blast went from the least used element to the meta in one patch. I say thats an even bigger glow up than the hydroid rework.

I was scrolling thru my youtube feed on update day, saw vids crowning blast as the new meta and my mind fucking exploded. My jaws dropped on my feet, my asian eyes widened for the first time ever and I had to slap myself to make sure I wasn't high

@@kabe6927 yup, but the kick its for what i tested, only works best on high firerate weapons, since you can proc the explosion manually so basically if you are building for blast you gotta build to proc it as fast as possible, multishot, status chance and fire rate. i use my boltor prime incarnon and i seen procs of over 8M of blast but mind you i also use the nautilus to group everyone, its a match made in heaven.

"Yo dawg, I heard you like Area of Effect weapons, so I put AOE on your AOE so you can AOE while you AOE! Why yes, I am having a stroke!"

So much more variety with these changes. This won’t change the viral/slash/heat meta. But it’s a dam good alternative.

moddable viral is kinda dead, especially now (well it's been for a long time) with panzer vulpaphyla where you get tenacious bond for 1.2x crit multi and Viral Quills & Panzer Devolution for primer. But now with better mods u can prime for viral using companions and it works much better.

Try this: Galvanized Mods + Blast + Radiation + Toxin + Hunter Munitions + Primary Blight. Thank me later.

Do it with voruna replace her 4th ability with nourish or kulervo's ability and use inodem with blast and electric for melee influence and use amalgam argonak for armor strip

Blast is now a DoT (Damage-Over-Time), just like Slash/Toxin/Heat/Electric. And it will have a bigger blast DoT at the 10th proc, having 5 meters AoE, it is currently best used in weapons with high status chance (because you need to proc as many Blast procs as you possibly can) like Beam weapons: Ex Kuva Nukor, Tenet Cycron, Atomos, Ignis Wraith, Basmu, Tenet Glaxion, Amprex, etc. But you arent needed to just use beam weapons, they are just the easiest way of procing 10 Blast procs. If you use Blast on a Bow for example that wont deal alot of Status procs but a single Blast proc of 200K damage for example, it will have like 1 Blast explosion but it will scale with the first proc Damage and can kill things around, so there is absolutely uses for non-high status weapons.

That is the pet ''Nautilus'' with its main mod ''Cordon'' which groups enemies every 10 seconds. If you pair it with that Bond mod that triggers after you kill 3 enemies with 3 or more statuses it reduces the cooldown of abilities in 2s or so, you will be spamming this CC ability of Nautilus. PRO TIP: He costs 75plat with an Orokin Catalyst installed on the in-game market, will come as cheaper than farming him in Railjack.

Blast + Faction element. Toxin/Magnet for Corpus, Corrosive for Grineer, Heat for Infested
