Wowsers!! Thank you SO much!!!

I’m just sitting here in „good old Germany“ suffering a lot. One of my cats is quite ill. The last days were filled with tears and hope and anxiety…. Behind me a odyssey of visiting vets and medications and good advices. All in all a nightmare! A emotional rollercoaster! Less sleep and always this hope, all this up and downs…Calming me to watch your video now. Thank you Cathy and Indi. Still shredding tears ❤

Thank you. I hear you, and will stay safe. It's a funny thing because the 'just right challenge' feels like my way of being good to myself. That little bit of discomfort, just within my capabilities leaves me feeling so alive and refreshed and happy. Definitely needs to be the right balance though doesn't it. Not unsafe. Chilly but brilliant location. Certainly was a great winter wonderland though Indi obviously perferred her bed. Thanks for allowing us to join your OT.

I just stumbled across your video. I absolutely love New Zealand so any time I get to watch and see some of it's beautiful countryside I do. I love camping but unfortunately can't do the hiking side of things anymore so I enjoy that through others. It's cold here in South Australia but even colder over there in the snow. We had our honeymoon over there 37 years ago in June and we had never had -18C and haven't since but I remember it well. Thanks for taking me on a lovely adventure with you and Indy.

Very wet and very cold camp. Your amazing. Love the camp spot and scenery. Indi was having none of the cold. They always beat you to the warmest spot. I always feel relax when I watch your videos. Thanks for sharing. See you on the next one. ❤❤

I am really glad!! That is what I hope when I am filming the videos. I truly want to share some of the beauty and calm and adventure of life with others. I am often out there thinking of everyone who is at that moment slogging away at work (as I must do too 😉 when I get back from a trip) and it doesn’t seem fair to keep it to myself.

Another fantastic trip Cathy, but as Tony from A B Camping would say the conditions were grim. Loved all the landscapes and that waterfall was just spectacular. Keep well and I will be looking forward to see how you car camp. Big cuddle for Indy she is such a good girl.

Stunning views of the mountains and the awesome waterfall!! Thanks for all the Indi shots! She looks so much like my lab mix. He just turned 14. We still camp but at much shorter distances and better conditions. He’s still a trooper though! Love your videos!!

Another relaxing, enjoyable watch on a foggy day down South, looked so beautiful there. Looking forward to your car camp, keen to see if you ‘feel’ as relaxed as your bush camp. I’ve had great results using clear Gear Aid Tenacious Tape for tent repairs, I put tape on both sides of the tear and also round the corners of the tape too🏕

I love that you have ferns all over. Me here where I am. We have to bye them every summer. And in the winter months are temperature can go to -15 to -20. And lots of snow about 25 to 30 feet of snow in the winter months . Love Louise. Canada

Even here they are so expensive to buy from a garden shop. Sometimes I try to imagine how much it would cost to plant out even a small fraction of a valley I am in, and then it blows my mind so I move on to other crazy thoughts. Lol.

😆 that is funny about the adds, we must think alike. I usuallly think of it as a good excuse to look up, do something, and let the adds roll for the creator of the content’s sake. It’s an easy but impactful gesture. Thanks for your encouraging words 🙂

Hi Cathy. Yet another great video and location to go to. I'll have to add this one to the list of hikes to do as well. I had a look on the map at the Tarn you did by Maruia a few months ago. Cheers Aaron. This is a less known spot but I highly recommend it for experienced trampers. You won’t be disappointed by the views at the head of the valley.

That was such a beautiful spot and really enjoyable video. Makes me want to pack up my pup and drive off but I can't tolerate the cold like you so I'm waiting for spring. Thank you. I agree, the location was fantastic. It was a tricky spot to get to, but well worth it. So cold though. I am really glad you enjoyed the video. My jacket is a down jacket from Outdoor Research, but it is a couple of seasons old now, and they don't make this style anymore.

Thanks Vivian. I think your observations of Indi are spot on, she would rather come (ANYWHERE) than be left behind, but she didn't look like she was having as much fun as usual in the very cold and wet conditions. With that in mind I went and did a car camp a couple of days ago, and she LOVED that. Super cosy.

hmm I think much better if you bring extra one Led Lamp for backlight ,so your camera lens will not struggle and bring much detail of your video specially during talking head video
