Hi guys! I recently started a podcast and Episode 4 features Mikey Doling from SNOT; we discuss "Get Some", Absent", "Strait Up" and much more. LIFE IS PEACHY PODCAST (Link can be found in the description section of this video) is available on most streaming platforms. Thanks for the support with the documentary - it was a pleasure and privilege to work with the one and only SNOT. Get Some!!
I've met a lot of musician's/bands (Korn, deftones, Manson, etc.), but Lynn was the ONLY person who actually treated me like i was a life long friend. He was so appreciative and greatful that I came to the show, someone he had never even met before. That really took me by surprise, and I'll never forget it.

When i met Dave and guys from Drowning Pool back before they got big at a small club in Dallas they were all the same way
I would give up so many other bands to get 1 more Lynn Straight Snot album. That whole damn album is just special.
Lynn is the best heavy singer I’ve ever heard. The way he could yell with range and articulation is amazing and nobody has come close to his style. Between the bands raw talent and his vocals shit I’ve missed them every day since Lynn’s passing. The song absent is my favorite because it shows how they were just getting started to become a musical powerhouse. His death still makes me shake my head and almost cry out of all that crash only dobbs and Lynn died. The original snot will live in my heart forever I will never forget how perfectly complete they were. When I look back on it no band has ever been that perfect. Terrible ending to something soo great

John I feel you 100%. Something great was taken from us, and I think numetal would have been remembered quite fondly if he lived. It's almost torture to have heard a band blend groove metal, ska, hip hop and hardcore punk so well and have it be the sound that resonates with you most, and instead of it nearly inventing a new genre of rock like we know they would have, it's just obscure old man music now with only 1 fun but immature album to show for it.

@@Magknot707 It doesn't for me, because I know what it is and the potential they had. I'm saying it's not and never will be revered in the collective consciousness as a timeless masterpiece. Snot is a forever favorite in my heavy rotation because of the blatant and honest emotion that Lynn pours into every song. The energy that comes from a Snot song has yet to be duplicated. Theses dudes were fucking dope and had the world in its grasp for only a split second. Really rad to hear people still appreciate and love this music.

@ Snooze Box too. Fuck! That whole record is bad as shit. Way more Hardcore then Nu Metal. Infact I BET if he didn't get killed, the next record woulda been a departure from that style of music ala Deftones. I think they used the Hip Hop rock just to get signed.

Snot, in my opinion is the best band to have released a single album. I was introduced to Snot via Angel's Son from Sevendust and Get Some is a truly unique, passionate and fun record that I keep coming back to year after year! I've introduced the record to my wife, friends who liked the "Nu-Metal" scene etc. The songs have a timeless quality and considering the times we are in now Snoozebutton could not be more appropriate.

Wow I started watching but I didn’t think that after 24+ yrs after Lynn and Dobbs passing I’d still cry. I can remember back in 1996 dating Lynn’s sister and meeting Lynn & some of the band at Summerland Cafe or taking Dobbs to Butterfly Beach and the rest is history. To Mikey and the rest of the band it was really good seeing you guys. I truly miss and truly love you guys. We will forever be tied together in this thing called life. Lynn I love you to. Wow thank you for sharing this RIP Lynn and Dobbs.
Snot is not dated at all the music is better then most shit out now. The lyrics fit the shit still to this day.""Snooze Button" Well, it's just another song Talkin' about how you let them take your rights Another redundant verse about how you refused to fight & lost What cost? Your cause has got no champion How could you hope to win? By just complaining Now it's raining on you parade Decisions made could cost you dearly Not just your money but your freedom Are you wealthy improper choices could be deadly They took your so-called rights You didn't even fight Well, here's your motherfuckin' wake up call & there just ain't no way around it Caught you asleep once again & we ain't havin' it Got freedumb for you to do just what they tell you You missed that train of thought You refuse to be taught a lesson Now this is what I'm guessing You'll be held accountable The things you didn't want to know You're stressin' Now with your mind they keep messin' They took your so-called rights, you didn't even fight While you were busy fuckin' sleepin' You know your government was creepin' Somebody left the door unlocked while you were asleep Your life was bought & sold, yes, to the highest bidder Left you in sitcom hell So convinced you're doing well You sit back synapses are attacked American gladiators are the only thing they're given' back You're dying & in your mind, while they keep lying, They took your so-called rights You didn't even fight Now that we've given you this message you've got a mess But you can salvage, continue to grow & soon you'll know that little things in life can make a difference You don't got to be some politician Take back those given rights Stand up & join the fight" Thats why the loss of Lynn was such a HUGE tragedy in Metal, and music as a hole.

I was pretty conflicted at 13, skateboarding was it, but id started partying but i loved my straight edge bands, i was a dorky punk but loved my metal, and it seemed like with my friends and shit there was barriers between it all, you couldnt drink beer and listen to earth crisis, and for damn sure my rap cassettes were on the DL from EVERYONE. I read a little piece on Snot in Thrasher, back in the stapled binding days, alright , best all around trophy at the last fire for end of punk rock summer camp I think is how the review went. Somehow found a copy of get some at CD warehouse, sat in there and listened to the whole thing, then hid it cuz it wss 6.99 and i wàs 13. or rather try to, but got called out on what the fuck I was doing by the clerk cuz it was like this tiny little nothing building and there was only two of us in there. so I told him and he's like dude I'll just hold it for you man it's not a big deal stupid 13-year-olds man don't know how the world works 😂 Get Some and Lynn kind of cemented for me that I didn't have to be all the way one thing all the way another thing or all the way just something else I could take a piece of everything and make it me and I could do it with a fuck you attitude not a weakness all the while still having fun. get some played a big part in me realizing that. it might look like I have a tear in my eye right now, but its SNOT ! 🍋
