@@Themandalorian935 There were two movie adaptations. 'Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory' was in 1971 and 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' was in 2005. Most people probably refer to the 2005 movie, because it's the more popular version today (I think) while the first one has all of the memes. But yeah, I think most of the fan theories use the 1971 version.
Harvey Weinstein tried to force the director to remove 20 minutes from the movie, he refused, so HW let the film die by only releasing it into 5 theaters.

Director Bong Joon Ho is a saint when it comes to his films, he’s the best! 🎥❤️
Btw I just rewatched the 2005 movie: War of the Worlds( The good one with Tom Cruise). If you havent checked it out yet, I definetly recommend it

tilda swinton is a great actress! you should see “we need to talk about kevin” its an amazing psychological thriller that shes also in
One of my favorite Bong Joon-ho films. You have to check out The Host (2006) after this. It's one of Korean cinema's best offerings, also made by him.
Chris Evans is also in the first “fantastic four”
I just binge watched the tv show. Season 1 is pretty good, and whats out for Season 2 so far is even better. I'm unsure if the show is a prequel, or just a reimagining of the movie, as the show takes place only 6-7 years after the train departs on its journey.
Not many people talk about it, but the TV series version is also pretty good. Like, not as unique as this movie, but still pretty good

Definitely a different feel since its a different medium. I find the movie makes a specific point, while the TV show explores a lot of different ideas.
I saw this movie for the first time 2 months ago and its just so good, for this being just on a train as they go around the earth is crazy
The TV show is actually really good. I went into it not expecting anything, but there's a lot of plot twists and many enjoyable characters.
I really wish Grey would have survived, he was such a cool character and a power house for the team.

The Tv show is great, it was based on the original French comic book and this movie just based on Bong jun hoo imagination.
I also recommend the youtube video (from Rhino Stew, I think) called Why Snowpiercer is a Sequel to Willy Wonka... It really blew my mind. The theory is called Wonkapiercer. Chris Evans even made a joke referencing Willy Wonka, he said " the snozbabies taste like snozbabies"

This was the stupidest sci-fi film of all time. The premise is dumb, he logistics impossible, and the ending just stupid. Is that supposed to be a happy ending, one girl and one boy survive in a world where all other humans are dead/gone. Oh yeah, and they are about to be hunted by a polar bear that has been eating what for the last 17 years? If all life was wiped out, it doesn't just magically reappear if conditions get a little less inhospitable. This was clearly written by people with a public elementary school science education.

The whole movie is a metaphor man…it’s not really striving to be logical…you have the train, representing life and the class system. At the end of the movie they break that cycle. If you watched this movie looking for logic, I agree 3/10 at best. But, if you saw the metaphor it easily goes up to a 7-10/10. Definitely not for everyone, but a good movie nonetheless.
