I spent thirty years in law enforcement, and I think your ideas on self defense, are the most logical, practical and truthful, I have ever seen on the internet. Kudos!

A criminal getting shot just once by any type of gun usually means a visit to the hospital... and some uncomfortable questions from the police and parole officers.

Never thought I’d hear Christopher Walken discuss the merits of carrying a revolver in an informative way.

Another advantage to carrying a snubby in .22 or .32 or .38 - you won't destroy your eardrums in a self defense shooting.

The odds of needing to pull a gun in your lifetime is very, very low. When you DO have to pull, the odds of needing to FIRE are low. Most of the time then presentation of the gun ends the threat with no shots fired the vast majority of the time. This is all based on actual statistics. When you DO have to fire, 1-3 rounds is the vast majority of maximum shots fired. I’ll continue to carry my S&W .38 snub as the reliability and dependability is incredible. Power is good and I am accurate with it. It’s light enough and small enough to never have an excuse to leave it behind. Works for me!

Great advice. A 38 J Frame is all you need. And if you think that you’ll need more than 5 shots, carry two, they’re small.

S&W 642 is my always gun. I do carry semi’s, but always have my 642 in my pocket.

Snub nose revolver all you need for concealed carry..... Shhheeesh don't you know you need the extra tactical night vision equipped 13 flashlight laser sighted belt fed pocket carry AR-15 attachment 30 caliber clip assault weapon with the shoulder thing that goes up. How could a five shot j-frame ever be enough. ... No but seriously I love my 442 airweight it's my favorite to carry I carry other guns also but I never feel unarmed with my j frame

Carry whatever you can every day. I'm a fan of the little wheel guns but also like my semiautomatic's.

As a Under Cover ROOKIE working in The City of CHICAGO my First weapon was a 2" .22 H&R. Later I carried a S&W model 36

Back when Skeeter Skelton wrote for Shooting Times Magazine, I remember his articles (and others) proclaiming you should not carry anything smaller than a 44 magnum for a concealed carry gun...and you should never leave the house without a backup on your ankle...and of course you should have at LEAST enough ammo to reload both guns at least three times! I always chuckled at that. I loved his stories but he and I disagreed on personal carry. What you just said in this video has been my mantra since forever. I carry a cheap five-shot 38 spl. snubby revolver that will go bang with just a pull of the trigger. I have always advocated a small revolver for concealed carry for all the reasons you just mentioned. I have had hardened gun experts argue with me on all these points but I have always "stuck to my guns". Very nice video!

I know I have commented before but I really don't understand why I love this particular video so much. I have literally watched this video at least once a day for that last few months. I am a snub nose fanatic. I wish I knew this guy. His attitude in this video just really sits right with me lol. He's like an uncle I never had.

I’ve discovered that my snubby carried cross draw IWB is extremely comfortable, extremely safe, extremely concealed, and extremely accessible. It took some experimentation to get the right gun carried the right way for my body type (thin with a slight pooch).

This is why I prefer a revolver over a semi-auto for home and personal defense. Except for a hammer lock hole (which I don't use), there are no safety features in a revolver that I have to think about before using it to protect my home and my loved ones.
