As a snowboarder in my much younger years traveling around Rockies and. Sierras seeking backcountry thrills, I gotta say man you got lucky here. The KZread title doesn't do justice to the real deal here. Just watching, knowing what's pushing you. Damn that was pretty intense. Stoked you rode it out ok!

He’s definitely going a lot faster than that. Nothing is stopping an avalanche, and there’s almost no friction between the layers of snow. Also, the GoPro makes it looks slower than it is, but I would say he was going at least 40 mph.

Were those roller balls all along the slope? Signs that the slope was already too hot to ride. Looked like the slide was caused by the pressure he applied when he stopped.

yooo skiiing some very nice terrain in past video's everyone loves the slide video tho you stopped little low to right just got caught out i'm surprised how quick it fractured , either ski it slow and cautious or straight line it like zavier de la rue :)

And he's riding SOLO...that's a huge no on this terrain. Even if you have a breathing hole you risk slowly dying from dehydration/starvation.

Well that was exciting. I got stuck in a small one years ago and skied it out till we came to a halt. Sometimes over my head during the run and mid chest deep when it stopped
