Great video and really useful as I am attempting colored pencil bird art for the first time. Thanks! I had to change the speed to .75 🤣
Thank you for this 🙂 Feathers are on of the hardest things to draw. Would your technique also work with indenting the paper with a dotting tool? The worst Feathers for me is when you can see long individual Feathers with details on both sides of it. Hope that makes sense. Don't know that its called lol

I think an embossing tool might help, but it doesn't always work for super tiny details, I think it works best for whiskers or hairs because they are larger and you can't get fine indentations with an embossing tool.
I absolutely love your videos and I learn so much from them. I really would like it if you could speak slower. As a person with mental fatigue and other chronic stress/anxiety disorders speedy talking while I'm trying to concentrate and process information is just impossible. To my brain it's like listening to the speedy rambling sound that is made if you rewind a voice recording. It just makes it really really hard to concentrate on taking in the information you're trying to give. And I have to rewatch things over and over to learn something that could have been a lot faster and easier.

Sorry you have trouble with that, I hope things improve for you! The pace that I talk in my videos is how I talk naturally, and I don't really think it is fair to ask someone to change something about themselves to suit others, that they can't change. So if my fast talking is not something you like, you don't have to watch my videos, there are lots of other artists and creators out there. 😀

Try dropping the speed of the video to 0.75 i find most people naturally talk fast and cant help it, we live in a fast paced environment. I have to drop the speed at times too. X
