Looks a really good game just a pity not solo friendly. Had to make a decision and have gone with Traces of Hubris. Excellent and informative as ever, many tthank's.

Looking forward to this one! I will definitely be trying to figure out how play it solo ... perhaps a little bit of mental jiggery-pokery to fool myself!

Thanks for the thorough unboxing Rough. Played 2 scenarios so far and must say I find it a brilliant system. Of course I'm super biased. The system is innovative yet easy to learn and still injects a lot of history - without feeling to scripted for the players. The Must Play Immediately cards are a nice twist on the CDG idea, overriding the player's plan with more chaos and unpredictability.

Great looking components, thanks for this unboxing Rough. I'm not fond of napoleonic games but I'm looking forward watching the playthrough still.

I have pre-ordered. Looks amazing. Only drawback is stickers. How I hate having to mess with those.

luckily there are far fewer stickers than in most blockgames. And you dont need to apply the flag stickers to the other side of the order blocks since they are colored for side :)

I am becoming a real fan of Vuca, a real shame about solitaire suitability, but looks another great production from them.

Looks like a lovely game but unfortunately I have to pass on this one Rough. I am looking at picking up a copy of Napoleon Against Russia from Operational Studies Group which I feel does a much better coverage of the 1812 Russian campaign. Also has the added benefit of being in a game system I already have several games for. While I am not in the market to buy this game I would definitely not say no to playing it. Perhaps you can get the rest of the gang to play this live sometime!

As Napoleon Against Russia is a tactical level game, I would argue that it and my operational level 1812 game, would complement each other perfectly ;) But I fully understand the need and desire to focus on selected series to keep the shelves from exploding, as that is something I am struggling with myself :D

@@brianasklev3508 I meant no disrespect so I hope you did not take it that way. I made the decision a bit ago to stick to series games as much as possible to make it easier to get more games on the table. Id definitely play your game if someone asked me to. I think the components are great and it looks like fun. I am definitely interested in the subject matter. I hear you on that! Oddly enough I have been struggling the last couple of weeks to get into playing any game. I definitely want to avoid buying games just for the sake of buying the new shiny so to speak. Only been in the hobby for about three years and my collection is only at 25 games. I think I average about 8 games a year purchase wise which isn't too bad I don't think.

No disrespect taken at all 😊 I also try to focus on a few series so I can focus on playing and spend less time learning new rules. I am not always successful though as the lure of new and shiny games can be overwhelming at times 😆

@@brianasklev3508 I think that is the bane of wargamers to constantly have to learn new rules for each game you play. Definitely makes it easier if you stick to series games but that does get boring hah. Fortunately I have largely picked up the big games I wanted and now I am in sniper mode looking for great deals on the others on that list. I really like the Great Battles of History series, the Great Battles of the American Civil War, Musket and Pike, Flying Colors, Library of Napoleonic Battles, The Hunters series and Simonitch's 'xx series. I do need to branch out to getting some games from other companies.
