They are rare because people need to slaughter wildlife out of fear.

No yapping & no crap music, the desperation of the Sheep & the bravery of the Leopard was incredible.

Rare and clear footage without amateur narration. Excellent.

Snow leopard bones must be made of rubber , otherwise is impossible to resist being fractured. Evolution has made an amazing animal!!! Fantastic video!!!

It was eventually served on a plate, meat naturally carved with a glass of water in the form of a running stream. He who dares wins. Great footage.

Meals must be very few and far between for the Snow Leopard to risk that much injury for a kill. Amazing footage.

The snow leopard must take these chances to survive. Interesting fact, the Mountain Lion in the Rocky Mountains has the highest success rate 7 out of ten.

Much love and respect for these creatures, each meal is a struggle between life and death.

I have watched a couple of videos related to snow leopards catching preys but ended up stumbling down a steep rocky hill etc. Amazingly they seemed have been injured but able to recover. What an amazing animal. Any human would have died tumbling down 10 feet on that mountain. Truly amazing. Built for that environment. Just not sure how much they practice that fall, get up, and chase again and again.

That is two different videos in the first you can clearly see the snow leopard has given up as he looks out, probably beginning to feel the injuries he has suffered after falling over the rocks struggling to bring down the blue sheep. The last one shows a well chewed up carcass a different leopard has come across.

that's not a blue sheep, that's minced sheep

The final shot of what seems to be an already eaten corpse of the sheep could be a edited version of after the Leopard comes back for second and third feasting on it. It would not be able to lift it up back to an area closer to home, and there may be actual other predators, eagles, other snow leopards who have come upon the corpse. Hard to say if the fall killed the sheep, or it died after awhile after sustaining injuries from such a hard and high fall and. Either way, both predator and prey has such a hard life but they alone can survive in this niche of environment and surroundings. Nature is amazing that it fills these areas with life, those that live in it, and those that prey on things living in it.

The Sheep fell 400 feet. The body was completely smashed. Not possible to identify anything once it falls from that much height.

You can say that all you want but the footage never shows the true height of the fall… which would have been such a simple pan out to show this.

I saw the full video, the goat survived the fall and the mountain lion was badly injured but recovered, all this is part of a documentary that should be here on KZread.

It seems the snow leopard is usually kicked by rocks during the huntings because it was not injured. Maybe it knows how to fall in the correct way to avoid damages. One dream of our channel is to be able to film a snow leopard. One of the best videos of snow leopards hunting that we have seen ever. Congratulations 👏 👏👏

That leopard knew its limitations. Very tough to lunge from above every hunt and take in a tumble over rocks but a shear cliff would have been certain death. Scared the goat over but didn't follow.

Amazing footage! In the West US we have cougars, however they hunt exclusively at night. This particular kill was the most amazing thing!

They both were too tired to run fast after the wrestle so when the bharal went into the steep rock, it couldn't control itself anymore. So in one way or another, the bharal could not escape.

I have to wonder how the leopard actually got down off the cliff ... or if it is a different one that ate the kill ... or even if the kill shown is the same sheep that dropped to its death.

No footage of the leopard descending and claiming the kill? That last shot looked like it was a couple days later, or not the same hunt.

The enormous price of that meal. Over the millennia the ibex has relocated higher into more remote and rugged terrain for its safety and the leopard did all the same for its dinner. The short but very bruising effort involved after probably a long prelude of patient approach and waiting but recuperation for another attempt is it possible. (Bruce Lee nor any such film character in their own film wouldn't have survived such, no one would believe the script.)

This reminds of the guy jumping out of the World Trade Center to escape the fire on 9/11. Sometimes life comes down to two impossible choices. I would also choose jumping over burning alive / eaten alive.
