To have all that furniture just left there, while it may seem like a mess, will be a HUGE asset!!! I follow several other chateau owners' vlogs & they're always on the hunt for pieces to fill their empty spaces. I'm sure some of it won't be to your vision but at least you don't have to start out scrambling for a place to sit. I'm very excited to follow your journey.

Congratulations on your new home , new journey in your life. It's sad that all the previous owners life belongs were left behind but it's awesome for you cause I'm sure there is lots and lots of treasures to be found and taken care of by you and your family. But I would go through everything like you are doing a keep pile, a maybe keep pile, a get rid of pile , and just a ordinary trash pile for like the old food and such.. Then I would try and find some of the previous owners family to see if any of them would like to see if they want any of the P. owners things.. surely the family would want photos and other things . Maybe the p. owner's family wasn't allowed to go into the Chateau to clear out owner's belongings. I would be heartbroken if I couldn't get family photos or any of the belongings that meant something to the family. I think you have a beautiful Chateau that needs some love , I can't wait to see all that you do bring back Her (Chateau) to glory. What is the name of the Chateau? What area in France is the Chateau? I'm live in the U.S.A. and I love watching videos of people bringing Chateaus back to life. Do you have a KZread channel for your crafting?

Nice purchase, start by cutting the grass or get some goats to eat it down. Just subscribed to this channel. I would start with the major repairs first. The rest will fall into place later.

As u clear the Garden i think u find a lot of things that have been covered in grass for many years . Please paint the shutters a better colour .

Probably way down on the list but they also need to be specially remade because they don’t fit the shape. It looks weird. It’s possible they might just be removed altogether. It’s only an early 1900’s house anyway and it looks like they have been added as an afterthought. Much speculation here of course. Perhaps they like the colour though! Who knows.

Yes, we will be changing the shutters to a better colour, and we are still working on the garden 😀

We moved on location on 14th February this year. Unfortunately, when we picked up the keys, nothing was connected or working, so we took 2 months to sort everything out and clean the gite which is on site. We decided to move into the gite so we can start working on the rooms in the Chateau when we are not working full time😀

Are you aware your sound is going in and out?

Get a tractor to mow the lawn.

Sorry to mention but the sound was very patchy and your lips didn’t match what you were saying. I had to switch off. Hopefully the next episode will be better because I cannot wait to see your journey

No, the shutters came that colour, but we will be changing it, I will however have 1 pink room 😀
