Gosh now every time I sing this, I cry, because of grey’s 🤦‍♀️😭😭

The first time I went into hospital this song was just out in the Charts. The second time I went into hospital I went into a catatonic state. After my mum came to visit me in the hospital (from a phone call from the docs saying it could be the end), she was driving back home and after about 15 minutes of quiet decided to put the Radio on what was Real Radio at the time after the ads this was the first song that came on, it was also playing on my ipod that my uncle put on so I could listen to my music. So everytime this comes on me and my mum think about each other and are thankful I made it out alive. (Not saying this for attention) Just this song has a special meaning to me, and always will.

The timing of the blue color is perfect, I haven't sung this in years,and barely listened to it, so I just vaguely, just barely, remembered what the tune was, but with the help of the blue . . . stuff. I remembered more and more.

I think my favorite part of the song is the lyrics that say those three words (I love you) is thrown around so much that it’s no longer a major sign of love. It resonates so much with me because growing up, I learned early on that you could tell if someone loved another not by words alone but by their actions. I really love this song and want to sing it to my friend (we both like each other and are open about it) to show how much I care for her. I’m hoping she’ll like it. This song will always hold a special place in my heart not because it’s a great melody but because the meaning behind it is beautiful.

The singing seems to start on the second bar of every chord except right at the last verse where it starts on the first bar of each chord, is this correct or am I missing something. It drives me crazy trying to play and sing the last bit and finish on time.

i have this issue too! it very samey and it can end up dragging but what is suggest is adding your own variations to some of the verses, doing this really helped me to get into the song and feel the music so i don’t sound too monotone

Harmonies are in the same melody as the original lead vocal, just a bit below / above

it's a harmony, there's high and low. high means above lead voice, low means below lead voice. they sing in different notes but on the same key. so that's not out of tune. yes it can throw you off if you can't control your pitch. but remember that we have word called "practice".

When I hear this song, all I could think about was when Derek died.
