SNOWFLAKE - By Mike Bartlett Monologue

This is the monologue from the Play Snowflake by Mike Bartlett, where I am playing the character of Maya. It can be found on page 71.
Maya is described as 21 years old.
This is the link to purchase the play:
www.amazon.co.uk/Snowflake-Mo...
DISCLAIMER: I am in no way advertising for Amazon or supporting buying from them in anyway as they're a shitty company. This was just an easy link to buy the play.
This is a good monologue for drama school auditions as there is a really nice journey to the piece, however, I would recommend trimming it down a bit as the way I did it was too long.
If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me on Instagram at nansi_love . I will try to answer all questions as best I can.
Please don't forget to like and subscribe and as always thank you for watching!

This actually sounds real. Most others overact monologues. Ur subtle, yet passionate.

Anna-May Wood thank you so much! The play girls and boys is a one woman play and the opening section about meeting her husband is really funny you should give it a read! X

Great work, I love watching you perform. Do you have maybe some more recommendations for contemporary monologues for drama school auditions, that are not overdone? I am currently searching for them and I feel hella overwhelmed.., I feel like every good piece had been already done by so many applicants. I'm thinking about Lungs by Macmillan, but I am not sure if it is not overdone, idk please help haha

Thank you so much Victoria! I would try to avoid Lungs as it has been done a lot recently especially in the last couple of years so maybe try the Mosquitos or This Wide Night as in my experience those are uncommon. If you want something that isn’t on the channel I can have a lot as to what I can find for you.

Thank you! And that would be very helpful and amazing if you could send me some other ideas. I have to Find a role that’s my age as that is what the school I am applying to is requesting (I’m 17) and unfortunetly the wide night has older characters
