In my opinion people give this game too much shit. Ofc it’s not gonna be as good as BT3 it was the FIRST game in the series what did you expect ? And for what it’s worth it was a damn good game for it’s time.

Classic games I miss them

My first Tenkaichi game was 2 & I fell in love ever. Tenkaichi 3 was the pinnacle game obviously. Tenkaichi 1 grew on me very fun to play. Hope to see videos on the other 2 if you're planning on it.

It may have fallen short compared to the later games in the series but BT1 did set the foundation for the series and at the time it came out the gameplay wasn't terrible, plus it gives me a sense of nostalgia everytime I play it.

Man this game was mind blowing at the time. When DBZ exploded only a few years earlier with the best game being Final Bout, then here we were post-Budokai with a fully 3D game. It happened fast in retrospect.

Gonna be honest, it feels like this game is really misunderstood. Tenkaichi 1 focusses on defense. Tenkaichi 2 focusses on movement. Tenkaichi 3 focusses on combos. This game is slow, you're supposed to think and trick the enemy with smart placed Ki Blasts, jumps, cancels etc, not spam any weird combo or try to dash around the place. If you actually try to do long, flashy combos in this game of course you'll be disappointed when it doesn't work. Playing any tenkaichi like the other is not a good idea. Even though I mainly play T2, this game is really fun once you get the hang of it and, even if it has it's problems, is still a great start for the Tenkaichi triology.

I would love to see tenkaichi 3 with mods also keep up the great work

I really loved this game, growing up as a kid, I remember this came out and I bought it off the bat, man, this game brought me awesome and rage memories, this game even made me rage so hard that I broke my ps2 controller 😂😂😂😂😂😂 And don’t forget the challenges you have to do to proceed the stories, man good times with this game 🎮🎮😂😎

The story mode really challenged the player. Something you wouldn't see on bt3

You should play Older DBZ Games online it would be cool for videos.

I'm sure everyone would be having a great time if this game could be in current consoles and be able to play it online. Far superior than Xenoverse gameplay wise imo. It's basic, but it works. And BT2/3 are even better. You actually need to have your Ki at max (at least in 2 and 3) if you wanna use all of the combos and vanishes. And the timing is a key factor to end with your opponent's combo by vanishing at the right time, which even works with ultimates and supers as well.

Budokai tenkaichi 3 is definitely way more complicated than xenoverse 2

IMO this was the best game technique indicators along with charging was so nice

To knock away ki blasts, hold down O, then continuously shake the left joystick from left to right. This only works if ki blasts are coming your way. This works for all tenkaichi games.

I agree, i skipped budokai tenkaichi 2 and went straight to 3. Both games were peak but I feel like tenkaichi 1 was the best even if I didn’t experience all of them exactly

Some of the mods for BT3 are pretty up to date, I wouldn’t mind seeing the tenkaichi games BT2 was my second DBZ game and played it until it didn’t work anymore 😂

I SWEAR TO GOD. I PLAYED THIS GAME WHEN I WAS 5-6 Y/O. It was released in 2005. NOW ITS BLOODLY 2022 AND TO ME IT IS THE BEST GAME ON ANY CONSOLE TO EVER EXIST.

Cant really blame it. It was the first game like this. Pretty good for its time. Still at least solid 7 out of 10

This game has the best dragon rush it's so impactful compared to the two games after and raging blast.

In tenkaichi 2, tenkaichi 3, and tenkaichi tag team, you charge the kamehameha. The characters would be in the same position, but you charge it. The camera dosen't zoom in on the front of the character.

I'm more of a Vegeta kinda guy over Goku. I think it's because I like the underdog, but it's also a thing where Goku does things first, but Vegeta does it with badass style. I mean, when he first went Super Saiyan against #19, when he went Super Saiyan God against Broly, and the list (probably) goes on.

Watching in 2020, the first Tenkaichi is the best hands down. I spent countless hours playing this as a young child, hell, I was 4 years old when the first Budokai game first came out. I've been stuck to DBZ games all my life, I'll be 22 this October. I feel old as hell watching this.

Care to explain why? Im really curious. Tenkaichi 2 and 3 are objectively speaking much better games. With 3 having the most refined combat system out of the 3. I cant see how you would play tenkaichi 1, then tenkaichi 3 and say "yep... 1 is better"

@@wingedassassin9999 You are correct yes, 1 has more sentimental value to me. I enjoy 2 and 3, but the first was completely different from any other DBZ game that came out at the time. It just had a huge impact and has the most nostalgia when playing. It also has the best intro out of the 3.

All 3 tenkaichi games have this weird character blurr / ghosting when playing on emulator. I went to see if tenkaichi 3 for the wii had that same effect on dolphin and it did not. Odd.
