Different leaders have different styles of leading. Taeyeon is a leader that cares for and advices her group. The SoShis probably appreciate her leadership because she's easy to approach and lets them be themselves. She's like an awesome first sister, which is probably just what they want for a leader.

For me they had a fight in 2011, but now they are not so close, but check some videos of TaengSic 2013, you'll see that they sometimes look, touch and talk to each other :)
