Omg I was in that crowd during Kingsday a few years back. Snollebollekes is not my type of Dutch music, but it’s fun to do it with such a huge crowd. In the south of the Netherlands we celebrate Carnaval (Oktoberfest meets Halloween dress-up to describe it bluntly)and Snollebollekes are known as a band who make a lot of carnaval-songs for that time of year.

Yes! I love this. This man knows how to party, great advertisement for our southern part of the Netherlands 😊. Not my style, but briliant none the less....I like hearing our Brabants dialect 😆. And actually, this guy isn't as "shalow" as he leads on😉. He won this big Dutch tv quiz called "De slimste mens" (the smartest human). Whitch is quite a big deal here.

Snollebollekes with Links, Rechts could be the national anthem of the Netherlands. It's a great party song. And yes, we Dutch love this kind of nonsense :-) Just go wild.

As dutchies we had one lousy week behind us so to say. This is what you need after that. (beginning of the week we lost a nationally wellknown and respected crimejournalist, who got assassinated. And the end of the week in the south of the country we had a waterflood due to which many people had to leave their houses, etc. Many victims and deaths in Germany and Belgium too).

This song is actually only released in 2017, but because the sight of such a large number of fans moving is a beautyfull sight football fans have sung it in stadiums (while moving) including the dutch women team. So it has gotten really popular. Oh and also carnaval, you should check that out

Going to see them in October in my hometown!

The last name of our royal family is Oranje (Orange) which became our national color beside the national red-white-blue flag. It is a huge tradition to have a national party on the birthday of our king and Radio538 as one of our commercial radio stations likes to held a huge event the whole day long with live artists. As we Dutch are proud of who or what we are, with many international sports events you can see a lot of orange on the stands as well.

Flag actually used to be orange-white-blue (oranje, blanje, bleu), but the coloring used to create orange in flags in that time lost pigment over time, so the orange turned white eventually. Red held its color way better, so they started using that, but to keep orange in, you can add a pennant to your flag (like on kingsday happens).

Looks like you all had a lot of fun, was a blast to watch!

Laughing so much 😂 welcome to the crazy dutch orange people lol. I remember they had a concert in Arnhem the town I work. Whole city was blocked by concert traffic. I stayed at work till everyone was in the stadium so i could drive lol.

Oh boy, people trying to show you the "dark" side of Dutch music now? lol This is a party band, fun and all but certainly not top quality musicianship. We have a lot of great music and musicians, but this kind of music... for me does not fall into that category, this is what you expect to hear at some fair or yard-sale event. Dont get me wrong, i like them well enough, the singer is a really great guy with tons of humor, but the music... its nothing special, but it does get a party going i guess. Well, he does have a university degree, he’s not a simple guy from the swamp.
