Just came from a vapid/narcissist road vlog where the camera was constantly on her (primarily) and him (a close second). Her mouth breathing reaction to the road (instead of letting us see the road). Her portrait reaction to "this spot is insaaaaane you guyz!" they sat at by a lake. You know, instead of showing us the spot and its view of the lake. His eyerolling "Glad she left" reaction to the lady who drove off from a hot spring when they showed up and didn't pet their dog. The difference between a "real people" channel and a cash & fame grab are definitely detectable.

Are you blind an deaf? Literally background music, fancy editing and they even plugged their insta...they even cooked salmon. I mean.. Ive been doing this in every season in the PNW and don't film shit because it's my life, for me. They can't even eat without a camera. " Weird angle".. lolz

Kamp has such a cute personality! The way he frolicks in the snow, stops and looks at you with a little sassy tilt in his head is just adorable 🙌

The simplicity is the secret of the success, and I love the simplicity of this couple. Like if u agree.

I really appreciate the simplicity of life that you guys are afforded. In my life, I've lived in a Scamp, Tee-Pee, off grid solar cabin, converted school bus....but now I am a single father with a 5 year old little boy. My freedom has been compromised! lol. I joke, but I really do miss the simplicity. I'm now a slave to a very expensive 30 day rent cycle...

Would you be able to take your son on the road with you? I've watched alot of single mothers/fathers and families living on the road and van living. Most if not all homeschool their children and they children really seem to enjoy it. When I was little I know I would have loved it. Imagine studying the Grand Canyon and actually going there for a field trip. Anyway if that's not what you can do I wish you and your son peace, love and light. Nothing more important than our babies. Namaste 😀

if you want to clean the glass in the stove, just grab a piece of cloth and put on it some of the ashes from inside and rub it (sorry for my english), you will see its so much better than water and cloth, something I learned in my housekeeping job while havin a work and holiday in Australia :) bear hugs, Maca

You two make it so cozy and rich. I live in NM at 8600 ft. All the same reasons you love it are mine as well. Can’t be quite as isolated because of age and health but dang I love it too. Bird song in the morning and coyotes at night cozied to my wood stove watching these shows. Thank you!🙏

Rewatching this a year later it’s crazy how deep we are still in it. I definitely look forward to my tiny off the grid life. Researching & preparing for this life has us prepared for lockdown. We always stock up on food, I don’t much like being around a lot of people. I just stay home, watch y’all and crochet!

It’s amazingly beautiful... This is one of the best videos I have seen in a while. It must be amazing- the opportunity to know another soul with just the beauty of nature to teach you both how to care for one another. Some of the experience is not easy, I am sure... but when you stop to consider there are people all over the world who are dieing with absolutely nobody to care for them- then know that you have found something with each other worth more than all the money, worth more than all the gold in this world.

Howdy! I'm 73 and living on 5 marvelous acres in the country 50 miles from Louisville. Our son was born in Ft. Lauderdale in 1978 when we lived in Lauderdale Lakes. I hardly go out anymore so this idea of quarantine is nothing new. Cheers!

Vitamin D is very important because it regulates our immune system. Foods that are rich in vitamin D are: salmon, tuna, sardines, cod liver oil, eggs, mushrooms, beef liver, and most {cow’s milk, cereals, yogurt & OJ} in the US are fortified with vitamin D. Here in Ireland when we get a few inches of snow the country goes into lock down the two of ye would put us to shame cooking outside, and carrying on living most folks wouldn't stir outside the snow young and resilience is on your side as well I guess stay safe folks it's amazing how well matched both of ye are with outdoor life, respect to both of ye 😎👏

You guys need to get a 12'x20' shed. Put a couple of south facing windows in it on each side of the door. Insulate that sucker along with a wood stove and you got a cozy shelter for the winter. Love you guys. Take care. Vaughn

I lived and worked out of my 99 Durango for 8ys cutting fire wood and climbing trees. Just my dog and I. Loads of hardship and great times. You guys live high class. Good on ya. Keep it close to your hearts.

So peaceful... I had forgotten how lovely it is to be out in nature... "Man tires quickly of new discoveries and new inventions, but never of the beauty and wonder of nature".

Tip for cleaning the stove glass, dip the damp paper towel in some of the wood ash from the stove. it works as a light abrasive and cleans off all the soot without damaging the glass :) Love your videos! Greetings from Ireland!

We have a rag dedicated to cleaning the insert glass. I clean it wth ash right after I start the fire and the glass is a little warm. Love to be able to see the flames dance.

Nothing seems to phase you guys. I’m in awe.
