Snowmobile Racing Dakota 660 Ice Racers First Race of the Season 2023

I took my son to the Dakota 660 Ice Racers opening day races. It is pretty wild watching these machines take off and hit speeds between 100 to 120+MPH on a frozen lake in a couple of seconds.
Check out the Dakota 660 Ice Racers Facebook page for full racing results and additional racing dates. Dates fluctuate due to ice conditions and everyone’s schedule.
Bundle up because it can be cold but you can sit in your car and stay warm if you prefer.
I wanted to capture more footage but the cold kept zapping the battery on my camera.

They running 660 or 500 ft?for 660 in p.s.1000 118 mph seems a little slow.

I think it’s 660’ for everyone. A few of them we up around 125. My camera batteries kept freezing so I wasn’t able to catch some of the later races.

Where was that race at? I would like to bring my aaen 800 triple and v4 as they are setup for 660 runs

From Minot, ND go about 18 miles south on highway 83. Then go west on highway 23 about 10 miles. If you look on google earth there’s a big curve on hwy23. It’s at the east end of that curve. Follow Dakota 660 Ice Racers on Facebook for future race dates.
