this was an original story and not adapted from the manga. Also it’s pronounced “ooting”. Thanks for the reminder to watch The Holdovers
New Biff Weed video just dropped😎!!!
Lemme hunt down a comment I made somewhere else... Found it: My wife and I watched the whole show just as 'something to do', then went and seen the movie. Both of us are very lukewarm on the show. I liken it to fountain pop, you can't really hate it, there's enough variety to satisfy the masses, it's just very watered down. At the end of the movie I said to her "Simple, fun, beautifully animated, and nothing substantiative happened, exactly what we paid for" (which was nothing, used some Costco package we got for Xmas). The show (and movie) constantly tease the possibility of giving you something more to chew on, but ALWAYS stops right before delivering. It get's a bit frustrating. The concept of the show is more fun than the show itself. The movie takes this to a whole other level. For example, the android soldier exists purely as something for Yor to do. He doesn't represent some deep internal conflict, he's just a thing that exists to die in an absurd way. And they spent soo much on the animation budget on it. Overall the story ('plot') was not good, the individual scenes/ character gags were above average (which I think people confuse with story/plot), and the animation was amazing. Since making that comment, I read the source material. It works MUCH better in comic format, thoroughly enjoyed it and I am enjoying the story so far.
hey arent you the script writer from anime vs cartoon total war
Waiter! More anime reviews please!
But where did you watched it

There is about a minute-long ramble in the video about how I saw it in a cinema screening.
