I have a love-hate relationship with those sections, they are fun, but the character control... damn

Overture, one of the 3 RTS games I've ever found fun! I'll never forget how I discovered that: After beating the campaign and thinking "All right, that was fairly cool" I decided to try one practice match of the multiplayer mode. I immediately realized that this was the real game and the campaign was an extended tutorial for it. I quickly got addicted to playing Dr Paradigm, and if I'd had working internet at the time, I would have been in multiplayer mode all the time. Years later, my prayers were answered and it got a Steam rerelease, making it one of the only games I've bought twice.

I watched a good chunk of the video thinking the dialogue was dubbed over for comedic effect. I need to play this game ASAP now.

For sure, Killing my love goes into top 3. I also like Power Two, colors of you, and when the sun goes down.

I think the weirdest thing about the game is that the translation is really bad but the voice acting on itself is actually pretty good. Not going to lie, this game has my favorite Sol voice.

I don't know how's the translation japanese-english, but the english-spanish one is simply horrible (and probably made automatically by some primitive translation software they had back then), but Izuna's voice acting is simply magnificent, so it's all forgiven

@@Ratanuki well, maybe the translation isn’t that bad in hindsight but I think it might end up being confusing with it’s terminology. For example, the GG2, the Universal Will is referred to as the “Merciless Apocalypse” which I am sure might be confusing for some since that name was pretty much completely dropped after GG2. And with Dizzy, they never referred to her by name but that mostly has to do the the legal rights of the Guilty Gear characters (besides Sol, Ky, and any non-playable characters) not being in the hands of ASW at the time and was owned by Sega (Or something like that. I might be miss remembering something) so in that case, it pretty much can’t be helped. GG2 as a game I think is fine. It is pretty overhated I think but I do think it can be a bit rough at times like the enemies taking too long to get up when they are knocked down but my god the soundtrack is godlike. Recoming is still my favorite Sol vs Ky theme of the whole series.

Thanks! But to be honest, editing the conversations of this game is probably the easiest task you can do. Every single line is pure gold. And yeah, i'll try to bring up more parts! Luckily Overture seems like a really long game, so i hope to keep doing this for a while

I also played Overture recently... The game have a intersting concept, the story was ok but playing for 30 mins to pass 1 level... I dunno the game is really slow. But i liked it!

Maybe is one of those japanese concepts that don't fit really well in the west. I also felt it kinda slow sometimes (mostly because enemies stay in the ground for a really, REALLY long time), but by now i'm really liking it. It feels like it could perfectly be my childhood game

Overture soundtrack is so goated, second only to Xrd

I had to drop difficulty on the Raven fight because the slow effect didnt get removed when the slowfield was destroyed and it stacked until I was playing Sol Snailguy

I'm working on it, and there's already a second part, but I'm taking it easy because Overture's missions are extremely long and sometimes unreasonably hard. And well, I don't really have much time currently, so looking for a good moment to record is harder than making the video itself

For Ideas on stuff to do how about recording yourself learning a full high damage tether combo or the corner bnb for baiken and by lern I mean do it five times in a row. You could probably make that into a funny video just because of how frustrating it is to learn and make a new combo constant. And if that is too hard just do the cs bnb five times in a row. Harder then it looks
