@@Hardupgarage well I showed this to snoop last night and he confirmed it was his car but they only used it for the up on smoke tour in 2001 in Europe they had 2 snoop devilles and 1 64 impala ss lowrider they stayed in Europe off for action as they came back to the states the cars stayed with u guys out there and got sold off to private collectors for big dollars wonder what their worth today but he lit like a Christmas tree when I showed him your video

Phoenix gold was a high end expensive amp company back in the day. The circuit boards had actual real 24k Gold in them. That's why the one amp is installed backwards with glass in front of them to see the Gold. Red was also high end hydraulics back than. It's a good chance it might be Snoops due to the expensive gear.

I find it impossible to believe that someone would be stupid enough to take a snoop dog car. Drive it into a field and just get out and walk away. That's insane considering how much this car is worth.

The glove box is probably locked. Maybe check those keys in the ignition for the glove box key. Keep on Snooping

What a score that things sick , what a shame it got left to rot like that . I’m in a Facebook group with now an then low riders an it’s crazy to see some of these masterpieces completely destroyed 20-30 years later . Can’t wait to see more content on this car

Definitely an old school build. It looks more in the vein of a tribute car judging by the look of the craftsmanship. Even back in the 90s Snoop had the means to have a much higher quality of work done to customize one of his personal vehicles.

I’m just speculating but… If it was a for a European tour he may have just found a car there and had the audio and hydraulics shipped over to be built on budget and just be left behind instead of paying double to send a personal car from the states back and forth.

Its a 1968, 7litre V8, 429 big block. It was used by snoop dogg when touring, there's an image on Google of it in the London museum with a write up 👍

Anybody who knows car audio should be able to look at that amp like i did without even seeing the name of this amp and know its Phoenix Gold! Owened a few of them back in the day, and a show car that was all Phoenix Gold had 2 Phoenix Gold Saphfire 10's in a bandpass box, etc. That's when they were good! That's old school Reds hydraulics, too! The flag Jamaica colors, bro! Snoop has family there, i believe.

I love it. My dad had a 1968 cadillac.

when working on the suspension look to check if it was reinforced. If it was just for a couple of shows then they might not have reinforced it. if you plan on hopping it or 3 wheeling it reinforcements are necessary if you dont want to crack or twist the frame. also looks to be an old school reds hydro setup they recently opened back up and you can get parts from them or most parts for the hydros are universal. if you have any questions with the hydros you can get up with me and ill give you my fb or something and depending on you location may be able to get you in contact with a few local hydro guys.

Those wire wheels if the say. Dayton on the front center hub or a serial number inside the hub then you got some real wire wheels worth restoring if it says nothing then you can buy some for cheap. Good luck on it

There will be a vin and engine code stamped on the back of the block right behind the intake manifold, worst case. 68 would be the first year of the 472 big block, before that it would have had a 429.

The level of disrespect shown to that car is shameful. Can't imagine why Snoop would have a 1968 Cadillac convertible with a German flag on it. But, GREAT for content!

@@Hardupgarage more than likely, it was never snoops car, the record label owned it ( as a stage prop ) and probably leased it out or outright sold it to the museum to re-coupe money from the tour.

That is for sure his car im 100% positive it was built in germany for a show he did in germany! It was a last minute throw together! And from what i find he still drove it when he was in england when the museum had it!

So mind blowing they left it out like this

So, I don't know what the deal is with this car, but most of the cars snoop used on tour were built strictly for the stage. Meaning they had to shave weight where they can. So, to allow the cars use of the hydraulics they took out the engines and the cars were converted to drive using golf cart guts, i believe electric motor conversions but i don't remember.

That's most definitely a 68. My first car when I was 17 back in 1979 was a 68 caddy. It was an absolute dream to drive. Great memories!

If I remember rightly he had a American car (Can't remember what make or model) at his concert at Birmingham in 96 but I'm sure it was another colour.

Those Reds pumps have internal check valves so when you hit the switch and the car doesn't go up you'll have to remove the dump valve to reseat the check ball,ask me how I know

The advert for the car history stuff is awesome..carfax/carfox etc..but means nothing to a vehicle over 20 yrs old or so. Back then it was pencil& pad estimates and repairs, and then alot of ppl would pay cash & not use ther ins. Btw ive never seen tires that bald in my life on a farm tractor in the background lol

I have two of their 8 inchers, speakers and tweeters in a $900 97 Tercel I bought a few months ago. I'm not sure how old the stereo is (the aux port is in the back of the deck) or how much the watts and amps are but it hella thumps so clearly and hard. Amazing brand.
