Love this vehicle. Drives better / more stable on the middle size mud tires. Doesnt bottom out as much. Good configuration options. Fuel build with min repairs from roof rack. Repair build with min fuel from roof rack. Bed and crane build with roof rack. Light weight with roof rack only. Sweeeeet!

Yeah I definitely like it although I’ve really not used it much for it’s intended purpose lol! I did notice though that I think the roof rack bug does affect this vehicle and slows it down a bit like some of the others! Not saying don’t add it, maybe the slight speed reduction isn’t bad but roof racks seem to mess with the characteristics a little bit! But yeah I love all the different options this and the new Ford has! Way cooler and this things mini van body and so on is cool 👍🏻 I don’t like the fuel add on though, it’s only 900L and yet it slows it down a lot, I tested it without that fuel add on but winching a scout fuel trailer (I’m sure you could add it into the sideboard add on, I just didn’t try so far, maybe I will for tonight’s review of it) and it travels along winching that just fine 👍🏻! In fact that’s how the aviation fuel got there lol! Point being though the scout fuel trailer doesn’t weigh much for a 900L tank and to be honest it’s probably not even worth the time to load it in the sideboard, just winch it along, but either way it’s the same amount of fuel, doesn’t affect the handling or speed of the tuz 16, and as and when you’re done with it you can just dump it and you’re back to being a sideboard truck etc without having to recover and change! Or winch the scout fuel trailer with the mini van body and now you’ve got 500 repairs and 900L on a small compact truck 👍🏻! Plus the roof rack for a bonus if you wish! Anyway it’s a great addition to the game and something fun to mess around with 👍🏻!

Wow...didnt realize it was a boat too. Damn thing floats too good...needs a boat prop now. Lol Still trying to get my dolphin lo4f trained and my lo4f dolphin trained... It was a bad day... Got em both extremely stuck... The lo4f trying to rescue the dolphin, the dolphin hauling 2 beams and 2 wood with that lousy red 4 slot ramp trailer in some deep ass bog on the first russian map. Did the mission in a fully upgraded tayga...saved em both with it sportin custom muds.

Haha yeah I wish the wheels could kind of wade through the water even just a tiny bit, like an old paddle boat does lol! Especially with these big wide muds on with big chunks of rubber oars all around them lol! I’ve seen trucks do it in real life and it would be such a cool mechanic to be able to slowly cross open water by floating and paddling across 👍🏻! In real life I believe the Yar does just that, and the tuz 420 is supposed to have an actual prop out of the back as in real life it does the same, floats and propels across water lol! I don’t see why or how it would break the game or make it too easy or something, maybe they will one day? Haha yeah to be honest it was a lot of trial and error to get to where I am now with the loaf where I can kind of guess the correct rescue option pretty quickly and get to work lol! I’ve spent many hours trying all sorts that didn’t work though! It’s just a gut feeling though but I swear that red ramped flat bed has become more of a pain in the arse to tow, it’s like the front tyres like to dig into terrain more now than just run over it, so they act more like anchors than wheels! I could be wrong but when I took the 4 slot in the Ford f750 review it appeared to do just that and the front tyres just wanted to push through the mud rather than roll over it? I find now that the semi trailer seems preferable if it’s possible since you’re only pulling the back wheels across stuff and as is the way with stuff like that it just gets over when it’s being pulled like that 👍🏻! Yeah the Tayga is a handy beast there’s no doubt 👍🏻! It’s got some serious pull to it and those custom muds do help dig in!

Yea ive seen em paddle around, various trucks and things. Seen one that looked like the yar 87 doing it to. I agree, it comes down to physics programming honestly. Probably havent figured out how to program traction with water yet. Not too much of a stones throw from extremely deep mud as far as the game engine is concerned id think. Spent most of my life getting vehicles to do thinks in the real world and not screw it up and get stuck or roll its habit. I dont get stuck in the game often, but when I do, bring a crane....big one. Gonna need to lift em out of where they are. Lol came over with the p12 with duals on it and the big crane to rescue the lo4f and dolphine. Still took about an hour to figure out how to get that thing in there, and another hour to figure out how to grab the vehicles and trailers in such a way i didnt roll the crane and unpack the cargo. But i got it. Then i yanked the p12 out with the dolphin and finished the run lol

Pat Putnam yeah I have no idea about the details of coding etc but I’m sure it could be done! And it would be really cool too! Haha yeah I can’t help but go flying lol! I’m the same on every game! I was more careful doing missions though but these days I practically tempt fate as I do love a good truck rescue as well lol! Do you find though that the cranes, the heavy crane in particular is a bit weak for what it is? I wish they’d up the lifting power as at full stretch it’s a bit iffy! Maybe it would mess with the game mechanics or they’d have to make the crane truck heavier so it can remain on the ground but yeah often I need to reel the crane arm back in to get any decent lift

I tried to take the 750 through the cliff.....and well, I was not successful. I will be making my third attempt to recover it from the bottom of the cliff. I laughed and cried when it happened, because i almost knew it would as I reached that area. Did it was the apc.......I almost got it back up onto the cliff but didnt have the grip.

Haha yeah a few people said they did that route when recovering the 750 lol! I didn’t make it my recovery route in my f750 location video as I thought I’d be walking some people into a trap haha! It’s a brilliant addition to the map though and I loved having a go across when I found it! I had the dolphin and loaf and radar trailer and the dolphin almost slipped a wheel off but just scraped through! It got my heart going haha!

Daniel Mackie nice man was it the long nose kolob? That said I think they’ve fixed the flat nose one but yeah the kolob is a towing beast really and it’s weight is so low down it’s not really going to flip, just keep pulling 👍🏻

I cannot believe my eyes today. I log in to snow runner after completing the F750 mission. And what appears before my eyes.....my actean sitting in front of the spot where I used the Kolob to pull the damn thing out. WTF game.......did I dream it? I had the f750 in my garage....customized it and drove it. I dont get it.....it didnt save my progress. im a bit angry now.

Yeah to be honest I did a large chunk of all my scouting with trucks over scouts! Especially back when the roof rack bug was slowing them all down before I knew about it, but yeah I even scouted white valley with the cat 745C lol! I made myself use the Yar for some of russia and it was fine but yeah I’d rather scout with a Tayga or dolphin or Voron etc and this thing I’m sure would be a good scout too 👍🏻! Maybe with the off road for scouting as it’s a bit mental in highrange and can flip which is not what you want when you’re the opposite side of the map from the garage lol!

I'm hoping the next part of the dlc increased the the max level because at this point having completed everything, theres a lot of xp that got wasted. Also from what I've tried, to get past the ice that breaks in the river in the middle of the map, tend to require around 50" tires and quite a bit of clearance between the ground and bumper. Also I feel the snow is worse in this dlc than in the regular game.

Yeah same here I’d love a lot more levels! I dread to think how much xp I’ve had since level 30! I’d only just started the drowned lands contest back then and have done about 250-300 goes on that so that’s over 150k xp alone! It should go to like level 1000 even if there’s sod all to unlock after level 30! I reckon I’d be well in the hundreds by now! As for the ice I think it’s also a bit of luck as to which bit you hit and if your wheels go perfectly through the gaps etc! I’ve tried all sorts over there from a loaf to a P16 and stuff like the loaf and dolphin and Voron and new tuz 16 and all sorts seem to make it regularly but can also go in! The P16 was in as soon as it touched it so I think weight makes a difference but speed can too! I’ve made it over slow, and I’ve made it over mid Jeff special as it’s so fast it doesn’t have time to break and let you fall through! But I still think there’s an element of luck and chance but they’ve made it brilliantly as in real life there’s an element of chance and not knowing right where the fracture lines are! And yes the snow is too slow for no real reason, it makes travelling off the roads too boring! Luckily though that frozen river that kind of spans out all over the middle of the map with branches going off nearer the edges is really handy to use to travel 3 quarters to your destination and then zip down a road for the rest, but I still wish they’d turn the snow resistance down 👍🏻

@@ccf500 I mean as in the snow slows you down a lot more in this dlc than the base game and I don't mean like the deep snow either. I could be driving in a couple of inches of snow and be slowed drastically

there are a few missions that need 6 cargo slots the tuz is perfect for winching behind a semi to get your sixth slot

nfsfanAndrew yeah I’ve done that before although I’d tow at least a loaf behind that too for the reason Chris said that having a spare vehicle to winch you back van be handy 👍🏻! But I did love the sideboard and ramped trailer set up! I find the ramped trailers front wheels seem to be a bit of a pain these days for digging into terrain rather than rolling over? Unless it’s just me?

Chris Betts yeah that’s exactly why I’ve pretty much always got a loaf in tow 👍🏻! Going out with tandem vehicles is a good method to get into as it gives you one extra chance when shit hits the fan lol 👍🏻! I guess you could also do the set up Andrew mentioned and then have this tuz 16 towing behind with say a repair van body or fuel to supply or fix the main cargo hauler 👍🏻! I love the options on this game! If you put some thought into your next mission you can make a combo of trucks and supplies and winches that makes you nigh on unstoppable and very likely to get there first time even if there is a hiccup along the way 👍🏻! I hate recovering and having to cover old ground, so having a back up has saved me an insane amount of hours! Literally how and why I discovered the magic of the loaf lol

POSTCARD FROM AUS: Hey! #Kovd /Covid 19 was that deliberate Focus? OMG! Had to start the game again for the 3rd time. To play the new map & season pass. My PS account was set up in UK, now living in Australia. PS accounts are regional, wouldn't let me use $ only Pounds. So had to start an Aussie account. Level 9 now and tackling the new map with the Fleetstar , Loadstar . Just got the new Tuz, the steering is nuts. On my way to get the Ford 750, MAN! the snow is deep. Hey! The fucking lights work at last! Sad to say the stock Loaf is a bit useless as I haven't been to Russia yet to get upgrades. Your vids are very helpful Mr L Wolf cheers from OZ!

Haha yeah I thought the same that it’s a bit of an iffy name lol! I wonder if they had the name for it before or after the whole COVID thing? That sucks man, I remember you mentioning something about that before so I think it’s best to just bite the bullet and set up an Ozzy account like you’ve done 👍🏻! It’s a bit crap how that works with the ps store! Never had that issue myself as I’m always here lol! At least you can tackle the game again and try all sorts of different trucks on the original missions so in the long run it’s not so bad 👍🏻! I think by the time the next map is here you’ll be back up to where you want to be lol! Yeah this thing is mental lol! Personally I’d recommend at least trying the medium muds rather than the big ones as they seem to be just too big for the truck and it makes a not amazing steering situation into a bad one lol! But either way it’s a bit of a menace which I like! This game needed a truck that feels like it has more power than it needs rather than not enough 👍🏻! The snow on that Kovd map is either bugged or purposely upped to make you even slower for some reason! The best way to move around on Kovd is to use the icy river that’s kind of in the middle of the map and branches out across the map really! That new radar trailer also scans the map like a mobile watch tower so it’s worth getting 👍🏻! Yeah a stock loaf is not really worth it lol! It’s too low and slow and yeah I’d wait until you’ve got the upgrades 👍🏻! Once you’ve got the full fat loaf it’s a god damn horse of a vehicle lol! Thanks dude I’m glad the videos are helping 👍🏻! I did a test and I could get there in a fully stock ck1500. For some reason highway tires are good in snow but terrible anywhere else on map.

It’s a tough map this one but by using that frozen river that spans out from the middle you can get fairly close to most points on the map and the roads themselves are mostly alright! It’s Mr Lone Wolf I was soo surprised I only had to use the winch in the last little bit with the mud. The highway tires are just that good in the snow. I prob could have taken a route that was in the snow instead of in mud and gotten there even easier.

Thing Boy yeah that’s pretty crazy! I figured it might need a winch at the last bit but still that’s pretty decent to get there even as this map certainly isn’t a beginner kind of map really! I’m glad it made it lol I actually like the ck, it’s a little bit slower but on the second rally stage it was so nice to fly down that northport road 👍🏻

I don't recommend high range on this truck. At least if you plan on controlling it. Its very finicky. Even with offroad gearbox this thing is pretty fast to be honest

Yeah I agree I tried it out with the off road and it certainly calms it down more! If I was playing sensibly with it which may occur at some point then I think I’ll do the same 👍🏻! Depends on the route and cargo and so on but yeah generally speaking I’d recommend the off road box too! Yeah even in off road it was going a nice speed in 4th gear for me!

Yeah it’s happened to me once or twice! Is there a chance you either left it in quarry or recovered it to Zimnegorsk and then turned the game off? It’s had me twice doing that! It’s a pretty rare bug considering how many people are leaving stuff all over the place! And I don’t think it’s exclusive to quarry etc although for me it has been! I have a Tayga sat on white valley as a kind of bug test to see if it ever gets taken as i repeatedly turn the game on and off each day! Sadly I don’t believe there’s any way to get it back, have you checked all your garages too to make sure you’ve not left it in one of them but not retained it, that way it doesn’t show up on the maps or in your retained list! I’ve never tried this and don’t have a video on it but there is a way to duplicate trucks in this game, I believe it’s something to do with going online, but you could in theory duplicate a truck and sell it and buy your Tayga back 👍🏻! But check how it’s done first and do it at your own risk, never heard of anyone losing anything while doing the duplication bug but still, I’ve not tried it myself so I don’t want to 100% recommend it but that’s what a heck of a lot of people are doing to get free money basically 👍🏻! Some people have 10 taygas and more from duplicating them whenever they feel like it!

Chris Betts damn that’s well bad dude, I’ve not had that bad, it took my Voron grad the first time, and the second time it took my freightliner 911 thing and a loaf although by happenstance it cloned my loaf on the rift update so it’s not too bad lol! Also had a Tayga duplicate once but I don’t know how, I didn’t go online for either times? But I know with the missing trucks it was quarry or just recovered to Zimnegorsk and then turned the game off, it’s like it must kinda save it but not fully so they’re off the quarry map but not been on Zimnegorsk long enough to re-save and bank them so to speak?

Usually I can do it but if I come up against some rough terrain it just immediately slows back down to normal high but this thing just wants to keep going 👍🏻! I’ll keep experimenting though as it’s more than fun to hit the Jeff special and go flat out over that breakable ice or down the frozen ice and well on white valley I had the farthest jump I’ve ever had I reckon 👍🏻! Not far off half way but not quite yet

To be honest dude I’ve not ever been on online mode except to do that Goliath trophy and borrow someone’s trailer lol I’ll have to try it some time but I’ve just been so busy doing these videos I haven’t even got around to it, I think that’s how people are duplicating trucks with some online bug! I wonder if it’s been patched? I hope not, never used it but if people want to then who cares lol 👍🏻

Yeah I believe they did that a little while ago but not too long, I’ve not really used it much since then as I wish they’d remove that stupid axle off it lol! But I did use it in my rally stage 4 video i believe and it has the diffs always on then! It’s cool but yeah it needs that axle gone! With that gone with would be a great truck I think 👍🏻!

Well since this game I’ve got a fair few messages and requests and stuff pop up on there lol but being completely honest I wouldn’t even know right now how to find them or read them etc anyway! I’m sure if I scroll around the menus I’d find them but yeah it’s a part of the PlayStation features I never use! The reason I’m not adding anyone though is each time it pops up a notification on my screen, it sometimes causes the footage I save to have small glitches and missing footage and if I started adding everyone then I’d be getting all kinds of notifications and all sorts lol!

It’s the Azov 5319! I call it the off road dolphin because it jumps up and down over boggy mud like a dolphin in the waves lol! But essentially I couldn’t be arsed keep trying to remember every azov’s bloody phone number every time, too many numbers lol, the 5139 is the dolphin, the 6 something is called John, and the 7 something is called Bruce 👍🏻! Tuz 16 is more like it, not tuz167923091 etc! Too long to remember and too long to say each time!

What's better for snow? Chained wheels or off-road wheels?

I’m on the PS4 with this game so unless epic get royalties or something then I don’t think I’m benefiting them if that makes sense! Plus I’m a very small channel so I doubt they even know I exist haha! But again I appreciate the thought man 👍🏻!

Are you not I quite like it, although after a while I prefer to go back to a bit of a faster map! I do think some of the snowy areas are too slow too like they’ve been dialled up too much for no reason really! But the dolphin and Voron and so on flies around pretty nicely 👍🏻! What don’t you like about the map dude? What about the breakable ice?

@@itsmrlonewolf Agree with other comments about the snow in this map different to other maps. More powdery maybe. I've not fully explored the whole map yet but the lack of useable roads is more challenging I guess. Will definitely persevere tho! Before this map i had the game 100% complete and agree about the wasted XP points and progression. Still love the game..

sly200sx yeah I don’t know what the deal or idea is behind the snow that’s extra resistant? It’s a bit of a pain in the arse I agree! It’s honestly worth persevering though dude, I honestly got the same feeling mid scouting like I didn’t like this map too much as it’s just too slow and arduous for the sakes of it! But once you’ve explored it all, you’ll find that to travel around the map, that big icy frozen river in the middle of the map kind of spans outwards to nearly every area and corner so you can just go left as you spawn out your garage, smash through the fences and then you’re on the flat ice and can travel quite quickly and nicely to say 2 thirds of your way to where you’re going, and as long as you try to stick to the roads for the rest it’s not that bad in the end and I really like this map now 👍🏻! I hope they tone down the snow though as venturing off the roads in the deeper snow is just a killer lol! I had it in my head that a fully upgraded dolphin would be fine over the snow so I started just aiming at the watch towers and driving and yeah, looking back I’d have been better off just taking the roads lol! But it shouldn’t be like that as I can point and floor it on just about any other snowy map? Yeah it’s a shame about the wasted xp too! I’m not that fussed as I’m not missing out on anything as such, but it would be nice to keep climbing levels and see that xp go somewhere! Ah well in the future who knows! I honestly think one of the things the company underestimated themselves is the addictiveness and success of this game and didn’t think they’d need more than 30 levels etc! But I could do with more like a thousand or so lol 👍🏻
