I believe this isn’t just a background vocal. There was a detail that appeared to be leak the same year the song was released. It stated that TaeYeon did the demo for the song then used the demo as background vocals for the finish product.

I didn't do this tho 😅 and i believe it was only Taeyeon who did the background vocals.. it was stated in the song details
