One of the greatest cuesports player ever! Great tactician!
I swear every pool commentary video I watch is just full of justifications as to why pool is really hard hahahaha and why snooker players might struggle

The reason pro snooker players dont usually win at pool is because theyre different games and the top pro pool players have some nuance that gives them the edge. But they still can compete with the pro pool players. Put a pro pool player against even a good amateur in snooker and they will not even compete. So there is the answer... Yes snooker is harder, but the best pro pool players are better at pool than the best pro snooker players.

2006 uk pool final : selby vs appleton. One went and became 4 times snooker world champ, the other, multiple US pool world champion. Uk pool players are not "worse" than snooker players or pool players. Just a different sports. More about touch, tight positioning and finding solutions.

😅😅 sorry to correct your mistake.. Mark Selby was the 1998 England under 15 Snooker champion.. 😅😅 He turned professional in 1999, aged 16. He made his Crucible debut in 2005. All these was before his 2006 World 8 ball Pool championship.. 😅😅

@@starhawkflyingbright6905 Yeah, he was Pool champion well after he started his Snooker career. If anything, Snooker automatically makes you a good Pool player. Unfortunately, it doesn't work the other way around. 😉

@@chakko007 totally agree! that’s what I’m trying to tell others. They often claimed him as a pro pool player first and then a pro snooker player which is wrong. Mark Shelby won England under 15 snooker championship. He was a trained professional snooker player who went to play some pool and won a major pool tournament.
The fact Mark Selby won a snooker tournament then a pool tournament back to back days is ridiculous. So under appreciated
Thanks for this compilation! Amazing! Mark Selby is truly such a wonderful player (and Gareth as well, of course)

What a beasty combo
Selby looks so huge working around this small table
I'm not surprise. It's like a race car vs stock car
Brilliant
My budget isn't even as tight as Gareth's shirts.

This table is smaller than for a classic pool ?
my left ear enjoyed the commentary
Why do they sometimes alternate (in the last game/frame), and sometimes Mark plays all the shots?
@toramenor
Жыл бұрын
That's how the rules are for every match. This is the compilation of just Mark's frames from all the matches + the final frame when they won, but in any match there will be frames where just Mark plays, then just Gareth, then alternate. The same for the other pair as well
Unfair pairing 😂
Wow what a fascinating and skilled video I’m sure the comments section is in no way going to be a pretentious pissing contest
Should be illegal for top snooker players to play pool. An absolute cheat code.

What is he talking about "holds the highest competetive break in snooker" ?
Commentators going on about golden breaks or a cueball tracking to a pocket.

4:00 dont be that teammate when your partner is running the entire rack and you come and break concentration to add in your advice... I absolutely hate that. Edit: 6:20 DUDE GO SIT DOWN WTF!!!
Just what people want to see.. one player coverage.. tell you what, how about doing that on a football match, showing every ot of possession by one team, and ZERO coverage of the other team.. this is an absolute joke video, ignoring all other players to watch one player only.. and of course we all know we aren't going to see him miss a feckin ball, cos that wouldn't be shown.. #borefest
Not that impressive
You lot really like using all the snooker players to boost your views don't you! Relying on the better cueists from the better cue sport! SHOCK

Ah yes, the internet. Everyone has to desperately try to start arguments and be weird about literally anything, behaving totally differently to how they do in real life to people's faces. This is why so-called "AI" like this ChatGPT nonsense is becoming aggressive, argumentative, gaslighting, lying and plain weird, because this is where it's learning all it's behaviour from.

@@chyanfrancisco4818 The thing about Selby is that he was a pro pool player before he pursued snooker as a career, so he has a better grasp of fundamentals and strategies than someone like Judd Trump (no offense to Trump, but after seeing Jayson Shaw crush him like that proves to me that if you play snooker and think pool is easy, then you already play pool.)
This is like a kids' game for him.
Snookers is crap. Imagine have a huge table and only using half of it and then you need a wearhouse for storage and a non-player to fetch your pocketed balls.😂🤣
