Snot Wheels (My First Impressions)

I decided to try snot wheels as spitfire formula four's are no longer in my budget. Let's find out if they are any good.

Got the deal of the century on some Powell Dragon formula 93a wheels, I usually skate 53s or 54mm if no 53s but have some 55s 90a on an old school deck. Dragons are 56mm and I ❤️ Em!

That’s great! I’ve ridden some dragons on a friend’s setup and liked them. Not the wheel I would personally ride everyday

Spitfires are two to three times more expensin in europe than they are in us. Salaries in where I live are 2 to three times lower than u.s. Spitfire does not make sense for a long time already. Instead I use deluxe wheels (yes that’s the name of the brand), minilogos and even bones. Also looking for wayward and oj.

Snot Wheels are made very well. They are manufactured by AEND Industries in Hutto, Texas.

I’m very impressed so far. I can tell they’re not just generics with a brand name on the side like a lot of companies.

I just looked up how much 60 pounds is in US dollars (I'm from the USA) and wow... I would not buy Spitfires for that price either. Actually, I don't think any wheels are worth that much. I'm glad Snot Wheels are priced affordably where you're at. They're about $30 (23 pounds) where I live. Of course they have to import them into your country, so the price difference makes sense.

We have tax already included in our prices so I’m not sure if that evens it out a bit? but still not worth it to me. I believe snot wheels are also US made but they’re an English company so we still get import charges. Just they way it is haha

Yeah, I’ve recently moved to London from Atlanta, and everything here is just insane expensive. I left my deck in the US and wanted to get the same grip tape I had-I found it online and it cost $14 plus $40 shipping.

@@thekaratekidpartii2169 Yeah man cost of living is crazy in london let alone funding personal hobbies. Best thing to do is support the UK brands to get better prices (death, cafe, heroine, ect)

Either Spitfires are too expensive or the mark up is too much. Certainly something is whack right now. It’s almost like it’s a luxury good right now. The Bones X-Formula wheels are a slightly cheaper alternative and from my experience riding the X97s are very good wheels.

Oh it’s definitely a crazy mark up. Even their classic formula is still more expensive than most. I’d say 80% of people skate them if not more so they know they can charge a premium. I remember during covid they were like gold dust.

@@averageskater900 yeah why not try and find something else that rides good? I did get the Spitfire 93s but for 55 pounds over here in Sweden. But it’s like you say the price generally is all the way up to 75 pounds and that’s just cray cray. In my experience the 93A Dragons were comfy as hell but a little too grippy and bouncy. The X97s are very nice but the Spitfire 93s are just a perfect all round wheel to me. Especially after the first few sessions where you’ve gotten them broken in. They are very comfy but still feel like a harder wheel and slide well enough. The X97s are just a tad too hard for my ole time feet though they are definitely not anywhere near as hard as say a 99A Spitfire.

Deluxe is great... but they are not making a great decision by increasing their prices. Insane.
