Some features I'm actually glad that modders did, because modders tend to go with what the community wants, and are more active and faster when there's a bug, the Dev's themselves sometimes don't care, or just take too long to fix it. But then again, the people who don't have access to mods will struggle in those areas, so there is some sense

You know what SHOULD be standard? Recoverable trailers... once you have discovered a trailer you should be able to recover it. Only in hard mode should trailers not be recoverable

1. Ability to use repair points without attaching a trailer (like fuel) so you can park a repair trailer in a convenient location and use it even with scouts. 2. Ability to unpack cargo without having to attach trailer. Like when you want to lift cargo off of a semitrailer but you don't have a vehicle with a saddle nearby (so you have to tip it over)

bro...I agree with both of your points specially the repair points one...also we cant refuel or repair from a roofrack or fuel cistern of another truck unless we switch to it.
Just bought the game last week. I did not realize how much I was missing out playing without mods. Thank you for all your informative videos!
1. Support for proper manual shifter 2. Modular system for fuel cans, repair kits, spare tires. Choose exactly what you want to put on that roof rack, the bed of your pickup, the tool boxes on the side of your truck or trailer and why not in the back of the Scout 800 instead of on the roof of this already top heavy vehicle?

A good support for a manual shifter is what I need! I hate when I am driving my truck on the highway with the Auto gearbox mode and I lift off the throttle for one moment and suddely the truck downshifts 5 gears and loses all momentum
6:13, in the real world the landing gear, the support legs, would get ripped right off if you were to apply any horizontal force to them. It's not feasible to use them to support the load while it's being winched.

@@onespeaks8189 studded tires on heavy trucks is not really thing in the real world... what they should add is the ability to put chains on your tires when you need them rather than having to buy "chained tires" at the garage... then people would get more use out of the hwy tires and what not if they could just throw a set of chains on when going down an icy or muddy road.

@@petemclovins9166 I agree. It wold also add versatility to trucks that would otherwise need to choose between good off-road tires, or chained up AT tires. A bit of a rebalance for the chains would be nice too, as they should offer a slight improvement in mud and a slight detriment on pavement.

Sometimes I wish they had something like this available where you could just cut down trees in the way and then throw them into your log trailer: /watch?v=dyQMgoJjxWc&t=299s
i also would like to have a proper option to clear rocks and trees on the roads permanent - just like a side quest "prepare/repair the route" so you need to work to get the road ready if you want to take it - maybe drive with a loader or caterpilar or something like this - could be also bring back some use for some road class trucks
Instead of this Saber will just add Tayga tires to another truck lol

Right? And those tires don't look good on every truck
Agree with all these. Also, how about the ability to put signs on roads that aren't suitable for larger vehicles, the ability to clear roads of rubble and to level roads by filling holes etc.

Yes!!! I was saying this the other day when I kept running over debris. It would be awesome to take some type of truck that can pick up branches and rocks. @@aawells07 100% agree they need to add a plow to clear roads I can’t stand taking random bits of damage from rocks on the road getting stuck up under my rig
I've always wanted to see working wiper blades. I think that would be a pretty good thing to have in a simulation game. Plus some trucks have them stuck right in the middle of the window.

The devs need listen to the people like the great modding community does. Ty all the great modders. This game is good but after almost a yr on console no mods I was getting to the point to give up on game to slow 100s of hrs i got in. Again ty modders for putting more fun in a already fun game
The trailer at 0:44 has "tool box" and fuel tank for a reason. Heavy trailers like that commonly come with their own compressors / hydraulic pumps for lifting/lowering support legs The regular trailer beds like sideboard one we got ingame have more simple and less heavy duty support legs and usually are lowered manually unless they are fitted with some sort of system.
You're rocking all of my favorite mods! Nice taste. Loved your video. Two thumbs up!
Thank you for covering two of my favourite games! (GTA 5 and Snowrunner) : )
Wow you really couldn't have been more on point with this video!! 👏👏👍

Great video, if Saber took at least half of them would be a win. Several Rng3r mods featuring in your video, I think I have used them all, great mods! I was one of the game purist who don't use mods for normal game progression but when logging update came...it changed my views because medium logs are only carried on trailer and not just any trailer but the most annoying one with double steering wheels and with those logging cranes it's pretty hard to pick and place the logs back in that trailer

@@SD1ONE I totally agree with you, I have played most of the game without mods, and the ones I install I try that they are more realistic and not to be too OP, since is the fun part trying to do a mission. They Log update on my opinion is one of the hardest as you say because of crane and the trailer options; without mods it would take too much time to deliver playing solo.
Great vid, i really like that white car hauler. Also i agree the mod logging cranes are so much better.
Really fun looking mods can't wait to try them out
Quite a few base game trucks still need either engine buffs, I'm looking at you Derry 4520, or bug fixes, the Cat CT680 rear suspension still seems buggy to me
@francistessier687
3 жыл бұрын
I don't think those fixes will be done since devs think that mods will solve all the probems. Unless mods don't threaten to replace the official trucks, devs will not listen to players.
Some of them actually got added by now, like the vehicle rescue platforms and the medium log body addon
I just started playing this game a couple of months ago and already have 400+ hours( some of those asleep at the wheel, lol) and one of the things that drives me crazy is how my truck seems to magnetize towards all the rocks. I wish they had some kind of plow attachment that I can clear roads with.
Also, whatever your tires your truck has it should automatically applied to trailers
I Agree with your video, I also wish they'd add super heavy cranes like the Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1
I wish thet would add a radio
I forgot that you changed your logo! Very nice :D
Really hope P16 can have that foldable long log carts in real life, I really enjoy log mission using P16
The bridge layer one is really useful. There is some places where it is hard to get to because either mud or water, where you cant really winch yourself out
You nailed it!
I wish there was a proper "freelook" so you could actually use VR headset, or headtracking device
nice profile dude, I really dig the look
Fully agree on small beds to utilize empty space and additional "subtle" repair kits and fuel tanks. "Subtle" stuff would help a lot in hard mode, even if you could just choose what do you want to put in spare tire slot- a tire, a bit of repair or a spare fuel can.
Omg you speaking out of my soul
These are good ideas. Snowrunner has an official discord with a suggestions channel where you can suggest these.
I really like the lock wheel one for trailers Even though all these will ease the game difficulty lol so not sure
Would love to have manual gearboxes, ability to replay missions, have frame add on that plows snow and ice off of roads, as well as rocks.
I think they need to change the way we use trailers for the next game. They are almost a throw away item with them lying around everywhere. Instead they should be upgradable and be treated the same way trucks are. It’s sort of another example of how this game is quantity over quality.

I always pick up unused trailers & sell them back to the trailer store £££
I really could picture them building an entire map solely around the bridge add on
A thousand times yes. Also being able to choose where crane is positioned (correct me if I'm wrong but you need mods to do so, otherwise the crane would always be by the cab.) Also looking at Peterman mod some new cargoes like concrete mixer/cargo or trash addon.
Awesome stuff
What mods are being used at 4:32 and 4:43 and 4:59? I've never come across a mod that gives you a double short and medium log trailer. That's awesome.
I think it should also be snowtires and double-deck add-ons to double the cargo carrying capacity.
I agree with all of these it would be nice
Nice
Didn’t know I wanted those features till now
Great list! Add Double and triple trailers! Long log addons on long trucks! Azov 73210 by Mr. Busses is able to carry long log and a long log trailer behind it.
Totally agree most of these mods a realistic and make the game more fun.
Small beds is a must. Better crane for logs, compatible with more than one truck at every country...too.
I was saying the other day when I kept running over debris that It would be awesome to take some type of truck that can pick up branches and rocks. They could add another mission type "clear the road of debris" where you remove it manually. I think we should be able to cut our own trees down for logging and clearing your own paths.
@HvV8446

Ugh, cutting certain trees would be so nice. Just to be able to fit that one, very large vehicle. Maybe they can do it with an chainsaw addon (just like you have spare parts and tires) and have the same cross as when you remove cargo. I believe though is is possible to edit the game files in a way that allows you to knock over big trees like you can with small trees, but that also voids like 95% of your winch points
Some of these are kind of OP, like the radar addon, so I understand them not being added. But there are a lot of quality of life things here, I especially like the "subtle" auxiliary fuel tanks and repair kits, and the more compact logging cranes. Reminds me of the Mudrunner days.
I feel a big one which I don’t see many people talking about is the ability to walk around and interact with the environment. Maybe you have to get out of the truck and shovel some snow to get some traction. I also think it would make the game even more realistic

The medium log body addon in particular. We used all the time in Mudrunner, so why the devs didn't put it in Snowrunner to is beyond me.... Also yes I to noticed certain trucks have alot of wasted space on the bed or between the axles, being able to mount additional repair kits, spare wheels or fuel tanks is a great idea.
An inclinometer, similar to Poghrim's Inclinometers mod needs to be included as well.
Well we got the vehicle loading ramp!
Yes! I've always said since Mudrunner they should have the portable bridge, I was thinking more of the Vietnam War tank style ones, but that works too. And the foldable log cart was in Mudrunner, why not Snowrunner? Bring it back!

Rear cranes are missing. Front cranes can cause problems, like on the ZiKZ 5368. Spare wheel is (was) almost useless because everything except the low saddle would remove it. Now there's at least more add-ons that can be used with the spare wheel.
1. very cool feature, but should be balanced 2. makes balancing difficult: you would barely need repair trailer or the big fuel tank anymore 3. nice idea, but too powerfull 4. nice gimmic - but tipping over would be unrealistic 5. fuel and repair on trucks to powerful; on scouts available in trunk, frame repair wheels exist 6. i would rather love trailer front axle turning 90° or more! 7. overpowered and ugly ;-) 8. definetely like! 9. great feature aswell! would make recovery missions (scouts) way more stylisch 10. are not ment to be pulled like this 11. definetely, the SR one is ugly and clunky 12. prefer my flatbeds not overloaded ;-) 13. not balanced 14. 100% YES! colored beds, cranes etc.! 15. totally overpowered, so No for me
@matchesburn
3 жыл бұрын
"3. nice idea, but too powerfull" It isn't. The bridge can move and be shifted. Trying to place it in even shallow rushing water and it will get swept away. It's also susceptible to shifting and getting moved from your truck's tires, especially with heavier vehicles. "4. nice gimmic - but tipping over would be unrealistic" Tipping over and teleporting to your home base garage is also unrealistic, as well. "5. fuel and repair on trucks to powerful" Asinine opinion. "7. overpowered and ugly ;-)" It's not overpowered because you can literally stack cargo on any trailer and use the crane winch to keep them on. As far as ugly, who cares? Half the trailers look like something that were pulled out of a Soviet era scrapyard. "10. are not ment to be pulled like this" Yes, they kinda are. When you hitch those trailers, you can fold the parking legs up. Towing them via winch is basically the same thing. "12. prefer my flatbeds not overloaded ;-)" Long flatbeds = overloaded. Gotcha. "13. not balanced" ...How in the hell is putting a small 1x cargo container in the HUGE UNUSED AREA ON THE TRUCK'S FRAME "not balanced"? "15. totally overpowered, so No for me" LOL, "totally overpowered" when you can just winch drag or hitch the vanilla game one and use it instead. Okay.

@@matchesburn I tried that one and I know its "wobbly". but one could fix this by making it "super sticky" to the ground and then its very mighty
Locking the trailer wheels is a must. I hate using anything that's not a semi trailer because of this
I'm sceptical about all features that would make the game more easy. Unless they are not avaiable in Hard Mode.
For open-roof vehicles, I think the problem is roll-overs. We know they can happen, and what happens to the driver in that case? Do they get squished? They need at least a roll cage for that reason. For fence/railing, carrying double cargo is not supposed to be an option, so that most likely won't be added. Same with semitrailer stands with wheels for winching - and that is unrealistic as well.
what would be cool is if we could set up a double trailer road-train without using the winch, just 2 Trailers, just a Semi trailer(5 Cargo) and a Semi-trailer on a Dolly, Dolly attaches to rear of first Semi trailer and in turn rear Semi-Trailer attaches to that, somewhat similar to the Ramped Flatbed but having an additional 5 Cargo, within the game there are plenty of roads that allow for this and a lot more that don't so it could be used for those easy access missions while also adding to the challenge of driving through difficult terrain that they arbitrarily place on those easy roads in that there is more weight to get you bogged down, higher fuel consumption and i'm sure the devs could adjust the rate of fuel use to balance the concept out and of course they would have to slightly alter the back end of the already modelled Semi Trailer as it currently stands i usually run a 10 slot setup having a Flatbed attachment on the truck, an attached 4 Slot ramped flatbed and then winching behind that an additional 4 slot Ramped Flatbed trailer, Fuel Consumption is higher due to more weight and the truck gets stuck more easily on difficult muddy terrain.
Fuel and repair that's not on the roof would be especially useful for the scouts. Particularly the Don and... well, Scout, since they're top-heavy and with roofracks, very prone to falling over.
If u want easy to reverse trailers get the off road trailer mod pack on of and console it has locking pivot off-road tyres and suspension as well as supply’s like that fuel and repair points
Verry useful mod XD
I agree... although mods are cool...they don't work offline correctly and I hate downloading and dealing with the bugs to activate them
nice video 🖒
I would think a portable bridge is OP. Imagine coming across a bridge task and just set up the bridge from your truck instantly
24 cargo slot! 🤘🏻
One of the Missing features is when trucks have Log Loader Crane + Log Carrier Front.
what about the whole frame middle boxed in for gas tanken/steam rollers, create trucks, levelers dirt to dig, dumps to fill in terains build better roads ie missions?
Pretty good list. Personally I really want a bulldozer, mainly to clear all them damn rocks off the roads, but also to clear out bogs in the middle of main roads. It'd be great for swamp rescues too, heavy, but tracked. Street Sweeper might help too. Also a Dirt Bike for rapid scouting. And being able to connect two winches at once, perhaps by introducing a tow truck. It'd also be nice to have realistic fuel consumption and damage taken from 1/4 mile impacts, but I'd settle for a bulldozer. Or hay, once you clear an area of missions have the roads improve a bit, really annoys me in the first map where you have a mission to find three pumps to lower the water level, but the roads and fields stay as muddy as ever.
7:40 would be so helpful especially for big missions
I would LOVE an open-roof scout truck, I like to play in cabin view since I use a wheel.
they have to fix the unpacked weigh of cargo, improve crane's capabilities, make also the wheels of trailer and suspesion at risk of broke (and stop to see the trailer always jump on the terrain), fix the fuel tank of some track, and give to everyone roofpack ext and also in the normal mode, the possibility to return near the garare with the trailer, so we could sell it and then go to the garage p.s. the wheel of all truck is not too strong for you? and why don't divide the life of suspension for the number of wheel, will look more realistic
eh sup doc. what's drivin
Great video. I would welcome if developers would cancel those winch points on small trees. I hate when I need to winch myself quickly, and it just winches on some small tree and immediately rips it off the ground. Its just useless.
@SD1ONE

and it does that every single time and don't stop until all small trees get broken
A gauge would be nice, amphibian vehicles, More adaptive suspension on off-road trucks. Trucks with two axles in the front an one in the back. An height adjustable Fifth wheel, so you can use one for all trailers. And more overcap trucks like uaz.
Medium log add on is there already it is on some eight wheel truck, I forgot the name.
1) The high trailer supports to cerry double loads - NO Separates men from boys. This is a feature for the advanced players, that know how to drive, not make it easy for everyone.. 2) more cranes, not just logging crane. Needs to have stronger cranes besides the existing vanilla weak ones, but with some disadvantages. Like heavy cranes to be usable only on long trucks. Plus the existing vanilla large crane should be a lot tougher than right now (double it's existing strength) 3) those bridge type trailers, in implemented officially, when deployed they should be part of the world/ground, otherwise they might fall off their location when attempting to drive over them, or worse lead to some spectacular crashes and damages to trucks
@SD1ONE
3 жыл бұрын
Ok...agree with some points: 1) high trailer not only protect double cargo from falling but even single cargo from falling too...so even if non advanced player use it for single cargo it would provide more advantage over normal trailer 2) This point I completly agree. normal loading cranes need a buff and specially the heavy crane, it should be able to lift small trucks easily otherwise it's not as useful as it can be. 3) yeah bridges do need to be in a fixed place when deployed but I tried this modded one and TBH it's better than my expectations...it has winching point to guide trucks on it but yeah you have to careful as it can move from it's place.
@tommyb6611

@@SD1ONE 1) That is part of the playing skill. Good (not expert, just good) players can drive no problems with second level cargo on top of existing packed cargo. If a player cannot drive like that, means they need more practice and understand how to drive through offroad terrain and how to pack their stuff. For example there are cargo units like "consumables" which have weird construction box and should not be used as base to place on top of it a second layer (unstable) And then you have fuel, oil barrels, small pipes, concrete slabs, concrete block, etc that have rectangular shape on top and can carry easier a second layer.
Все эти вещи очень сильно облегчают и без того не самую сложную игру. Вся игра на изи бы проходилась. Единственное с чем разрабы реально промахнулись, это с перевозкой бревен, реально трэш.
Some of these are now in the game which is good
Ability to carry two short logs is essential
I think they should add double tow because most semi trailers have hitches on the back
It's funny how several of these showed up a few months later
Buy chains that you can fit when needed, thats what we do in norway, we stop the truck before dangerous hills and add chains when needed.
I think devs have know these all. But they won't make them. Because they drop these useful features and add truck load of junk (like debris and fallen trees) in our way in purpose to make the game reach certain difficulty level.
Articulated Towing Addon is a Vehicle Loading Ramp
Locking trailers would be insanely useful, also wasn't the long log trailer foldable in Mudrunner?

@Blonde Stekel Well there's a difference between more difficult and pain in the ass
Everything besides the search radar, yes please.
Maybe one day they'll want to earn more money and then add cool stuff like this
I agree strongly with everything (except open top vehicles and radar - no problem with them but I personally don't really feel the need). Are you listening devs? At times I think the devs don't have a good grasp of the difference between challenging and frustrating game design.
Funny how logging was pretty much the only thing in Mudrunner, and then it got relegated to last place with almost "tacked on" mechanics. It's a PITA to do any logging mission at the moment.
I think that many of these would mess up the game balance, you would have a lot of options and trucks would become a "drive what you want" instead of "drive what you need" for the given situation, modular fuel and repair is very cool and it would work great, bridges would make the map trivial.. tho i hope they implement them i some way in a bigger map with very tough terrain, loading ramps, a damn big yes. double stack trailers yes but only for high trailer hitch. I think that logging and heavy trailers need more love from the devs, those few heavy trailers like the 8 slot are terrible to maneuver
is there a specific list of what mods you used? i dont like using a whole lot of extra trucks or mods and i just want to grab the features you showcased
Maybe more customisation in vehicles like interior and more
