I think in-game weather has some sort of schedule, a couple weeks ago it rained in every woods raid I went into for a whole week. Not sure if it’s procedurally generated or what.

My friend's very first game was a factory run where we spawned in alone, or perhaps the other pmcs were hiding in their holes, but we heard no gunshots or fighting, only the occasional breeki laugh.

Might be because of how much foliage is in the game. All those blades of grass and trees create a problem for some uploaders and especially youtube lol

I know this is bad advice, but be more aggressive. This applies to all FPS games. Since you have a higher ping, you pop up in the enemy screen slower. In simple terms, you can see your enemy faster then they can see you. So peek more.

@@Chinchingbread well actually, this is not true. Peeking first just makes a high ping player have a more balanced chance to win the gunfight. It gets complicated as different games and servers handle lag compensation differently, and players have different ping, but generally speaking, low ping players will always have the best advantage, and will be able to react quickly to kill the high ping player who is peeking. If they don't react quick enough then the high ping player will win, but the high ping player is still at a disadvantage. I can't tell you how many times I've lost a gunfight to a guy who I had dead to rights, and they have like 5 hp left cause my ping is garbo (yes I peek first).

All you can do is work on your crosshair placement and reaction time, try to get mostly headshots ... If you have high ping you just have to accept that you will always be at a disadvantage, and be prepared to lose some fights that you just cannot win. Cheers mate.

If you insure all your gear n die, if no player takes that gear then it will be returned to you. So let’s say you insure everything n die but a guy takes your gun you’ll get everything back but that gun. Your stuff usually takes 24hrs to come back n you only have a certain amount of time to claim it depending on who you insured with.

Depends on the mounts you use. When the scope is to far away or at an unusual angle you can’t see anything but the center of it.

The game has some FOV issues with some scopes, on some mounts, on some guns so you just have to experiment and learn what works with what. Some of it is intentional because of 'realism' with gunsmithing, other stuff is just bugged and broken. You shoulda seen the old ACOG scopes on some guns/FOV it was unusable. Sights on shotguns is a good example of what I'm talking about, still bugged

It’s by far the hardest game I’ve ever played...Scavs alone can shred you if you’re a typical cod player

Fucking loved Namalsk on Arma 2, I would love a similar map to tarkov with the Military bunkers on the mountain

@@pudding126 It's nothing to do with painkillers.Painkillers sharpen everything by design. They don't pixelate anything. That's an issue with compression when the game is recorded and then uploaded to KZread.

Low bitrate (video quality) because they are from his streams, and then it doesn't help when KZread also compresses the video when you upload.

@@MrProfilen DayZ had the same problem. Compression algorithms do not handle multiple shades of similar colors very well, they just end up looking blurry and pixelated.

400 DPI, the only correct DPI. Low sens+raw input always is better than high sens for shooters on PC

You start at a random spawn location and have 20-50 minutes to make it to an "extraction" where you leave the map. If you succeed at extracting you keep all the loot you scavenged. If you die you lose it all. To know if you got a kill either find the body or extract and see if they are in your post raid kill list

@@mojosash There is a global inventory, a player driven market and traders. You basically find items and either use them to 1) complete tasks to level up traders to unlock new items to buy for currency or 2) sell found items to either traders or other players, so you get currency to fund items for quests or for buying gear to enter raids. It has satisfying gameplay loop, even though it is a bit pointless tbh, you invest in yourself, which is at the same time a risk and a risk mitigator, get in a Raid and hopefully get out with a profit. There are quests that explore a bit the lore of the world, but it's nothing too elaborate. Not everyone likes the sort of "lack of purpose" the game has, but it feels nice to hit a cool shot and just know that whoever was in the receiving end probably got pissed because of all the shit they lost. Also it has that feeling of andrenaline, like being afraid to lose all your gear and all, like there are actual stakes in the game. At least for the most part, end game kinda becomes a bit pointless, everyone has spare money enough so their loot doesn't really matter that much.

The amount of micro management of keeping your character warm and not hot, full and not fat etc in scum killed it for me... they better do it right in this game or its game over.

I was watching this while loading into a Tarkov match and I noticed that we had the same loadouts and gear. lol

Trust me if you where in the moment you would see him, I see tons of nasty kills that look hard and I can always hit them.

For the majority of players, that's the reality of this game. Survival rate is usually 10-20% for most people.

9:34 what Shroud is saying there has to be BS, why would Battlestates put a min and max amounts of players on the map when doing the selection then ? doesn't make sense at all - the "waiting for players part" is simply the game waiting to have at least the minimum amount of players required as indicated when doing the map selection before starting the game (ex: Interchange is 10-14, Cutoms is 7-12, etc)

Sometimes if you wait to long the game will put you in with less players. I have been in games with no pmcs but myself. It will often happen on unpopular raids in downtime’s of less popular servers. Like nighttime factory on a lesser populated game region

You're wrong. It is possible. It was more prevalent the further back in patches you go cause the player count was much lower. Even without the region lock several wipes ago at night there was a decent chance you would be solo.
