    I have discovered that RE motorcycle 's are like Drum kits. You cannot have just one kit. Ask any Drummer! I am sold on the Scram, but the 350 classic military look ride...its like being a kid in a candy store! 121 years and still Rolling! God I love this Ride!

    I once fell off a bike at 15 mph dressed like you, it feckin hurt a lot. I sold a bmw gs1200 and the guy rode 300 miles home in shorts and a hoodie! It is personal choice, but I need all ten fingers to play my guitar ;)

    'Horses for courses'. If you want to ride on the interstate highway for long periods, then you have chosen the wrong bike, but if you want to ride the back woods, back roads, or the desert you could do a lot worse than to choose a Hymalayan. It is also pretty good in city traffic. If you had to build a motorcycle from scratch you very quickly realize that in balancing all the factors you need to consider, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS THE PERFECT MOTORCYCLE. I ride the back country lanes in the Peak District in the U.K and I have no doubt that this is the perfect bike for this job, anything with a lot more power would have killed me off some time ago. Thanks for the vid, and looking forward to seeing more of Kentucky.

    I just bought a 2022 classic 350 and everyone said i was going to want more power, that it won't be practical at 70 mph. Thankfully it is not a necessity, only for fun and i love it. It is so much fun, that is all that matters.

    I rode the Himalayan around all day today and had a blast. It’s my go to bike for under 60mph. I love my Pan America, but sometimes it’s more fun to just thump around town and not worry what anyone thinks.

    I’d waited 3 long years for this bike to hit the USA.. Got a ‘19 BS4 (Sleet) and have 26K (miles) on it. Also got a ‘21 V-Strom XT ADV.. but also find myself grabbing the Himi’s keys most often. Sadly, this bike is history, ‘replaced’ by something I’d definitely pass.. But all the more reason to keep my Himalayan up & running!

    As you say, it's a great little bike. I bought my 2022 Pine Green Himalayan this past January and it definitely has grown on me. It was chosen as the machine I needed to ride on the dirt and gravel mountain and forest roads of Central Pennsylvania and it has been outstanding for that. And it's been good on the highway and will definitely cruise comfortably all day at 60 mph. It's fun to ride and it takes me to a lot of cool places.

    I'm looking at getting a RE Meteor of the Himalayan (leaning towards the Himalayan). I didn't get to test ride but I did actually get to sit on both bikes and they both feel really nice. I'm about the same size as you weight wise and about 4" shorter so I like what your saying about how the Himalayan fits you. Once I get things sorted out more I will do the test ride and hopefully be riding a Royal Enfield.

    I own the meteor and rode the Himalayan. Two completely different bikes. Remarkably the meteors pretty punchy with linear acceleration for the engine size super comfortable laid-back feel On the other hand the Himalayas more upright little more mechanical still very comfortable smooth acceleration once you get rolling. I do like the heel toe shifter on the meteor very convenient and classy

    Funny, I have a black 2021 and I find the seat to be too soft and too low and I am 5'11" with long legs. I am constantly hitting my knees on either the tank bars or the tank cut out ridge. With that said, I still love the bike even though both my wife and I have butt pain after only 15 minutes of riding. And that is saying a lot, as my last two bikes were a ninja 600 and a Gold wing. I am in South America so getting a replacement seat is not nearly as easy as it would be in the states but that is on our wish list.

  • @MandolinMouse

    @MandolinMouse

    They made the tank bars smaller for 2022 here apparently, so that’s saved my knees so far. I’m short legs, long torso too. I can see problems for anyone with long legs or much taller than me.

    So you bought shit. I've owned a couple of Himalayan, the first's chasis cracked. Luckily I wasn't doing fast speeds. We buy this junk because we don't have options. But you guys have nice and reasonably priced options from Honda, their 300 cc single adv or even the 500. Still you go for this literal rustic heavy underpowered unrefined junk in the name of some fictitious "feel" and just because others are going for it. Good for you.
