3:27 Actually the « bug » is just that the 2nd skill won’t register if you go too fast. You have to wait just a little and it will cast consistently. I play Xavier a lot and it happens to me sometimes, but after some time, I got the hang of it. Now I always use this combo, because I stay far a away, taking advantage of the bonus range of the combo. It’s better than using the 2nd skill first because I don’t let the enemies get close, so if I fail at any point it won’t cause me trouble. Another advice I can give you is it seems using 1rst skill before 2nd skill deals more damage, or at least gives you 1 more stack. If you have no stack, you can do this combo on the Turtle or the Lord, and it will give you all 3 stacks, but if you cast 2nd skill before 1rst skill, it will only give you 2 stacks. Maybe it is just a bug on the neutral objectives.

Oh so it's a bug. I thought I was beeing so slow in doing the combo or my phone is lagging. Hope Moontoon fix this soon.

For someone who start using xavier lately here some tip and trick : Always maximize your stack (the one below xavier healthbar) before casting ulti for more dmg ... You can always casting without fully max it to abuse your first skill and second skill There are some way to fully maximize your stack without hitting your opponent like first and second skill to the turtle and lord ...for some reason this also work at enemy's skill/companion like vexana's lord (her ulti) ,sun's clones ,zhask first skill and ulti ,Kupa ( popol dog) and etc I hope this can benefits some player who started playing xavier ;⁠-⁠)

So here's a nutshell to anyone who doesn't know Xav's skills: Passive: Every skill hit on enemies or Turtle/Lord grants Xav 1 stacks. Each stack grants different buff like Increase Movement Spd. (1 stack), Increased Size (2 stack) and Reduced CD (not sure but 3rd stack). At max stacks he enters Transcendence which allows him to spam skills easier for a limited time. Skill 1: Throws a projectile dealing dmg. The range of this skill increases per target hit upto 4 (or 5 idk) times. Skill 2: Summons a wall-like barrier that dmg and slows enemies, and boosting mov spd of yourself and allies walking through it. Extra: Hitting this skill with Ult or Skill 1 transforms it into a circular-like barrier immobilising and damaging any target on it. Ult: Charges for a short duration before launching a fast projectile on the whole map (enemies a d allies can see the direction of the skill before launch). Immediately gains 3 stacks and enter Transcendence

General tips and gameplan of Xavier : - AVOID doing basic atks in teamfights, especially from mid to late game. By that point, Xavier is pretty much the main DPS for his team (outside the MM), so you need to ALWAYS have safe positions in fights by playing at max range as much as possible. - A trick from other experienced Xavier's main, Rushifa (props to them), you can use his ult as a pseudo Balmond's ult to secure turtle and lord in tandem with your team's Retribution. While this one is better for team queue, it's still usable in soloq AS LONG AS you tell your team beforehand (presumably in draft phase) so at least your jungler won't be surprised when you ult the turtle/lord. - Many players might know this already, but turtles and lords also give 1 passive stack for every skill's hit, which can be used to "prep" his skills before a gank or fight. - If you're still not confident with sniping enemies in other lane with ult especially in the early game, just save it for skirmishes instead (whether to open the fight or as finisher). Having said that, it's a must if you want to master him properly since snipe kill is one of his main source of income in the early game. You can make it easier by only use ult at 2+ passive stacks for the bigger AoE at your first few games. - Always remember that Xavier IS a mid-late game hero, so always stay by your roamer's side in the early game. While rushing 1st item ET might be an option for faster timing (low CD for spam + unli mana), his main timing is still COD+LT so focus on getting to that point first before looking for more fights.

Nice play, Xavier's skin is sooo cool :) About 2-1 skin combo problem - it exists even on phone, for example moto g32 has same, but i don't think that 1-2 is more weaker. Bzw i strongly recommend to charge your passive by simple 1-2 to the lord/turt, really usefull, so u can go teamfight charged !

I knew there was a problem! I've seen so many strong Xavier users and been demolished by then, but whenever I try to use him, he feels so sluggish and the 2nd skill doesn't register occasionally even whe trying to escape. i figured out the problem when it doesn't register the 2nd skill. you have to get better ping around 15ms and below would do the trick, i never get errors anymore.

@@dragonlord9957 Usually works for Roles your most comfortable with. I have to work out how to use others, but Fighters are my main, I can use them instinctively.

I used to face the same issue while playing on my tab where the 2nd skill wont register and it costed me games…so I increased the size of 2nd skill and kept others the same just for xavier. It helped greatly

This is coming from the dude who was Monty Oum's original pick for Jaune arc by Monty himself :'( I just couldn't afford to make it out to Texas not abandon certain people at the time 🤕 Monty if still alive would have given moba devs some crazy ideas. Every character in RWBY has a weapon that can attack at close range, long range to a degree and also a sort of recovery method if falls ever happened or climbing was ever needed. Dude was a savant in his character designing and creating unique fighting styles....Masha would have been a killer fit for Yang....obv ruby for ruby rose because moonton flat out stole that from Monty Oum's dead body and rooster teeth, weiss is kinda similar to harith...so that's a bit odd maybe a multi elemental mage is in order(lightning mode for speed, ice mode to slow, fire to umm do fire stuff...what's it called...burn and water mode to slip awayand sneak up from bush to bush skin to kadita but not as strong as she isn't an assassin if you think about it Blake is similar to fanny but also totes guns that become blades and lasso type wraps to fling herself and comrades around. Tigreal could totally have Juane Arc skin. Edith could have a Penny skin, Pyrrha Nikos could def be silvanna, lolita could have a Nora skin, and ling could have a yin Xiao long skin....smite dropped the ball on those but moonton could totally pay to get some of those mentioned RWBY skins in that smite hasn't already gotten. TEAM JNPR for the next Collab pls. Pls pls pls. People like this and make it relevant. RWBY will be coming to an end in the next few years 😥

Been using xavier a lot since his debut, he's the only fun mage for me, sometimes people will mistook you for using maphack when you always hit them with his Ult lmao

I think I just witnessed a heated battle in a soap opera setting between the Xavier main and that toxic Saber main and that whole backstory about the Xavier main exacting his sweet revenge upon those that insult his name during the current match and his performance in the previous match. Truly was the best anime to watch out there!

Tip : try to use his ult in purple form more that way it deals more damage so enemy doesn't escape in 1 hp more often (hope that helps)

The thing with the animation cancel with your 2nd is that if its quick cast(not aimed) it will work but if its aimed its kinda hard to time. And the probability of it happening goes down the closer it is to Xavier.

tip: when clearing lane in the early game you can use ur second skill in one of the mid bushes to check for ambush or ganks

For those who are having trouble with the 1 2 combo instead of aiming 2 you can just aim 1 then tap 2 the 2nd skill automatically targets the nearest enemy

@@tenshidesu503 - There are subtly different styles for Cecilion that you can tap into for different matches, or also just according to your preference: - Full pen (Arcane boots, Magic Talisman, Lightning Truncheon, Glaive, Magic Wand, Glowing Wand) - Max damage (Demon boots, Clock, Lightning, Glaive, Holy Crystal, Blood Wings) - Max Durability (Tough/Warrior boots, Magic Talisman, and then 4 defensive items) - All-Rounder (Demon boots, Clock, Lightning, Glaive, Ice Queen Wand, 1 defensive item) I usually favor the Full pen for my style, often switching the glowing wand out for a defensive item. The idea is to count on stacks for damage (which is also the case in the max durability style). The Max damage approach is for games where your team is very early-game and mid-game focused and you don't want to get to the late game (generally happens if your team drafts weird after you). The All-Rounder is probably the most common style of Ceci build I see from other people, though. I like the Max Durability when my team doesn't have a tank. If we've double maged, I'll go roamer and get Dire Hit to make up for the missing damage, and as long as I spam my skills for stacks, I can still deal a lot of damage by the 15-20 minute mark.

i don't know if it only happens to me but there are times when i try to use the 1st and 2nd combo of Xavier, there are times it doesn't work even though the touch screen indicates that i already touched the 2nd skill. At first i thought it was just a bug or that my phone's a bit buggy but even though i got a new phone it's just the same. Just wondering if it only happens to me though,either way great vid Betos! Beto, you can ONLY use the 1-2-3 combo of Xavier when your passive stack levels are at full stacks. You can't use them in full capacity if you're not at under the Transcendence State.

You can get extra stack for xavier passive by hitting lord/turtle as well , I usually do that to get enhanced skills

Im a xavier main and I use sprint instead of flicker because it prevents me from getting chased down like u did on the last death of your loss

As a tablet player I can say that xaveir skills are a lot harder to aim on tablet. Maybe something to do with larger screen=more distance between buttons or need bigger motion to aim. Thus sometimes the second skill did not follow up in time to the first, like could not cast faster enough maybe
