What happened at about 5:50 is that it has been found that Kirby's inhale only checks horizontal position, not vertical position. Speedrunners actually use this to re-grab their fire powerup after using the hammer glitch

I could theoretically see wandering the enemyless version of EX Bridge then climbing back up to be faster if you've already cleared Winter Horns' Waddle Dee quota by the time you've reached Blizzard Bridge you'd just need to fight Twin Wild Edge, no need to fight the other midbosses or do any of the siderooms for Waddle Dees edit: maybe you could just bypass Twin Wild Edge entirely if you can make it down the first stop without running into a bottomless pit hitbox?

the water makes sense actually, as well as collision for geometry close to normal bounds, because projectiles like bombs will actually ignore the invisible walls that block Kirby off.

He'd be able to take you underground(By smashing into the ground like the bug you are), Were a hell-like landsacpe made out of bright pinks and dark blacks, containing different skeletions representing the team of HAL, each decent gets you closer to the equator, which will give you a game over when you die(due to the world ending at that point. then he'd function similar to the lion boss fight, with a twist He WONT allow you to stay in the air(How your able even to do the maneuver, He'd do this by pulling out guns to shoot you down) then you basically be forced to fight him unfairly, as he summons gadgets and waddle soldiers to keep you at bay, firing lasers from his non existent mouth, grappling you from the moon into the planet, and taking out weapons you have used and using it himself(he uses abilities at their current maximum power), I imagine the theme would be of a feeling of high amounts of comedic danger, giving the "you could have just played the challenge but you had to find a way around it?" the comedy being the Devs trying to ignore the fact they could just patch it and be done with it. would definitely be one of those secret boss fights, you would have never know existed unless you explored

I find it interesting that some of the areas out of bounds have collision, like they expect you to explore that part of the area but probably didn't have much ideas of what to add there. Goes to show that HAL puts so much effort in their kirby games especially this one, the game may have been glitched many times for speedruns but it still looks amazing imo.

It's actually extremely common for games to have navmeshed areas well outside the map boundaries, it's also the opposite of effort because the reason this occurs is due to a method to cut corners in development by mass applying navmeshing to environmental textures directly instead of manually mapping it.

@@luckywii8731 you say that but Blowout Blast & Battle Royale were very much experiments to gradually introduce concepts for a 3D Kirby so they could actually know what they were doing. heck, even various articles about Forgotten Land development had them think of minor quality of life things to ease in the 3D experience, so the Hammer/Fire hi-jump glitch is really more of a completely unexpected outlier than an actual "I don't know what I'm doing" thing.

Typically water is a cube with only the top side (The water) being visible, to cover stages with an "ocean" they typically extend that cube so it covers the entire map. Or sometimes the water is just an effect that is applied when the character enters Y height with a texture in the same place. This is all done to make the water simpler for the game and devs.

(Also you acknowledged Commentator Waddle Dee flipping you off with a lack of fingers, yet you didn’t acknowledge the fact he spits on your shoe with the lack of a mouth)

At least I got past that stage, except slippery climb comes right after that stage and I missed I think 3 or 5 boxes back in the bridge level, the high road.

Un-breaking the game by breaking it more is a mood

I just want to say that Failboat thought he had to mash the jump button, he didn’t have to destroy his hands with the dragon fire glitch but he did it anyway!
