I came to Paris last year for a Masters and I think the most important thing is to allow yourself to take time to adjust because it will take a while but then it will happen. And for looking for a place my golden tip would be sending your documents in a very organised way, I did a summary of the docs so it was easy to navigate and translations (not official) & the landlady said my organisation was what made her choose me. It’s hard but you can do it !

J'espère que tu t'y plairas, I also moved there on a whim last year and has been living here for the past 10 months, even if the city has been over-romanticised by outsiders, it's still a city that brings a certain feeling to your life, when you take the time to really see it for what it is you start to really appreciate the small things, the smell of rain, the city's lights, the noise, the silence... Très hâte de te suivre dans ton aventure parisienne
